I used to only have one pair of jeans to wear cause I was too embarrassed to buy new jeans when I was Asian obese/ overweight. I found out today that I fit into a size 32 again! Yeah, I have new jeans without buying new ones.20

I've got a couple this week:
1. Scale hasn't moved (I'm even a bit up from over the weekend) but I desperately need to punch a new hole in my belt. Is this.... recomping??
2. I have THICK thighs. I went to shave my legs yesterday, put one on the side of the tub and went around to shave the hamstring and THERE WAS A WEIRD DIP. I've gone to a couple of spin classes and deadlifted a couple of times this month and there's a muscle forming under the fat and it's like pulling the fat up in the middle. I don't even know how to describe it but IT'S THERE! I even jumped out of the shower to show my SO and he was floored.
3. Bought spin shoes. Never in a million years did I think that I could stay through a whole spin class, let alone like it enough to keep going back!!31 -
I've moved from 42-44 inch waist pants comfortably into a 38 inch waist (I even wore a pair of 36's that had some extra give in the waist). I also had to swap out the belt I've been using for a smaller one since I had punched so many holes in it.21

Went to Red Lobster with my mom and grandmom for lunch on Saturday and we were seated in a booth! I looked down at the seemingly small gap between the table and seat and thought “this is gonna be tight”, but NOPE slid right in with plenty of room to spare!30

I love this!! I started 7 months ago in about the same spot, and aspire to be where you are in 5 more months—guess I’m gonna need to try some kale!!!11 -
I just threw away a cupcake that a 1st-grader gave me. She brought them in for her birthday and left it on my desk for me while I was out doing lunch duty for the bigger kids. I hated to waste it--would have probably told her no if she had asked me (at least that's what I'm telling myself!)--and I ALMOST ate it for that very reason, but I've just finished lunch and do NOT need the extra calories. It actually felt pretty good to toss it!22

What is NSV..

1: Just tried on a pair of US size 14 jeans.. and they fit! I haven't been a 14 since gr. 8 (10 years ago). I didn't buy them since they're $120, but it's nice to know that what I'm doing is working
2: I've always had massive calves; my wide calf boots that I could barely zip up a few months ago now slide off while I'm walking!
3: I went out drinking with a few friends this weekend (big holiday weekend in my home territory of the Yukon) and I got hit on! By at least 3 guys! I've always been the "fat friend" so this is a completely new experience for me. Maybe it's just the added confidence of knowing I look good29 -
I tried the fitness sampler at my gym as part of a new program kickoff - 15 minutes of 10 different classes. The trainers who'd just taught or who were waiting their turn were teasing me: "this must not be hard enough - you're still smiling!"
Ha, nope. It's not that this is easy - I'm just thrilled! I kept asking my body to do things, and it kept doing them! And in fact several of the classes were too easy with the general equipment they brought out - I could have used heavier weights and stronger bands for some of it.
I forget how far I've come sometimes, and that 2.5 hours of assorted classes was a really fun reminder.25 -
I went out to dinner with my friend tonight because his business is sending him on a trip to China but his visa gives him some extra days in the country and he wanted advice on which city/cities to hit in that time. I'd been there in 2004 so gave him the best advice I was able plus let him scroll through my pictures from my trip. So in Feb 2004 I was 29 and now in Feb 2018 I'm 43—and my friend is gay so I don't suspect any ulterior motives—but according to his assessment after going through the pics I'm better looking now than I was at 29. I was probably just 5–10 pound heavier then at most. Coincidentally I'm the round-faced type, so with my cheekbones becoming more defined with age, not just with weight loss, I'm quite happy to think of myself as better looking at 43 than at 29. I'd say it's an NSV that by the time I figured out myself at the personality level I hadn't lost 100% of the looks department as a trade-off18

I'm wearing a pair of size 6 pants that have NEVER fit me before--bought them on a whim when a store was going out of business--and one of my pt's said "Hey you lost weight"10

Two things.
1: My wife told me I needed to buy smaller jeans when she was checking out my sweet *kitten* when we were walking the dog the other day.
2: I put a pair of work pants on that I found in the back of the closet that I haven't worn for the last year that I've been stuck in this rut. They fit great! Wore them to work and felt extremely confident in them. A win for me.25 -
Was told my facial features are getting more visible.13
