NSV: I showed this progress pic to a coworker and she said I looked skinnier in person! I felt really skinny in my august pic so her saying that made me feel great!26 -
My blood pressure had been slowly creeping up. Not enough to need medicine but higher than normal. Now it is normal. I am sure it is because of weight loss21

Ten weeks ago, I walked 10 minutes. Afterwards, I was huffing and puffing and felt ready to collapse. This afternoon, I walked for one hour for the first time. Breathing was normal when I finished and my legs still felt great. I'm getting fitter.48

The hikes and climbing were with my family, which I absolutely love—I never would have gotten to see these waterfalls and swimming holes as a child, bc my parents wouldn’t have been able to hike that far/that strenuous of terrain.
I started running one of the hiking trails and went from getting lost and not finishing, to a 16:33 min/mile over 4.6 miles to 15:22 min/mile (including all the walking up/down slippery parts, stopping at overlooks, and taking pictures). I absolutely love trail running—makes me feel like a kid. I’ll have to search out some trail at home in the flatlands now! I’m also seriously considering helping coach my son’s cross country team, which I never would have thought I could do.
Usually vacation means all the food and alcohol, but this time I felt fine I indulging when we ate out but being more moderate the rest of the time (instead of indulging at every meal because…vacation!). I actually lost a little over a pound, which is not usually my post vacation situation!gradchica27 wrote: »Week 2 of vacation—9 runs, walks, & hikes in 7 days, 3 strength training sessions, and two climbing sessions. That's an incredible improvement! Such a short time frame too7 -
I fit into a size 12 Black BCBG dress that's been hanging in my closet for years. I can also put on and zip up my birthday jacket in a size large and zip it up, I can button all 3 buttons on a winter coat I've had for years and never been able to button up. Happy dance.
The last time I wore a dress I was a size 18 still had 3 hanging in my closet, now I have to figure what to do with them.22 -
Went for a walk, 100 degrees by the humidex, was planning for the 4km 'flat' walk and the feet decided to take the hill walk instead!!16

Between asthma and being overweight, stairs are my natural enemy. There is a bridge nearby that stands approximately 150 feet above the river below. There is a stunning stairway/path down to the river and Lake Michigan. Super easy to get down, 270+ steps back up. I've wanted to tackle it for the last few years and finally made it to whole way without an attack! In fact, I had energy to spare when I made it back to the car. It was the most perfect victory. Enjoy these views!

Y'all.
My boobs have shrunk sufficiently that not only can I find my size in every department store ever - I AM WEARING A CAMI with a SHELF BRA and it is sufficiently supportive.

Lost 200+ lbs, got all new clothing, then a lockdown happened. By March of this year, I was back at 300 lbs. I had to fix a bad habit of not eating healthy just because I wasn't going to the gym (NSV 1) and now I'm close enough to where I was that I can fit into my newer clothing again (NSV 2).27

Noticing how much my legs are changing this morning. I have lost about 35lbs so far. That's about 11% total, but 4% in last month.20

Today at the lap pool I was FINALLY able to hop out of the pool without using the ladder or the steps. Made me SO happy that I did it TWICE just to make sure it wasn't a fluke!! Once before my laps, and once after---and I did it on my first try BOTH times!!! Happy Dance!!!
See, when I was a kid, we had a pool, and I used to hop in and out of that thing like a little jumping bean. So, it has bugged me no end that I couldn't do it anymore. Made me feel old and weak no matter how many laps I swam. But now I CAN do it!!!! Which means my second childhood is now official.31 -

I accidently brought a medium work shirt instead of a large. I was able to wear it through my shift (though it was a little tight). A year ago I was a XXXL.
It was a great NSV and sets up goal (to make it not tight)30
