Hey Everyone! We are back at it again with round 8!
Congratulations to those of you who stuck it out till the end in round 7! It is a long, but amazing journey and our daily habits can help us achieve our long term goals. We are so proud of you!
This challenge is a 100 days of weighting in daily. This is where we track our fluctuations on a day to day basis to see which foods, activities, & movement make the scale move in the right direction.
Day 1 will be on Monday, April 5th & Day 100 will be on Tuesday, July 13th.
Feel free to start whenever you want. Jump in and join even if you didn’t start on Day 1.
The rules are simple:
1. Set yourself a goal of what you want to weigh on Day 100 and work towards getting there for the next 100 days.
2. Weigh yourself daily, unless you can’t (you’re away from home or not near a scale).
3. Don’t get discouraged by fluctuations. Use this as a time to understand your body.

This is my 6th round on this thread: Round 1 loss 3.7, Round 2 loss 2.7, Round 3 loss 8.9, Round 4 loss 4.0
19.3 total loss over 4 rounds, 400 days. Round 5 loss 4.6.
23.9 pound loss over 500 days.
I always reach for a 10 pound loss each 100 even though that hasn't happened.
I keep track of calories left over at the end of each day, in the Green on the MFP tracker. My aim is 500+ average calories in the Green each day - this would lead to a 5lb loss.

Hi everyone this is my first round. My name is Grace 5’5, 101.55kg at the moment. To put things in perspective I am usually 80kg and forever trying to loose weight. So I am at my biggest now.
Goal by the end of the challenge is to be under 75kg. My strategy is calorie deficit and daily walks.

@RandJ6280 No doubt I have lost some inspiration since I originally started the journey and was losing a lot of weight. It just seems like so many obstacles these days. In the past 4 months I have retired as a person who owned two motels and cabin businesses. I have moved to another home. I have sold both businesses (still finishing up some of the business such as taxes etc). I have started major renovations on my new home. Catching up on years of yardwork as the house had been empty for awhile. Also dealing with family personal issues.
I live so far from everything that getting supplies is not easy for the renovations. And there are the medical issues that pop up, from diabetic episodes of low sugar to joint and knee pain that is horredous. With bad weather and crews here doing the renos, it has been impossible to get out and walk. I used to walk a path inside the school (no malls or plazas in my small amish town), but with Covid, that is not allowed. For the most part schools have been closed for over a year anyway. No privacy in my home for exercising. No time for prep cook as I am in high demand constantly during the renos.
All these things are not excuses. They are true. However, my only motivation at this point are the MFP challenges. Without them, I probably would have completely given up, at least for a while. You are right though. When we want it bad enough, it happens. I am really trying to figure out how to get around all of these problems as they greatly interfere with my old successful habits and plans.
In the meantime, I will never stop fighting with whatever weapons I can have available to me. I feel so much better and my health actually improves (diabetes numbers) with every 5 pounds I take off. I thank you for the encouragement. It is nice to know that someone is traveling my journey with me and cares enough to reach out. It matters..... Thanks again.

@deepwoodslady -- Hi DWL, I FULLY understand life getting in the way. I myself have yo-yoed but gaining slowly. I'm sorry you have no privacy in your home to exercise... why is this? I was working from home, thank-you Covid, for the past year, that was not healthy for me. Thankfully I am back in the office as of last Tuesday. I'm taking the stairs now (3 flights at least 2 times a day). I park further away instead of trying to find

Great Taco Tuesday Group. I did good last night with dinner. Not wanting to just throw leftovers out, I did cut down on my portion size of what I did eat... but with that, I fear I didn't get the nutrients my body needed.
Side note - I REALLY need to try and start logging my food.

100 Days of Weighing In ^^^^^ (April 5th through July 12, 2021)

STARTING WEIGHT (April 4, 2021): 207.6
Day 01 – 04/05 …..206.6….. Down a pound. The question is can I keep it off? Good luck everyone this new 100.
Day 02 – 04/06 …..205.6….. Ending in a point 6 yet again. Strange but I’ll take it since it means a whole pound lost from day before. Right now I feel committed to weaning and testing lactose intolerance and getting more movement by going up and down the stairs or in & out patio door for a minute or two at a time to walk to the back of the yard and back a couple of times, even during the Reno. Thank you better weather! We usually do get snow here in April and May as well. Flurries mainly but sometimes a very big 8” to 12” snow storm. It just doesn’t feel like that will happen this year but we shall see!

Day 2: Tues, 4/6: 207.3 Walked 3.5 +.8 + .4, garden, 2043 cal, 112 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Active day. Might have weighed less if I had not gotten up at 4:30am!
Day 3: Wed, 4/7: 207.4 Walked 2.4 + .5, 2077 cal, 100 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Fried chicken for lunch and pizza for dinner. Plenty of water! Need to clean up my meals in order to get to 206 by Saturday.

Looks like we have a great group for our 100 days of accountability!!! I'm excited to see where this round will take me
I'm retired and live in Houston TX so the weather is going to get warm (understatement) but my goal is to walk 100 miles each month during our challenge rain or shine ... guess I'll have to get out earlier if I want to beat the heat.
Some of my personal challenges ... extra calories from wine which DH & I love with dinner so I'm skipping a few nights each week and also limiting myself to 2 glasses when I do indulge. Probably better to cut alcohol out completely but not realistic for me to maintain that for life at this time since I enjoy a good glass of wine
Other challenges ... food and celebrations. There are more than usual during this round in addition to holiday cookouts. My DD's 1 year anniversary to celebrate her wedding last year is April 17, I'm hosting a champagne brunch on May 8, attending a wedding June 5, 1 year wedding anniversary for god daughter June 11, another wedding shower fiesta June 18. That is a lot of celebrating that was pent up from last year that rolled into this year! All happening during this challenge BUT I will get the scale to move in the right direction and not these events derail me.
