    JFT Thursday 19th Aug

    Log everything yes
Stay in the green 178 over
    Back exercises some
Walk no, ran out of time
    Garden no

Yesterday was a very pleasant day, nice to have visitors and it was just warm enough to sit outside. With the visitors, then family later on, I just didn't get time to do very much at all. So today I need to catch up with things.
I'm sore and tired this morning. I got up early and went straight out to the supermarket for the weekly shop. The area I live in currently has the worst Covid rates in the country, so I'm going back to early shopping whilst it's quiet. Like everyone else I'm sure, I'm so tired of Covid now.

JFT I will stay under maintenance, do back and foot exercises, do paperwork, and prep for tomorrow.

@Janele0627 Congrats on doing a workout, even though you dreaded it and complained the whole time. That describes 99% of us!

@MLHC1 V nice that you got to talk to hubby so long. Helps make the day a win no matter what else happened.

    Recap R 8/19 ~ impromptu rest day
    1) Move hourly / stairs breaks / charge Fitbit  12/14 & 9.5K
    2) Pre-ordered box dinner & prelogged / maybe skip some of prelogged food? / 12c water  Didn't eat the chips, and only ate dessert bar when I got home, for something sweet to end my day... I'm satisfied. -400 & 11c
    3) Complete office summarization  / email backlog  not worse
    4) Email P back / feed kitty & let dog out / check-in 5:30 & pick up box dinner / 6:00 GBBG concert = 4/4
    5) Unplug 9:00 / floss / retainers / Voltaren / Calm app before bed / 5:40 alarm (walk dog or x-train before work) = 4/6

    JFT F 8/20 ~ last workday until 8/30 = woohoo!
    1) Walked dog 4.08 mi before work, warm & humid (ick), lots of bunnies & mosquitos  happy dog & happy me
    2) Move hourly / stairs breaks (Fitbit working for now)
    3) Prelog / net cals zero / 14c water
    4) Ensure GA-C/V folder complete & submit for review / update Project Status s/s & Review tab / submit PAR, PRO & KRO s/s (need KRO for next week too) / Facebook Live 12:00 / OOO message / email backlog / bug out early?
    5) Hang up clean shirts on chair / clean toilets / wash dishes / check DVR / other ta-da's?
    6) Unplug 10:00 / FLOSS / RETAINERS / Voltaren / Calm app before bed / ? alarm (skipping farmers market since we'll be out of town)

Last outdoor concert at Botanical Garden was one of the best. Since the line to get in was longer than usual, even with check-in times, I got in during announcements. Had to pick up my box dinner & I didn't find my friends right away... they moved locations on me. That's ok, I ate my supper, drank my beer and enjoyed Copper Box band. Moved my camp chair at intermission & had a great second half.

    2021 Goals:
    1) Weight 150#
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    3) Post weekly weigh-in on JFT for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I peek occasionally other days. My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    4) Take measurements & log on MFP every month end ~ remember this year! ~ 1.31.21 ~ 2.28.21 ~ 4.3.21 ~ 4.30.21 not pretty ~ skipped 5.31.21 & 6.30.21 ~ 7.31.21 accountable
    5) Exercise 5-6x per week (minimum 4x) ~ mostly walking but include weights/circuit & other x-training
    6) Participate in race or challenge events even if virtual ~ started MapMyWalk You Vs. Year 1021K on Jan. 1 / virtual 50 Mile Frenzy 11.27.20 - 1.15.21 (replaced Frenzy on the Fox for Jan. 2021) 50.37 miles 12.17.20 and completed 97.44 miles total / Tour de Northeast WI virtual challenge: cover distance from Oshkosh to Gills Rock (139 miles) 1.1.21 - 3.31.21 ~ completed distance on 3.21.21 / 30/45 Build to Bellin virtual challenge 30 min. activity for total of 1,350 min. in 45 days 3.1.21 - 4.15.21 = 146 out of 339 in 34:00:42 / Hope 2021 Face Mask virtual 5K (benefits No Kid Hungry) anytime 5.11.21 in 58:04 / 100 Miles in May virtual challenge ~ 134.68 miles would've been more if I hadn't sluffed off on dog walks one week / Bellin (virtual) 10K on 6.19.21 after thunderstorm in 1:45:49 ave. pace 17:02 per mile / Titletown Wellness Shoreline Challenge: virtual distance from Gills Rock to Pleasant Prairie (232 miles) as many times as possible 6.12.21 - 11.26.21 / Packers 5K IN PERSON 7.24.21 48:36 ave. pace 15:39
    7) Be considerate and loving to hubby and have fun together ~ excellent goal last year that should be repeated
    8) Make efforts to keep in touch with parents, siblings and friends (most live in other towns or states) ~ had this goal in 2020 and how ironic
    9) Declutter bedroom, home office and basement ~ made good progress in 2020 & want to keep it up
Word for 2021: Gratitude ~ be mindful of & appreciate my many blessings

Have a stellar day all you lovely people!

