Wore something that was tight the last time I wore it and today it fit perfect.16

I bought three new tops as my others are getting too loose. I rolled the dice on one top as the store only had a size smaller than I thought I would need. Well... I have to return the other two tops as they are also too loose! Unexpected NSV for sure!18

I used to solidly need four notches on my watchband, and now I only need 3 -- and 3 is starting to feel a little bit loose!13

I've had a wedgie the last couple of days...bc my underwear is now too big.
So. Much. Happiness!!
(& I'll be replacing them this weekend!)23 -
I wore a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 2 yrs!21

Just bagged up the last of my XL clothes, got them ready for the charity shop.23

my weight loss has kind of plateaued. that got discouraging. it was hard to keep the course.
the good new is that it doesn't matter. I feel good. I am going forward. This weight will work itself out.
I am doing all the things and feeling good in my body, about my efforts. I just keep going. My workouts are both satisfying and challenging. My food is on point.
Nevertheless, she persisted.24 -
Happy 66th Birthday to me with 30 pounds gone since February 2021. Keep the food journal is key,but not ever has it been a chore. It's almost Hell's Front Porch in Chicago today and I easily fit into a summer buttoned blouse that I bought late last summer and couldn't get the buttons to close without huge gaps in between.21

I just realized - for the first time since I finished growing - I'm lighter and smaller than my dad. Who was always the light one in my family. Considering that I'm his DAUGHTER, and shorter than him, with the same small bones, it's messed up that I had to be nearly 42 before that happened but I'm really happy to be here.28

I stopped for gas today at a station that 90% of the time I would stop for donuts (my kryptonite) and I didn't go in and get one. Got my gas and then went on my way. Even though it was very tempting.24

I laughed at my friend getting a skirt from Costco, but then realized it was pretty comfy looking, so picked up a few and some comfy shorts in the smallest available size. Aaaand they’re both slipping off my hips.
Last week I started climbing again 3x a week in the mornings. The first day I climbed probably 15 min (of actual actively ascending the wall) and had to rest often, and for a few minutes at a time. This morning I climbed for 21 minutes and didn’t need to rest (other than moving from one wall to the next)!16 -
I bought my teenage kids takeaway pizza this evening and did not eat the crusts that are sometimes left behind. 👍😀👍20

i had an amazon fresh delivery for unhealthy food. cookies, pizza, crab cakes. It's a typical order for me. I canceled the order. NSV!24

The family went to a local bistro cookie shop and we each got a cookie - peanut butter for me. These cookies are the size of my hand and delish! My nsv was to only eat 1/4 of the cookie and save the rest for another day.18

I had a small stall this week where my weight did not move at all (except for some upward fluctuations, dang water weight!) and I did NOT beat myself up, say “this just isn’t working so I might as well XYZ”, or change anything. I just kept trucking along and finally got the scale moving again today!29

My new pants are getting loose and I need new shirts because there ridiculously big.13

I cooked the family bacon rolls for breakfast while I enjoyed my protein shake and fresh orange juice. I thought I might miss the bacon roll but it never crossed my mind.13

I had to run an errand yesterday. The bagel shop was open. I thought, "Hey - I should get a bagel. Either lox or pastrami on a Rye bagel." Then I decided it was too expensive AND a lot of calories.
I started heading home.
Then I decided to go have a bagel. Eating instead of not eating is a good idea. The rye bagels are made with whole grain flour.
I went in and there was a bag (six) of "day old" rye bagels. They sell them at a discount, of course. I really thought about taking them home, but I knew I'd likely eat too many.
I got ONE rye bagel, plain. Took it home and enjoyed the hell out of it.24 -
Today I had a pretty decent hike planned. Weather forecast said it was going to be terrible later. So I got up early and did the hike anyway.
...Then the forecast radically improved, but hey. We did the thing.
Dog climbed a (mostly fallen) tree while we were out there.

I went kayaking today for the first time ever. NSV for a couple reasons:
1) It’s something i wouldn’t have felt confident to do a year ago ( I still had a weird moment of doubting that I would fit in the boat )
2) I couldn’t get anyone to join me. Instead of getting discouraged I found a guided tour and signed up as an individual. I lucked out - I was the only participant and got a 2 hour private lesson.
3) the instructor remarked straight away that I have really good balance and at the end of the session that my technique looked very good.
4) We went further than the tour normally does (the option is there) and I wasn’t tired at all, it was just a pleasant afternoon outing.31 -
I went on a week-long camping trip and forgot to bring both my food scale and body scale. I normally gain weight on vacation and have often dropped-out upon returning. This time I came back a little over two pounds lighter and am back to logging. I credit my success with daily hiking, evening walks around the campground, abstaining from alcohol, IF, moderated portion sizes, and allowing some treats, including a delicious mushroom/cheese omelet and home fries at a diner one morning. It feels good knowing that I can still be successful away from home and without my usual tools.23

This has been on my bucket list to do for a very long time. I once saw a person, when I was on vacationing near the Gulf of Mexico, who was too large for the kayak and sat overflowing on the top of the hole. I think this turned me against ever trying this. I didn't want anyone laughing at me. I have learned to love myself, because I am the one responsible in how I look and feel. You have sparked my interest to try this again. There is a kayak group in the next town over. Will schedule this next week. Down 110 lbs. now, so think I can handle this.21 -
I set of for a Sunday long run (long for me), and did 8 miles. I never slept well last night so it was a real achievement.19

The tightest hole on my (medium) belt is too loose. I'm going to buy a smaller size (small) when the stores reopen. And the next size down in jeans.13

Thank you. That makes me SUPER happy to hear from an objective person.
This is actually directly tied to my 'lightbulb moment' with fitness and weight loss. My dogs? Healthy weight. Fit. Conditioned. Participating in sports. Me? Also participating in sports but eating doritos for dinner and obese.
I just... kind of decided to give myself something closer to the same standard of care.20 -
Went out with friends last night.
Ate sensibly and wisely beforehand, and avoided food triggers.
Drank water and didn't worry about anything else and enjoyed the buzz of human contact after all this time. It was REALLY nice.
Came home on time and got up today and feel great.
I'll do it again next weekend!17 -
Recently I've attended several events and seeing candid photos of myself I've thought "DAMN, your posture is good".
Sounds silly but means a lot to me.25 -
I was a 30/32 in women clothes. I'm still not sure what size I wear I bought a 22/24 and it actually fit. Was shocked.24

I went camping this weekend, and found myself tromping about, uphill and own, with a grin. It was so much fun!20
