I think it was because a lot of people were getting random creepy messages. Its also why people can't see messages in their friend request anymore, that feature was disabled.
I'd bring that feature back.. I miss seeing a message in my fr requests ( not that everyone adds one)1 -

Actually thats a good idea appointing Reenie as head of anti-spam task force but I say we go further and appoint her Forum Queen to rule as she sees fit 😃 that would be fun. 🥳4 -
Start monitoring the site again and getting rid of all the non-MFP/weight fitness messages. It's getting ridiculous. Return it back to the great weight loss community it used to be. Not a social media for all these random, creepy, non weight loss messages. You have to really look too even find messages related to losing weight and fittness anymore. Come on guys (MFP), your better than this.0

YES! Although it should be place of choice cause I'd prefer amazon gift cards. I always waited for the award to hit me when they announce I'd achieved one. But then nothing. Anti-climactic.2 -

I didn't disagree but would if I was a disagreer by nature but not being one to stir up a hornet's nest(often anyways)I just wanted to point out ALL the other parts of MFP that do exist relating to diet/health/exercise/fitness/blahblahblah. In fact, that's where I started when I found MFP, didn't dare venture over here, leaving over there where all the normal people are but found my cave over here where it's fun, relaxing, crazy, in time. I still visit there but live here.
To each their own; we all draw from MFP what we need.
And besides(guess I'm not done yet) isn't mental health parallel to physical health?8 -

Most phones come with a built-in health app. May I suggest you start using that if this app is not working out for you!? Or just not go into the Chit Chat part of this community and just stick to the fitness topic forums.6 -

Its just censorship. It is becoming normal and accepted everywhere. Why would it be any different here?2 -
Nope--you're wrong. The disagree feature is fairly new. I've been here 8 years and people didn't hold back. There were pages of arguing and escalation and rage quits. Things are tame now. People have no qualms about ripping you apart in public. There are more stones out there than you think.4