Drank a bit too much vodka last night. I'm usually a beer girl, but they had a vodka and lemonade mixture that was on special, then a won a lemon drop shot that took me over my 3 drink limit. It was like a triple shot it was huge. I sipped it instead of shooting it... All in all we had a good time. Didn't win at trivia, but the people who did win lied about their points so it isn't really like we lost either.

Last real say of the audit, other than a follow-up next Tuesday because folks were out on vacation. I'm exhausted. Subs for lunch again today, so at least I ate lunch. Yay me. Now to log it.

No plans this evening, but I have a hair appointment tomorrow. This gray has got to go!

@littleblackskirt - when I was walking I really enjoyed my evening walks. As a matter of fact I’m going to try a small one tomorrow evening and see how I do.

@cschmitz110515 - I remember it wasn’t that long ago you purchased your new Fitbit. Have you heard of the Leaf? I bought one for my daughter and she quite likes it.

@HEGoddard0928 - you sound like you’re on a roll, keep it up!

@clicketykeys - I can’t imagine how schools are going to fare this year.

    @Janele0627 - I agree you described 99% of us.

@MLHC1 - I’m so happy you had a chance to talk with hubby. I remember when I was able to get those special long ones when mine was a long haul trucker.

@pridesabtch - glad you audit went well.

My week got away from me but it was a really good one.

On Wednesday I saw the special physiotherapist that specializes in manual manipulation. I felt better walking out than I have in a long time. Today again I don’t feel as well though. I hope the pain eases soon.

After my appointment I picked my Grandson up and brought him home with me for a couple of nights. We went to a movie and looked at Party City for some decorations for our birthday party. We then watched a couple episodes of Lego Masters. I worked yesterday and today so he hung out with Grampie until he took him home today.

Tonight it is just hubby and I which is nice. Tomorrow I am picking Michaela up to go visit our daughter for a bit. Her Mother in Law is visiting so we’ll have a visit. She is a lovely lady I really enjoy her and she treats my daughter extremely well. What else can a Mama ask for?

    JFT - Saturday August 21
    1.5L of water
    Log all food
    Walk 15 mins
    Do arm something

@pridesabtch I hope you feel better soon! Have you been able to check your blood pressure? Our hairstylist at work had a similar issue, and her blood pressure was all out of whack. Ended up in the hospital. Turns out it was crystals forming in her inner ear!

Well yesterday was a bust for teaching my goals but was a great day for my soul.
Michaela and I went and spent the day and most of the evening visiting Kailyn, Brodey and his mom who is visiting. It does my heart good to be with family.

Today I am going to work on a wedding gift for Kaitlyn’s friend that has been part of our lives for close to 20 years. I also have to drive Michaela home at some point. I’ll probably do that before supper.

I should also do some tidying I guess.

    Scale goals
    End of 2017: 174.6
    End of 2018: 189.2
    End of 2019: 196.4
    End of 2020: 187.4
    End of January: 189.8
    End of February: 190.0
    End of March: 190.4
    End of April: 188.7
    End of May: 191.2
    End of June: 191.4
    End of July: 190.2
    Today: 193.4

    Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut
    1. Purchases: Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" and a long-haired doll at thrift stores. Practice French braiding. Go to used bookstore and look for The Prince (tr. Tim Parks, Russell Price, or Robert Adams), The Secret Adversary (Christie), Hood Feminism (Mikki Kendall), Caste (Isabel Wilkerson).
    2. E2: What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Need practice with the difference between transitions and overlapping (at end of paragraph - "another issue is Y" vs "there are other issues besides X"). Quit using "in conclusion" and "I believe" and other writing-about-my-writing phrases. Confusion between direct/indirect objects and prepositional phrases. Use the UDHR and the Declaration of Independence to study paraphrasing; use that to front-load Machiavelli and how to deal with challenging texts. Confusion between everyday / every day and similar constructions.
    3. E1: Need practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Difficulty using possessive nouns in their own writing. Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me). Poetry: Revise "Songs are Poetry" handouts.
    4. Curriculum Development: Writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. (I think I can have this as an intro to the research unit so that they also get exposure to how quotes are integrated and cited.) Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell. How long should each unit take? Do research on characteristics: curiosity, persistence, resilience, creativity, responsibility, optimism, courage, integrity, authenticity, leadership, self-awareness, humility, compassion - others? Include grammarly check on essays! Review assessments. What is the purpose for each unit? What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Write 1 reflection weekly; type one in Classroom by Weds. Copy-paste to discussion board for comments due Friday. Homework: Online journal Mon due Tue; Reflection Tue due Wed; C&P journal in class Wed; Comments Thu due Fri. Bonus if you are the first response; further bonus if you respond to comments on your post. Grammar practice Mon & Wed; quiz Fri. Unit plan for research (Idea for regular: comparing same story on sites with different biases).
    5. Professional Development: Write blog post weekly. Comment on 3 posts each week - Tu Th Sun? Check with PSC. Talk with Z about articles and/or conference proposals.
    6. Medical: Dentist call to schedule cleaning – Late Oct? ObG schedule for 9/22. PCP Aug 17. Therapy July 27.
    7. Theater: Read play for discussion August 3.
    8. House: Siding. Or perhaps bathroom floor.
    9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Buy bike rack for car.
    10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter. Community Kitchen. Emerge Georgia training.
    11. Family: Book group. Dinners?
    12. Writing: Blog post: Running, Racism and Rum: Learning to Handle Discomfort. Fanfic: Create a scene list for the Batgirl story. Finish the cafe scene for the Titans story.
    13. Lifting: 15 squats, 15 deadlifts, 10 shoulder presses, 15 arm raises, 10 pushups, 30 crunches, 15 side lifts, 15 back kicks. Horse stance for 5 breaths, tree for 10 breaths each leg.
    14. Summer: Organize photos with the family. Write Clois. Write Stuffy and Friends. Create blog posts for video lessons.
    15. Other: Practice hair braiding with D. Remind D to ask his dad about the table and check with home repair contractors. 3 posts/week? Create test for MLA format. Create test for infographics and visual information. Remember that M does not like surprises! Check dates of classes and update semester plan. She Should Run vision statement. Update standards on board. When to change bulletin board?

    WFTY: Persistence. Hoo boy.
Reminder: Last year's WFTY was progress, and I am ... actually, I was going to say content, but it's more than that. I'm proud of myself, and I'm pleased with the progress that I made. Even without the challenges throughout the year, I accomplished things that I should be proud of; and given those challenges, I'm even happier about what I was able to do.

Good morning my dears! Sorry I've been absent the last three days. I was working midshifts(11am-7pm) which threw my routine all out of whack. But those are over now and I really hope I never have to do those again! I have today and tomorrow off and then I'm back to my normal 5-1's.

I set goals for the first two days and barely met any of them and yesterday I didn't even bother. I thought about it before I went on break yesterday but then it ended up being two of us in the breakroom at once and I just felt kind of weird about it. Is that strange? I'm usually on break by myself.

So I was talking to Matt yesterday about my medication bc I've been in a not great place since I started taking the ADHD med and switching the times that I took them. I've been getting overwhelmed a lot more easily and not sleeping as well. So I sent my doctor a message early last night and he thinks my dose might be too high. So he sent a smaller dose. I'll pick that up today and see how it works.

Also, we've been out of cable/Wifi for two days. The jerryrigged wire got pulled from the pole by a truck. The problem is that it's raining out because we're getting the tail end of a tropical storm. So Matt and I think they're going to cancel. They were supposed to come 2 years ago and run a new wire but they never did. They no showed on two appts I set. So if this doesn't get fixed today or tomorrow heads are going to roll and they're going to have major *kitten* problem. Because we are more then fed up with this *kitten*!

    Anyway, onto some goals!

    JFT, 8/23/21

    - up by 9 I'm not going to give this a smiley face yet bc it's 7:20 but I'm going to go lay back down
    - coffee/JFT✅
    - Comcast 10-12
    - possible grocery order(depends on weather and Comcast)
    - spend 15 min in office
    - pick up med
    - dishes
    - deal with laundry!
    - Call C re: letter for Matt/stimulant collab with psych
    - call neurologist re: earlier appt
    - meds/teeth
    - figure out dinner
    - shower
    - bed by 12am(probably going to be waaaaay earlier)

It was a weird weekend of dizziness and sleeping, but things started to get better yesterday evening, and so far today things are good. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep much last night. Finally got to sleep around 3:30 and up at 6:30. Not sure what today holds. I thought the service guy for the ICP was Tuesday & Wednesday, but he's here today and tomorrow. This is of course assuming I can get him a gate pass... Security here is pretty tight. Other than that I have some banking to do for mom. Nothing major, just setting up some automatic payments for her car insurance.

    Tomorrow is however crazy busy...

Hoo boy. Cases have spiked so much that we'll be going to hybrid next week for three weeks. Please, friends, do what you can to limit contact.

@Snowflake1968 - We're kind of figuring things out as we go. We are now supposed to re-do our seating charts at LEAST weekly, based on which students are actually present in class, trying to space them out as much as possible. But we have students coming and going from quarantine daily, so... I just don't see how that's going to work.
