The ability to push mow and weedeat without tiring in the heat.18

Not 100% sure this is a true weight loss NSV, but I can’t think of any other ‘physiological change’ that could have caused it so I’m claiming it!
Went to the optician yesterday for the first time since Covid hit. I normally go every 3 months for a contact lens check. In that time I’ve probably lost just over 2 stone and am maintaining in goal weight territory. My prescription has improved quite a bit!
It’s my 60th birthday today so normally I’d expect deterioration rather than improvement! I asked why it can happen and the optician just said ‘physiology changes all the time so whilst it’s unusual it does happen’ - so I’m taking it as a hidden improvement due to losing weight! 😂21 -

I have noticed that I am constantly pushing my eye glasses up on my face more. I guess with the loss of 110 lbs. my face has gotten smaller. Need to take them back to optometrist office to see if they can tighten them to stay up on my face.19

Happy birthday and great NSV!!

Today was my first review with the Dr after my T2 diagnosis. My fasting glucose was 4.2, and A1c was 5.4. Super proud at those results, as they were achieved by hard work and tracking.21

Yesterday as I was out shopping, all I wanted was to stop at a fast food joint and get the hugest cheeseburger I could and a shake...BUT I told myself that I would love myself much more tomorrow for going home and preparing a super good-for-me dinner and that is what I did. Later for a snack, I made a copycat Frosty with 1% milk and sugar free vanilla pudding. Totally satisfied that craving!
In case you are wondering - 1 cup 1% milk (or skim), 1 tsp of vanilla, 8 ice cubes, 2 T Lite Cool Whip, 2 Tbsp of sugar free instant vanilla pudding. Blend, let sit for 5 mins in the freezer. This is around 140 calories - compared to a medium Frosty at Wendy's = 400.

This sounds really good, I'm going to have to try it.
And WTG for not caving on the cheeseburger, our bodies do thank us later.

I surpassed the halfway mark this weekend. Now on the downside of my weight loss journey and I not only feel better but already look better.22

I posed for a photo and was like darn my arm is so big but then saw some mussel definition. I still have a ways to go but starting to see some results. (Down 14 lbs)12

I'm currently on a 4 hour road trip. 2 hours in, we just stopped at Bu-cee's gas station which has lots of unique snacky food. Got back on the bus with nothing. Yay me!!30

Well, that was just glorious and now I am floating on cloud 9.
Today I saw a bunch of people from my old job who I haven't seen in 3 years and they were flabbergasted at my transformation! "You look GREAT!" is a phrase that sticks out clearly in my mind. Man, this feels really good. :-)
Wahoo!!26 -
Got through a full circuit ab workout. First time in over five years.
Lower back hurt like hell..... but I just gritted my teeth, and got thru it.24 -
I use a subscription service for my workout videos, and my Apple TV box seems to have stopped working.
Instead of skipping it, I managed to use Chromecast to play it from my phone and got it done.25 -
I didn't have dessert because I didn't want any.30

I finished processing cherries. I think this is the fifth batch I'm running through the dehydrator. Lots of pitting. Lots of pitting. And lots of time up and down a ladder to pick. Each batch uses about four gallons of cherries, so that's like... oh I don't believe it but yeah. Twenty gallons. From one tree.
Wow.25 -
Resetting my pouch!7

My husband and I went on a long weekend getaway this weekend and I purposely planned for an active trip with hiking and water sports each day. It was fun to get some active workouts in and I got to challenge myself and see new places.24

My seven year old looked perplexed after playfully slapping my tummy. Then said, "it doesn't jiggle anymore"!37

First and foremost...I was able to wrap the string around and tied the tie in the front of my work gown. I have NEVER been able to do that. Second of all, I just fit in a pair of size 20 jeans for the first time since high school. I am now 41 years old. Also, I tried on a size xl swimsuit, well I squeezed into it, but I FIT in it and it would look decent.33

I have consistently stuck to walking and a calorie deficit for 5 months! I have ADHD and sticking to things this long can be really hard because once something interrupts my routine or I get overwhelmed, I usually give up completely.30

Bought a size medium skirt online today and it fit! Stretchy waistband but still, I've never been able to wear a medium women's anything before.32

I planned my exercise today to include gardening - prune the overgrown lilac bush. I almost let it slide - but then at 5pm reminded myself this is one of the longest (and nicest) days of the year. I got it done - and got 5 bundles of branches out for pickup tomorrow. And it reinforced that if I log the exercise I plan to do, there's more motivation to do it.16

I haven't lost a single pound or inch, yet one of my coworkers told me I looked thinner today.26

I tried on a pair of "before" capris today. Only difference is I was able to fit both my skinnier legs into ONE LEG of the pants. Funny photo op.28

I have to send back size 12 and large clothes since they are too big, not too small!!22
-
I ordered a ton of clothes online, hoping to find an outfit for an upcoming garden party and also to expand my wardrobe a bit, since I barely have any clothes left that are the right size.
The NSV part? I'm actually excited about receiving them and trying them on! Not just trying to find something that fits and camouflages the flab, but actually looks good and shows off all my hard work 😁23 -
Unfortunately (fortunately?) the pants I just bought 2 weeks ago are already too big!24
-
Tried on all of my old swimsuits this week to prepare for a weekend of swimming and found that every single one was way too big! Had to make a Target run and was able to shop for swimwear in straight sizes. My wife was in the same boat so now we both have new swimwear! Time for a pool party!25
