I was doing great up until the last couple months. Starting a new job and almost every evening driving kids to sports and activities has reduced one-time to basically nearby breweries and occational snacks I shouldnt have. Trying to find a way to get back on that good train I had going2

Trying to work acceptable calories into limited food breaks during a weekend virtual conference, plus exhaustion, is a challenge. Doing my best and trying to just drink water to fill up. I catch a break today being cheat day, but even then, trying for a sub vs. junky junk food.
Welcome, and welcome back, to those joining the month in progress. Wishing the best for your goals.

Now that I'm only 9.2lbs away from my goal I set out in March I'm finding it extremely hard to lose these last couple lbs. Mind you, I haven't been exercising or watching what I eat like I did in the beginning. Since Fall has arrived I find myself wanting more comfort food ie. carbs and sweets. Carbs/Sugars and the scale don't mix for me. OK, then there was Halloween and with 3 kids and a husband who loves the little chocolate bars it's so hard. I have been pretty good but in March I wouldn't have even thought of eating one. At least when I do have a treat I stick to 1-2 little bars. But on the flip side perhaps it's better that I'm taking longer to lose the last bit and it will carry through Christmas so I won't overindulge. I will get to my ultimate goal eventually just at a snails pace, lol. It's hard to be 51 and only 5 feet tall, doesn't allow for many calories in a day in order to lose weight. I have to eat only about 800-900 calories consecutively to lose anything.3 -

Back on plan today. At least I didn't go any higher over the weekend, so I am being nice to myself.
@Annawan24 I know those last 10 lbs seem to be a common stuck point for a lot of folks on the MFP boards. Maybe poke around in the the Success Stories threads, or Maintaining threads -- see if there's any advice there that might help since you're so close to goal weight. I know some folks have said eating 10 MORE calories per day can help give your metabolism a little confusion and cause it to burn calories a little better (might be worth trying for a day or 2, and you can always go back to current calories if it doesn't work).
I do some of those online Leslie Sansone videos -- the 1 miles videos of hers on YouTube are only 15 minutes long and are basically low impact aerobics. They're supposed to be equivalent to burning 100 calories per video. Maybe you could add one of those in every other day, and see if that helps those last numbers drop.
You're so close though and have been super successful in getting to this weight. Would you be happy if you stayed at this weight? Could you maintain this and feel happy? Just some things to think on. I'm happy for all you've done - it's a great accomplishment.2 -

Nov 3 164 lbs!? I can only assume this is water weight. We had to drop my kids off at my in-laws which is about an hour away, so we stopped for dinner at A&W 🙄 I didn't want to eat subway, which is what I usually get if we stop for take out on the run. Won't be doing that again. (It wasn't even that good.)

I have been weighing myself daily, but I've been too ashamed to share. Which defeats the purpose of this group. I've really been struggling with my food choices. I have good intentions and then I don't follow through. I used to meal plan all the time, since I've gone back to work I've found that I'm too tired or the motivation to meal prep is gone. And I feel overwhelmed with all the other chors around the house that have been neglected. I know I'm not the only working mum out there, does anyone have advice?3 -

Hugs, I've been there too! It's so difficult sometime to come home after work and then have to cook for the family. I'm never prepared for what's for dinner when I walk in the door or the kids ask what's for dinner. It's almost always I'm not sure yet until I look in the fridge or freezer to see what I can whip up. I can't get motivated to meal prep let alone do the shopping. I do pretty much eat the same that my family does but if we're having potatoes or rice I usually just have a little. For me making a different dinner or choosing things like cauliflower rice etc... just aren't going to do it. I never say that I'm dieting rather I say that I'm watching what I eat. I do still enjoy all I love to eat but in moderation.
Sorry I don't really have any advice but I know what you are going through and you are not alone! You got this! It is very important though to write down everything you are eating and drinking in a day to keep yourself accountable. It's can be very surprising how quickly the calories add up. Also, perhaps try to increase your activity level just a little. I set out a challenge whereby I have to achieve at least 5,000 steps a day. I know that doesn't seem like a lot but when you work at a desk all day it's hard to get in the steps. So it either has to be done in the morning before work or afterwards. There have been many days where I'm walking about my house none stop to get my count in.

I was very into fitness & soccer from 2013-2015 and was fairly muscular with an ideal (for me) body fat percentage at about 150lbs. I was badly injured in 2015, which resulted in a ~30lb weight gain (180 in 2017) because I couldn't do ANY physical activity for years while I rehabbed. I was able to get back into soccer and dropped ~10lbs (170 in 2019), but then put on ~25lbs during the pandemic (194 in 2021). I got back into fitness and soccer but the weight is not coming off, so I am setting a goal to focus on my eating w/MFP. I am also meeting with a life coach to talk about other ways I'm blocked in my life personally, professionally, and fitness/health-wise. I'd love to hear others' experiences!3 -
