                    Hi I have a lot to lose and just starting out. I love rowing and want to motivate myself to keep going this time and succeed.  I row about 3 to 4 times a week at the moment, however I want to push myself therefore:
I am going to start a personal challenge to row daily for at least 15 mins per day for every day in August. Would love to have some of you join me. I need to be accountable and start a new me that will do this for years to come.

            My rowing is very sporadic at the moment, but only 15 minutes a day is very reasonable. I can't promise it will be daily for me (I already missed August 1st since I only saw the challenge the day after ) but certainly more frequently than now. ) but certainly more frequently than now.

            I missed yesterday but got it in today.

            so I am working at 2000 m and reducing my time, 1st august i rowed in 13 mins, 3rd i did it in 12 mins. could only get to the gym every other day as also training for a bike event in September also! good to see others on this journey with me ..lets do this1

 Thank you, Margaret! If it were Winter, I'd be all over this. Since it's summer, I rarely touch the machine, rather rowing around 7k on water 4 days a week, when weather allows; and I'm not sure how I'd count those here anyway because they're multi-person boats.
 Other folks here: In case you don't already know about it, and if you got in 10K during August 1-7, are rowing on a Concept 2 machine, and might entertain an increasing challenge, I'll point out that the Concept 2 Dog Days of Summer Challenge is also happening now. More info here:

 In brief, it's:
 Week 1, Aug. 1–7: 10,000 meters
 Week 2, Aug. 8–14: 20,000 meters
 Week 3, Aug. 15–21: 30,000 meters

 It's about the only challenge they do all year where both machine and on-water meters count. I've done it some in the past. At my usual schedule, week 1 and 2 can happen via usual on-water meters . . . then it gets challenging 😉.

            Thanks 🙂 Today's session was quite tough, but that's undoubtedly my own fault for choosing to go hard after already having done a tough 1 hour run. Note to self: don't burn the candle at both ends, recovery matters too 🙄1
