wow...the change in appearances is uncanny! First impressions is surely a 'thing'!
Yeah it's a little sad. I know when I lost weight people treated me differently, and I was a little angry since I was the same person inside.
But looking at these pictures, I do have a different reaction to the same person before/after.
I realize that before you get to know a person, their appearance is all your brain has to go on when processing interactions with people. But this still happens with people you've known a long time. I think this explains why some people's family try to sabotage weight loss. Interactions change. (do they have to?)
I wonder how much of this is nature/nurture.

While I'm still quite a ways from my ultimate goal, and I've only just started tracking on MFP again since July, I couldn't believe the difference when I compared these two photos!
Christmas 2020 - I don't know how much I weighed then
to this past Saturday (August 28th, 2021) - 205 pounds
I've been feeling pretty discouraged the past few weeks, but this really inspired me not to give up, because I AM making progress, even if it's slow!26 -

MFP of course. 😁 It took me a year and a half with little breaks here and there. I just started with weights and hoping to tone up some of my lose skin.., hoping it will work.
For side by side: I brought up pictures on my phone.. Did screen shots then went to my screen shot folder and the two that I wanted were at the top... I took another screen shot and cropped the two side by side. Whala! Before and after!5 -

The first picture was at my graduation in 2019. The second was at a graduation for my students last weekend. Down 112 pounds (and a lot of cheek) from my ATH. Loving that I no longer have to look up to hide my chins.
