    Hi
    I am Dawn
I started on MFP October 28.18 at 191 pounds.
    I am 61 and 5'2"
    UGW 115-ish

12/01 - 136.7 - Slightly lower than November's end weight although I showed a small gain in November. Holiday season is upon us this month. My plan is to reduce as much as possible before the feasting begins.
12/02 - 137.6 - My usual jumping around in weight. Trying to get used to it after 3 years on MFP seeing this.
12/03 - 137.0 - I have always gone up and down, I am feeling like this is my current set point. Of course I liked it better when it was 130.6-133.6. I am not doing anything differently than when I was at that point. The 120s are looking illusive right now, but I realize that I felt the same thing when I just couldn't seem to get out of the 180s (or 170s, 160s, 150s, etc.
12/04 - 138.1 - Restaurant food, a few cocktails and salty snacks. Expected a jump and got one.
12/05 - 137.1 - Maybe the 136s tomorrow, going to try although dinner will be very late because of work.
    12/06 - 137.3 - A smaller fluctuation than I am used to lol.
12/07 - 136.9 - Hope to be lower tomorrow than my start weight for the month
12/08 - 136.0 - That is better. I was 135.8 last Christmas, so definitely am hoping to be at least a few pounds less than that going into this one. Honestly, in a year, I had hoped to be well into the 120s by now.
    12/09 - 136.4 - No comment lol
12/10 - 136.6 - Decided to change my scale battery after this, and then it wouldn't start again. Guess that buying a new scale will be on my agenda for after work today.
12/11 - 135.8 - New scale this morning, WW scale in the garbage. Haha I like this one better, down almost a pound : - )
12/12 - 135.4 - Ice skating at an arena in another town this aft, hoping to see another drop tomorrow morning.
12/13 - 136.6 - Trying to take it in stride this morning, I weighed very early.
    12/14 - 134.8 - That's more like it!
12/15 - 134.4 - Did HIIT with weights 2 days in a row on the weekend on top of my usual workouts, plus skating. I have a slow metabolism in general, but I feel like that extra work is just appearing on the scale 3 days later.
12/16 - 133.4 - Wow, didn't expect a drop today, doing the same things as when I had the spike up. Nevertheless, happy to see this
12/17 - 133.2 - Planning a bit of indulgence tonight, but this lower scale number will motivate me to hopefully not go crazy. Prosecco, cheese, and Beef Vindaloo is my plan. I will be sure to get some HIIT in again this weekend (I have more time to work out on days off).
12/18 - 134.8 - Expected, restaurant food. Holiday party for work not starting until 9pm tomorrow night - lasagna, spring rolls, a bunch of stuff. I will try to keep my calories very low today. Lol, I am usually getting ready for bed at 9pm.
12/19 - 135.6 - low calorie day yesterday, tonnes of activity including shovelling twice. Maybe the gain is from Friday still registering (I was not above calories that day either). Lasagna and Spring Roll dinner between 9pm and 10pm tonight. I will eat as little as possible without being rude to the people who made the food. I am taking salad and deviled eggs for my contribution. Afraid for the scale the next few days.
12/20 - 135.8 - Not bad for a late work party/dinner, although it could catch up with me. I burned a gazillion calories beforehand shoveling and ice skating.
    12/21 - 136.6 - Ouch.

[ I feel like death warmed over today. I have none of the energy that good foods would have given me. This is just another example of my food killing me, like a poison because of my relationship with it. I’ve got to do better! I know this was emotional eating.

Be kind to yourself and grant yourself grace, just like you would for any one of us. You know the 'why', no need to beat yourself up over it. Take a breath, take a walk/bath/mani/pedi/however you pamper yourself, and move on. Today is a new day.

Sage advice. I know that it is hard for you to get outside with the handymen there Donna. You probably have as much snow as we do here. Put on your snow boots and a warm coat and get a walk down to the river to reset. You have been through so much. Hopefully the poisonous foods are now gone. Very aware of you to realize how they are making you feel. That is a big step.

    Nikki, 52 years old, 5'6"
WL history: ups and downs for years
Exercise: treadmill walk 5x/week (actual exercise not allowed yet, hope to be released from restrictions at the end of December)
Goal: truly give up gluten and avoid it (not allergic, just pick up many pounds of fluid for days)
Goal: put myself on the things-to-do list, and the take-care-of list
Goal: lose it and maintain it
    Ultimate Goal weight: 145
6/7/2022 goal (next oncologist appointment): 177 (-20lbs from 12/7/21 appt)
    December goal: 195

