NOTE: Kicking off the challenge this year ... it has been around since who knows ... at least 2017, but didn't see it in the challenges for 2022.
I personally need the weekly visibility to my ups & downs throughout the year so that I don't disappear and give up.

Looking forward to others joining that wish to track their progression weekly throughout 2022!
Pick your weekly weigh in day to report back. I personally do weigh daily as well but there is something about a stake in the ground on a weekly basis visible over a year that helps with the big picture.
Female, Age 61, 5’3”
Weigh In Day is Monday!Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out.
A pound a week seems reasonable. Why is it so hard?

Past week's successes: I created a menu for the week that includes both lunches and dinners! I also signed up for my strength class (class for age 50+ taught by a very active 70 year old that has routines to music ... repetitive hand weights to music plus things like squats, lunges, planks. )
This week's challenges: Following through with my menu plans, journaling everything that goes into my mouth (quit journaling in October and gained weight of course). Oh and make sure I drink water instead of Diet Coke!

This will be my first challenge ever in MFP and I'm looking forward to celebrating success with you!
Starting weight: 240
Goal weight: 188
Current weight: 240
Total weight lost:
Last week's successes: I created a menu plan for the entire month of January in the hope of curbing my family's need for fast food.
This week's challenges: Working out every day, tracking food intake daily, 5 servings of fruit/veggies daily, 96 oz. water daily.5 -
Starting weight: 273.2
Goal weight: 180
Current weight: 273.2
Total weight lost: 0
Last week's successes: Deciding I needed to do something to better my health.
This week's challenges: Eating better and tracking my food.
I've joined MFP several times and find it hard doing alone. Thought joining a challenge might help motivate me and keep me on track. I work a lot and never have time for me. This year that all has to change.
I'm 45 and 5'5" tall.... I've noticed in the last few months I've been getting tired fast, and my knees kill me. 3 years ago, I was at my lowest weight of 200 but then my mother pasted, and I let emotional eating take over. It's time to get myself back on track8 -
Starting weight: 223.5
Goal weight: 160
Current weight: 223.5
Total weight lost: 0
Last week's successes: None that I can think of.
This week's challenges: My beloved dog, who was my hiking partner, died unexpectedly last week from cancer. I'm having a hard time caring about anything and the thought of walking/hiking without her in unbearable.13 -
Starting weight: 202.6
Goal weight: 150

Last weeks success: Started swimming again
This weeks challenges: Tracking and eliminating added sugar and sweets

Starting weight: 201
Goal weight: 140

Total weight lost: ?
Last week's successes: I started tracking my calories, and have been consciously eating more fiber, more protein, and less sugar. I'm kicking off the year with a fast from all added sugars for the month of January. I worked out once.
This week's challenges: Getting more protein, actually exercising.
I feel more determined than ever to get healthy. I've let being a stay at home mom of two littles cause me to emotionally eat and stress eat. Being at home with access to the kitchen 24/7, baking lots of Christmas cookies, and being very sedentary has me weighing as much as I did December of 2020 when I gave birth to my second daughter. I gained 15 lbs just between September-December 2021. I feel very motivated to make some lasting changes and to honor my body by giving it the nutrients it needs to help it feel great. I've never been athletic or fit in my life, so my biggest obstacle is beginning to exercise and then stick with it.5 -

Last week's successes: Yesterday I strategized. Meal planned and exercised. My expectations are low but doable (15 min of stretching/calisthenics along with walking my dog). Today I shopped and prepped veggies. My back up plan is to have a protein shake if I get to the end of my work day and am too tired to make a meal. No takeout or bad food choices! I decided to follow this plan for the month of January and reassess on Feb 1. I can do anything for one month right??
This week's challenges: I have also embraced an alcohol free January. First day of work tomorrow. Holy cow I am hopeful.
