Although I am with another weight loss group that weights in weekly, I could use more motivation. This looks like a fun group!

    Starting weight: 173.2
    Goal weight: 150.0
    Current weight: 173.2
    Total weight lost: 0
Last week's successes: This is my first week getting back on track, so nothing to share yet.
This week's challenges: Getting back into some good habits, daily morning walks, drinking at least 80 oz of water, and tracking "everything" consumed that has calories.
    Weight in Day, Saturdays
    Jan 01: 173.2
    Jan 08: TBD

    Starting weight: 205.5 lbs
    Goal weight: 140 lbs
    Current weight: 198.5 lbs
    Total weight lost: 7 lbs
Last week's successes: I weighed and logged everything I ate and drank and stuck to my calorie allowance.
This week's challenges: staying on track! I've had a really good loss this first week but I can already hear my inner voice trying to convince me, since I've done so well, that I can have a treat...

    WK01: -7 lbs

Hope you're all doing well x

Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out.
A pound a week seems reasonable. Why is it so hard?

Hi all. I'm going to give this a shot. Friday will be my weigh-in day because it is so much easier to stay 100% on program during the week. Starting weight for 2022 was 209, so whatever weight loss I post tomorrow will be for more than 1 week. I'm a 72-year-old history instructor at a community college and I am 5'7"

I am going to confess right now that I do not deal well with failure. The reason I joined and quit WW so many times is that I absolutely hated when I followed the program and for whatever reason, did not have a loss one week. Once that higher number was entered into my book, I was resentful; if it happened a second week I would usually drop out because I had obviously FAILED. Before you spend time advising me about how this is a lifelong journey, Rome wasn't built in a day, good things come to those who wait etc, etc, etc, please know that I am aware of how immature and unreasonable my expectations are. Sorry, but that is just the way my brain works. I have no problems posting a weight gain if I break the rules (overeating, not exercising), but not if I follow the rules. So.....I might "accidentally" forget to post my weight on a Friday if the scale and my metabolism are being ornery, but I will update it as soon as they cooperate :)
