Starting fresh today (12/15/21). I saw my dr yesterday morning and weighed 171. She looked at my chart and said, "2 years ago you weighed 158. I'd like to see you that weight when you have your physical in March." So, Dr.'s orders as they say. 13 lbs is utterly doable in that amount of time. I'll check in more often for inspiration here.

This has got to be dehydration but I will take it! The weather in the mid Atlantic has been beautiful and great for walking. I have found a podcast that lasts about 40 minutes so that is perfect for a walk in the woods and through the neighborhood. Happy Friday, Everyone!11 -

12/16: 167.7
12/17: 166! Lowest weight in 3 years. *throws confetti*
Evidently that 5lb gain that happened over night last week is flushing out of my system. Happy dance! Even when it's just water, I don't want to be carrying it around.

Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hashimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
November: 203.4 - 199.8: 3.6 lb loss
12/1: 200.0 lbs - the past two night i have had a snack of honey nut cheerios. i haven't been hungry but just wanted something. tonight i will NOT eat cereal!!!
12/2: 200.4 lbs - I'm not quite sure what caused the gain because I was well under my calories yesterday (and no cereal). But fluctuations happen!
12/3: 199.0 lbs - happy friday all! after a week off, i will have to start training for my next half marathon this weekend.
12/4: 199.2 lbs - 4 miles and dog walk done this morning. Now to start the Christmas shopping!!
12/5: 198.8 lbs
12/6: 200.2 lbs - I didn't pretrack my meals yesterday and went slightly over calories. I've been doing this so long, that rarely happens. This will come off.
12/7: 199.2 lbs - happy tuesday!
12/8: 199.0 lbs -
12/9: 198.4 lbs - 2 days of an upset stomach. I have no clue why.
12/10: 198.0 lbs - 3 days with super low calories. I am assuming I will rebound a little bit this weekend.
12/11: 199.0 lbs - not surprised I had too much sodium yesterday. 😃
12/13: 198.8 lbs
12/14: 199.0 lbs
12/15: 198.2 lbs - happy wednesday! not much new here. doing the same old same old.
12/16: 198.8 lbs - lots of movement yesterday ~15k steps
12/17: 197.4 lbs - this was after my long run so prob will go up tomorrow.11 -
Goal weight Jan 31 = 241
Ultimate Goal Weight = 170
Nov 13 = 256.0
Nov 20 = 251.2
Nov 27 = 249.4
Dec 4 = 249.4
Dec 11 = 248.8
Dec 18 = 246.4
Down 9.6 lbs in 5 weeks. I've been vigilant in tracking my food intake and still averaging around 2,200 calories each day.
My next step is to get better at meal planning so I can work on the macros. My fat % is too high and protein % is too low. I think this will help me on those days when my hunger is difficult to manage and also help nudge my calorie intake down to 2,000.
I hope everyone has a successful week ahead and that you all get one step closer to your goals!!14 -

Hello! I’m 34F, 5’4 and started using MFP again at the end of May and feel like I am in it for the long haul this time, learning how to cook healthy foods and creating healthy habits.
May 28th 2021 Weight 240lbs (also my highest weight)
Ultimate goal weight 170lbs (I’ll reassess once there but that feels more like a doable goal right now)
Challenge starting weight- 204lbs
Challenge end goal- 195lbs (was 190lb but adjusted my calorie goal a bit higher)
Sunday is my weigh in day
11/01 204.0 up a bit from yesterday but had double my normal sodium intake yesterday. It makes for an even number to start out with
11/07 205.8 +1.8lbs had an imaging appointment the next town over was stressing out for, day of didn’t eat beforehand then went shopping and brought so many treats plus fast food for lunch and dinner. That was the only day I actually went over my bmr but was over my calorie goal more often this week. Plus side, results of imaging were good news.
11/14 204.0, 1.8 lbs lost, 0.0lbs lost this month. Alright, am now at least back where I started this month. Had a pretty good week, two hikes, one walk and two shopping days that got a lot of steps. Finally found a pair of hiking shoes that fit (had to get a mens pair as have not found one women’s pair in wide) Been wearing them around the house and for shopping, hopefully will be good today, first time using them on a hike.
11/21 203.4 -.6lbs the week and month. Okay week. 1 hike and 3 walks but was more hungry this week, and ate out a couple days so I was over my calorie goals a few times. Edited my calorie goal to losing .5lbs a week and may keep it like that for a bit… I won’t make my 190lb challenge goal that way but will still be in onderland by end of the challenge
11/28 202.2 -1.2lbs this week, 1.8lbs this month. 4 walks this week, I eat somewhat unhealthy for a few days this week. On the plus side I also tried a couple healthy new recipes: a Lentil-potato soup and a chicken curry. Both very nummy. Think the loss is more a cumulative couple week whoosh than anything in particular I did this week.
-1.8lbs total this month.
12/05 201.0 -1.2 this week and month. -3lbs challenge. Had a pretty good week, 1 hike, 4 walks and a yardwork day. Under my calories goal every day. Tried a red lentil curry and a tomato garlic chicken curry. Both tasted amazing, I did overcook the lentils, it is a learning process.
12/12 201.6 +.6 this week, -.06 this month, -2.4 this challenge *sigh* Exercised 5 days this week, I was over calories two days and under the rest of the week, overall had a good week. Next week will hopefully show improvement number wise, just gotta keep plugging away
12/19 199.4 -2.2lbs this week, -2.8:this month -4.6 this challenge. !!!Am excited to touch wonderland for the first time in a while. Hopefully won’t bounce back too much next week after such a nice loss this week. Had a great week, had a staycation. Exercised 6 days this week, and got a lot of steps in the 7th. Was under my calories 6/7 days as well. Food experiment this week was a savory oatmeal. Put in tomato paste, garlic and onion powder and topped with some mozzarella cheese. So nummy!

