Tried on all of my old swimsuits this week to prepare for a weekend of swimming and found that every single one was way too big! Had to make a Target run and was able to shop for swimwear in straight sizes. My wife was in the same boat so now we both have new swimwear! Time for a pool party!25

This morning I did a 25.5 mile bike ride! I started in January and used to do 20mins at a time, now I'm hitting 2 hours 🎉36

My max walking distance at the beginning of the month is now my "rest day"/short walk.37
-
My resting heart rate has reduced from 71 to 65 BPM25

I’ve been good about logging my meals, activities and water for a couple of weeks now.☺️
I’m back on this mfp horse!🙌🏽🤠🐎31 -
I've gone back to taking the stairs at work. After about a week, it's noticeably less difficult.22

Great job!!! I'm at the same point as you! Recently started hitting those longer distances on my bike and I can't believe how far I can go and how good it makes me feel!9 -
Ran twice this week...I so rarely run, it’s an event. But 3 mile on Monday, then a combined 3.75 from two walks/runs today, and felt pretty respectable with my average 8:38 pace. Even made it to leg day both days.21

Today marked 6 full weeks back to the gym with just one rest day a week Every weight machine has increased from 30% to over 100%! Feeling soo much stronger already especially in my core! (smallest gains are on my arms..I have to be a little careful as I'm without lymph nodes on one side and have some missing on the other)19

I painted my own toenails because 1) I could reach them easily and comfortably and 2) I'm seeing them a lot more since I'm out in bare feet/sandals. Doing a bunch of water fitness classes has gotten me a lot more comfortable seeing my legs and feet again, and being 30# lighter makes it a whole lot easier!27

I’ve been averaging 20k plus steps per day for the last two weeks!🙌🏽 🎶💃🏽🎵

My L sized T-shirts fit again!28

In March I sprained my ankle (missed the last step of our stairs) and could not run for weeks.
Recently I have been building up to 5K again. Today I ran at my first 5K at my standard training speed. So happy to be back where I was 3.5 months ago!29 -
So far my biggest NSV was realizing that I have been consistent with this new lifestyle for almost two weeks! Not every day has been perfect, but they have been sustainable, and that to me is so much more important than perfection. I have to be able to continue to live this life.29

This morning I hit a new personal best 5K. 34.56, broke under 35 minutes!!!23

My old and cheap sportsbra held everything in place without falling out the bottom as has been happening when I wear that bra16

My latest NSV is that, not only do I workout everyday but I actually enjoy it! I don't do a ton, I do a pahla b workout everyday on youtube. But, I enjoy her as a trainer and I've learned that when I do it, I feel So. Much. Better! A week ago, I was involved with a stressful thing online that required lots of attention and focus for hours. I didn't get much sleep and was really dragging. I decided the best thing for me would be to WORK OUT. And, it worked! I've never felt this good before about working out and it's a real life changer. Feeling good and happy!21

I decided to raise my daily step goal an extra 5000 steps because looking back I had exceeded my step goal for 16 consecutive days without even realizing it. This is now the highest daily step goal I have EVER set and it makes me feel strong.21

seeing my first progress photo16

Just got lab results back. Among other tests, we checked A1c levels. They are 5.6, a very significant drop from my previous best of 6.3. Today is day 122 of no sodas and watching added sugars. Total sugar daily goal is 50g. Not always perfect, but this is progress I can do and see! Yay!23

Put on a size medium dress today and actually thought I looked okay in it... also can still deadlift 130 for 2 sets of 4 reps even though I've lost some weight and haven't been keeping up with it like I should have. That weight is only 20 pounds lighter than I am. So while I'm not at all great at weight lifting, that puts me in novice range not just beginner.24

I've gone back to taking the stairs at work. After about a week, it's noticeably less difficult.
This morning, I climbed the stairs while my mind was occupied with other things. Only after I got to the top did I realize I'd just climbed three flights of stairs without even noticing it.26 -
I got to move to a size down on the belt!24

I just realized that I don't really... think about food anymore.
yes, when I need to buy food or plan a meal but I'm not preoccupied with it the way I used to be. I never even realized how preoccupied until it was suddenly just not there.

I ran on a treadmill for the first time in years tonight. I had been using a stationary bike to help build my leg strength but I thought my weak legs were preventing me from getting my heart rate where I wanted it. While running on the treadmill tonight I still couldn't get my heart rate beyond the mid-point of my target vigorous zone. Turns out that I'm in better cardiovascular shape than I thought. I knew my resting heart rate had changed significantly but this was a nice surprise.20

Went kayaking yesterday and got handed a size S/M life jacket.28

I made my favorite oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies today and planned to eat one along with some grapes for desert tonight. I knew it would set me a bit over my calories, but I wasn't too worried since I went for a run today and was active. So, I get my bowl of grapes, weigh out my cookie and sit down, completely guilt-free. Then, part of the way through my grapes (I was saving the cookie for last) I realized that I was perfectly happy just eating the grapes. So I put the cookie back in the bag.
It was a very strange moment because, as I walked back to the couch, I realized that I've never put a cookie back before. But now, full of grapes and pleasantly tired from my day, I just don't want the cookie. Tomorrow I'll probably have one and enjoy the *kitten* out of it, but today I'm happy and full and ready to read a good book with a cup of hot tea.
I know it shouldn't be such a big deal, but it kind of blew me away, tbh.35 -

It's those little moments that get me and point out how much I've really changed my mindset about food. it is no longer an adversarial relationship, rather a "get along" one. Happy for you!13