12/1 - 196.0 was a sticker shock this morning. A lot of inflammation still from surgery last month so my 12/31 goal is slightly possible but not very confident. I'm not shifting it though. Onward and downward!
12/2 - 195.4 first day back to work (remote) was too long and I'm starting the day exhausted. Not sure why I worked 12 hours but so much to do and I'm running out of year. Didn't walk yesterday so my plan is a lunch treadmill walk today.
12/3 - weighed but forgot to post
12/4 - weighed but forgot to post, I did walk on the treadmill for 40m
12/5 - 195.6 This week was rough and a definite reminder that even though I'm not in pain and back to work, that I'm far from healed. Simply exhausted by the end of the day. Today I'm meal prepping breakfast and lunch (egg cups and lasagna soup), dinners for the week will be hunk o'meat + veg. If I was smart I'd go walk now as it's 12:40p and I'm waiting on the soup to simmer, and then work for the afternoon.
    Week 1 loss - 0.4 from 12/1
    12/6 - ?
    12/7 - 197.6 oncologist appointment
12/8 - 197.4 yesterday's oncologist appointment went well but was told that I need to take control and drop some pounds. My goal is 177 by 6/7/22, my next appointment. That's 20 pounds, 24 weeks. I have got to get my motivation and big girl panties firmly in place. I'm still limited to walking after my surgery but I haven't been doing very much of that. So a daily walk and better food choices is my future; not sure when I'll be released for more activity but maybe January.
12/9 - 195.8 so hard to figure out my weight, I really need to find a trend app so I can ignore the ups and downs and just watch the trend. OK, looking now for one.
12/10 - 196.0 (196.2 trend) - couldn't find Happy Scale so downloaded Libra Weight Tracker, but Libra counts in kgs and libres, and there isn't an option to switch it to pounds. So I know if I convert my 196 kilograms I'll be in completely shock and melt-down! LOL. Got my hair cut this morning, will have a lunch walk, and dinner out with my hubby (plan will be to order meat + veg).
    12/11 - 195.6 (196.18 trend)
12/12 - 195.2 (196.07 trend) was hoping for lower this morning but it's still down so I'll take it. Dinner is beef roast and broccoli, and a glass of wine.
    Week 2 loss - 0.4 from 12/5
12/13 - 195.8 (196.2 trend) I added some gluten-free pasta to dinner last night, and I spiked slightly today. I think there's a trend with gf items. Dinner is baked chicken leg quarters with cauliflower, the family can finish the pasta.
12/14 - 196.0 (196.18 trend) Off to the dentist bright and early this morning but had a rather disappointing weigh-in before I left. Dinner is meatloaf & broccoli, after a treadmill walk. Had a glass of wine too.
12/15 - 195.6 (196.12 trend) Treadmill walk today. Dinner is...well...not really sure. Probably a hunk o'meat + veg. That's a pretty common menu around here. Ordered 3 boxes of 40 lb chicken thighs from a friend with meat connections, it's being delivered today so I'll need to repack it and throw it in the deep freeze. We are definitely not vegetarians/vegan around here in rural Indiana.
12/16 - 197.0 ?? (trend 196.08) Consistently walking, good food, no idea why the jump. Today is my 4-week surgical check-up. Was warned at the 2 week appointment that my weight and activity restrictions won't be lifted at this visit so am trying to keep that in mind so I'm not disappointed. I really want to do more than walk though. Dinner is something using chicken thighs + broccoli.
12/17 - 195.0 (trend 196.05) Surgeon cleared me for 15lbs and can do more cardio (bike/elliptical). Even said I can start running again as long as I take it slow. Obviously I need to pay attention to my energy level, which is still pretty low. I know that resuming running will help with the scale, but I could also sabotage my healing, so at this point I think I'm going to stick with walking. Will reevaluate in January and perhaps pick up some then. So if I start talking about running, remind me that I'm not going to do it until at least 1/1! LOL No walk today though, not feeling awesome after my surgeon appointment.
12/18 - 196.6 (trend 196.13) Still not feeling awesome after surgeon appointment, not planning on walking today either. Had risotto last night w/ scallops, yummy meal at one of my favorite restaurants, but scale up this morning.
12/19 - weighed but forgot to post
    Week 3 loss - +1.2
    12/20 - 198.6 (trend 196.22)
12/21 - 197.4 (trend 196.22) still treadmill walking, added 2lb arm weights with walk last night with some arm curls etc. Leftovers for dinner.
12/22 - 197.6 (trend 196.36) LOL my trend is bouncing around just as much as the real scale weight. Treadmill walk + arm weights on the agenda again today. Rough work day/week/month/year...2022 will be better as I'm adding another person to my department. Finishing cleaning out the fridge tonight but not much left, will probably have eggs.
12/23 - 197.6 (trend 196.5) Consistently walking, consistently stressed. Jan & Feb are horribly work stressers, and that's coming too quick.
    12/24 - son's 22nd birthday
    12/25 - Christmas Day
    12/26
    Week 4 loss -
    12/27
    12/28
    12/29
    12/30
    12/31
