Here's my 2 1/2 month progress working with a functional health coach and personal trainer! The left me was eating 1000 calories per day, doing excessive cardio, and then binging on weekends. The right me is eating 2000 calories per day, lifting 4x per week, and tracking my macros consistently. I was really sick 2 1/2 months ago and im really thankful I decided to invest in my health. I have 2 children and run a business full time, so I work out at home amidst the chaos. I know how hard it is to stay in shape while raising a family, you all are doing such a great job! Thank you all for the encouragement! XO
Good job on changing the eating like that, combined with your training. I still find controlling my eating the hardest thing to do2 -

You're not.
Seeing these pics makes me wonder wtf I am. I'm a mom, but I'm not "thin" or "in shape" or "hot".

Courageous 😚 I would not have the guts to post my current self. When I look in the mirror, I see well, what I see. I do have positive attributes but not the entire package. Forging ahead, not focussed on how I arrived at this point in my life and focussing each day, making progress and seeing results, feeling proud of the results from my efforts. Working on my emotional well being and physique are synonymous. 😙5

You’d be surprised, 3 years ago a bunch of people on here inspired me to post a bikini pic no matter what shape I was in (at that point I hadn’t worn a bikini in 8 years) . I did and the support from the group, I believe is what pushed me to keep going. I gotta find that post, I was so mortified posting it and still cringe knowing it’s on here but owning where I was somehow helped.8 -

Because I don’t know where else to put it.....
That last sentence goes for everyone i think
People, love yourself for who you are now
Don't be too harsh on yourself
And if you do want to tone/shape up, go for it, it takes time and effort, but everyone can do it

Love it too; just wish more people remembered to love their body as is, at this moment in time. I have to keep remembering this imperfect body birthed 4 children, suffered hardships, felt bad, felt good, persevered through all types of storms, helped and supported others, worked for over 49 years to stay afloat financially, loved, grieved, gave, took, and the scale or mirrors don't reflect any of that back to me.
The first and hardest(IMO) thing to do is care enough about yourself to live as healthy as you can. You, and your body deserve it.5 -

Yes. This.
I have a friend who tries to practice ‘body love’ she calls it. But it has confused her entirely. She believes that the pursuit of improvement and ‘body love’ are mutually exclusive. So now whenever she indulges in candy, she hollers “body love!” before popping it in her mouth. Attempts to exercise are, in her mind, further proof that she hasn’t yet achieved proper body love.
I don’t think the desire to reach new goals necessarily means you dislike your body as is; quite the opposite sometimes. Taking care of your body is kinda the ultimate form of loving it.

I consider exercise brain love more than body love. While I appreciate the physical results of working out, the mental impact is what keeps me motivated. I feel it most when I've pushed my body and the 2 day delay kicks in. That feeds my psyche and reminds me to tell myself that I'm a bad *kitten* in my own way.1
