08/24 – …..187.4…..(Trend Weight: 188.6) Thanks to Jill for offering this challenge! I am hoping to lose about 5 pounds per month but I added an extra pound (total 6) because I am starting in August. I, too, lose more weight when I log my food and exercise so I am hoping that doing so daily will keep me accountable. Good luck to all!
08/25 – …..187.0…..(Trend Weight: 188.5) Down a bit today. I know yesterday could have been filled with better choices and no last minute snacks. I will be traveling today so I will be eating dinner out which usually causes an uptick. I will push water and make up for any overages in the coming days. I am 100% committed to enjoying life, but getting healthy too!
08/26 – …..188.4…..(Trend Weight: 188.5) Thank Goodness for trends because the scale really jumped after the travel yesterday. I feel very sluggish today-no energy. A result of my bad eating and my sugar ingestion yesterday. As a T2D, I knew this was bound to happen and I didn’t listen to my own reasoning. Today I pay the price. Pushing water, walking and all healthy low cal and lower carb choices today. Part of my new lifestyle is to treat my body well after I’ve screwed up. Today is “be good to Donna day”. I will be eating right.

I really appreciate your daily blurb. I think this is very helpful to look back on. I think I’m going to try and do this in depth in a home health journal but possibly something like this (less detailed) on here. Do you mind if I borrow this setup?0 -
Today (08/26/21) I weighed in at 189.6. This is the first day I weighed in under 190!
I did a 30 minute walk today but did other walking for a 10k+ day.
I logged all my food and was under calories.3 -

I'm up for logging every day as an additional motivation. Back on MFP after a 10 year hiatus during which I got down to 160, but now back to square one and then some.

Thanks so much Jill! I started off following something called the Fast800 diet, which would be frowned on by mfp guidelines so I won't elaborate much then switched to low cal keto but have since incorporated more carbs as I was so tired and weak all the time and my muscles felt useless. I fast until 1pm most days and generally only get carbs from fruit and veg, no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes etc. I include fats as snacks like cheese, avocadoes and peanut butter as they keep me feeling satisfied, and try not to eat big meals as I find that makes me more hungry later. I have recently started taking daily walks for an hour or so to try and get my heart rate up and improve my metabolism and stamina, seems to be working so far!
(Also to add that this is since July 5th, I've written the date UK style there but US style for the rest of the post, whoops, confusing, sorry!)1 -

Happy Friday friends,
So far this week I’ve gotten up every morning at 6am to see my daughter off to school, watch the sunrise, and designate personal time to myself and MFP. It’s amazing how therapeutic it is connect with like- minded fitness friends.
I’ve logged 5 days in a row and weighed in 5 days in a row. I’m very happy with this even though I’ve gone over my calories every day. You have to walk first before you can start running, right. I’m making steps in the right direction, and getting back into better habits.
Together we can do anything!

Exercise: yes; did a 4.7 mile walk today on top of chicken chore of clean coops and chasing them back into the coop so I could go to walk almost 20k steps in today
Although I only ate once because of the time consuming chicken chores (we ate at Pizza Hut 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️)
I was still under caloric allotment and was able to walk a good walk. I feel good and I’ll be up with the sun tomorrow to do a little stay-cation with my husband and 2 girls before school starts at a local theme park. I’m sure I’ll be walking all sorts of places and getting in walking as well as some swimming at the water park.3 -

08/28 - 225.6 I'm claiming every ounce. I've earnt it. Logged everything and been on track with my meals and snacks all week. I enjoyed a couple of glasses of Shiraz last night, all within a reasonable calorie count. Resisted tempations to snack on unhealthy crap, which is a big thing for me. My cherry tomatoes growing in my greenhouse have been my go to and they taste delicious.3 -

Nice going! My daughter’s favorite pizza in the entire world is Pizza Hut pizza. We were at Pizza Hut when I was 9 months pregnant with her and that was the last thing I ate before she was born.
Have a great staycation and enjoy the amusement park! My husband and I met when we were both working at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH back in 1993. Amusement parks are awesome!

Today we’ll finish packing up my son for his move-in tomorrow. We got a lot done yesterday.
My daughter’s boyfriend moves into college today, so she’s pretty sad about that and her brother moving back to school.
Today we’re under a heat advisory, so I feel an afternoon family swim coming on before tomorrow’s moving madness. On top of that, there isn’t any air conditioning in his on- campus apartment. I feel a fabulous workout coming on!