My name is Donna and I am 61 years old. I live in the Midwest of the USA. 5' 5" tall. My starting weight was 253. I have relapsed in the past year and need to get back on track. I am type 2 diabetic and in remission for breast cancer. Health is my #1 priority.
Thank you @RubyRed427 for starting another challenge.
Start Weight: 188.2 (Weight on Oct 31, 2021)
Goal Weight: 173.2
End Weight: xxxxx
Short term goal: To lose about 5 pounds per month.
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s
Nov 01…..189.4…..(Trend Weight: 187.7)…..What a horrid way to start the month. Pizza and Halloween candy were present but not to blame. It’s on me.
Nov 03…..189.0…..(Trend Weight: 187.9)….. Weight down a touch, but trending up. Good news on my surgery results. No sign of breast cancer in the surgical tissue lumpectomy. So it looks like I may be around awhile folks! Today is my daughter’s 27th birthday who lives with me. There will be festivities, food, cake, ice cream etc. So many reasons to double celebrate today for us! Tomorrow, back on track! Snow again here today. Outside too cold but I will try to get my steps in the house around the renovation men. The tile project should be done by tonight. Another week or two of men working and I will get a break until after New Years. I can’t wait!
Nov 10…..189.6…..(Trend Weight: 188.6)…..I’ve been eating horribly since I found out I needed the surgery. The surgery is over but the bingeing hasn’t stopped. It’s time to get myself back in control. This is counter-productive!
Nov 17…..189.8…..(Trend Weight: 189.4)….. I almost convinced myself that I’d made some extra positive changes to my diet. Then I weighed myself this morning and after some investigation and reflection….Not really. Not enough anyway. I’m going to work on a better upcoming week. I’m running out of options for better health. There’s no way around exercise and you can’t outrun the fork. Gotta do it the old fashioned way and stop thinking I can outsmart the experts!
Nov 24…..189.6…..(Trend Weight: 189.2)….. I am not doing well in every possible way. Mentally, physically, emotionally. I’ve got to get a grip. Losing site of my own health is not helping anyone else who needs me right now.
Nov 30…..189.2…..(Trend Weight: 189.7)…..
Nov Goal: 183.2
Nov Actual: 189.2
Cumulative Weight Loss so Far: 6 lb GAIN
Dec 01…..188.7…..(Trend Weight: 189.5)….. My brother passed away today at the age of 54. It was rather sudden but I was caring for him with the help of end-care hospice. I’m a hot mess and have been for a bit. I don’t know how I am going to pull myself together, especially with the holidays here. That’s always a tough time for dieting. I’m doing everything from eating my emotions to bingeing. Nothing will bring him back. I’ve got to get a grip. Please be patient with me, my friends. I’m doing good minutes or moments at a time but it doesn’t last. But I never give up. This reminds me how much my family needs me. I’ve got to get back to the positive changes I need to make. I just need a minute.
Dec 07…..188.2…..(Trend Weight: 189.4)…..
Dec 14…..191.6…..(Trend Weight: 190.4)….. The death of my brother has really found me spiraling out of control. It has been horrid. Couple that with travel for Christmas shopping and all the cravings that come with being off plan and it’s a recipe for disaster. Hell, I haven’t even started baking yet. I’ve got to get a grip. Nothing will bring him back.
Dec 21…..191.4…..(Trend Weight: 190.5)….. Another death this week. A friend of 20 years age 55 from an Asthma attack. I had a full-on binge yesterday of BBQ chips and donuts that I bought at the store when I went to get water. It was so bad that I skipped dinner just to off-set the calories. I feel like death warmed over today. I have none of the energy that good foods would have given me. This is just another example of my food killing me, like a poison because of my relationship with it. I’ve got to do better! I know this was emotional eating. Too many death's this month. But it solves nothing!
