Most recent NSV is that I’m working with a trainer to improve my strength, focusing on bench, squats and deadlift. We have been working on form issues for these first three weeks. This week was a really great week. My trainer had me on a squat machine for the first two weeks after discovering that I had some knee cave going on. After showing me the hip abduction machine and having me work on it outside our sessions, she returned me to traditional back squats this week and the knee cave is beginning to go away! We have also had to ease into deadlift and get my form down, but tonight I progressed from 75 pounds to 95 pounds. I was super excited to hear that the form is getting better and better on deadlift! My trainer told me the progress will really get going when we actually begin the strength focus!20

Went out for a jog yesterday morning, didn’t realise it was rainy till I got downstairs, but thought we’ll ive started now. Got absolutely soaked, rain dripping off me and my trainers soggy, but I finished!24

My wife and I took our wedding rings in to be resized so we could wear them again. My ring size went from a 9.75 to a 7! The wife went from a 10 to a 7.75! So exciting to share these changes!28

NEE (No Evening Eating) since December 31st. I had realized how bad a habit it had become.23

A coworker told me today he's noticed that my arms have a lot more tone than they used to!19

i was at a funeral and seen someone I had not seen in 30 years and she said you have not changed a bit! Made me feel good, I was glad to have kept the weight off

I tried on a pair of my old size 6 corduroys. I can get them on a zipped but a tad to tight to wear yet, but soon. So from a 18 to a loose 8 and soon will be in clothes from my closet again! Wore a old pair of pajamas last night size small. And also grabbed a set of size small scrubs and they fit! So since May 14th I have dropped from a 2XL to Lg to size Small!!!!31

I tried on most of my clothes and ended up donating about half of them! I definitely will be going clothes shopping once spring rolls around.18

I made my step goal by marching round the flat today - I’m still in isolation after a bout of covid so this is the first time in a while I’ve hit 10,00019

I can fit into my favourite coat again.

I had two NSV's today! One was that, after a long day, I came home and made a healthy dinner (chickpea and rice casserole with turk'y cutlets and gravy) instead of getting takeout.
The other one was, while the casserole was cooking, I got in a quick weight workout-- it's the first time I've worked with weights since last year and the first time I've done any kind of workout since getting COVID back in mid-January. The weights were really light, but I'm proud that I got up and made the time to be active again20 -
I'm back on MFP for the first time in a long time. I'm really, really tired of the way I feel and look.
One day down and lots more to come.30 -
My NSV is seeing full body photos of myself about a year apart, and noticing how small my legs have gotten!35
-
I'm only two weeks in, but my underwear around my bum are quite loose19
-
I was able to size down in work-out leggings, from a large to a medium. I haven't been a medium in so long! My rings are also becoming too loose (which makes me sad, but it is a constant reminder that I am making progress).21

I went from Size 16 pants to size 12. They still feel a bit snug, but losing 5 Ibs more should make them fit looser.22

My goals might be a bit different from some of you on here but I still have days that are an emotional battle as well. I have lost and kept off 30 pounds for the past 3 years and have been working the past 2 years on recomping my body through weight lifting and nutrition. Right now, I am trying to build more muscle, so I started eating more, and those memories of carrying extra weight are suffocating me.
When I was in college, I gained weight and was about 160 pounds (my highest weight too that I lost 3 years ago) I was laying in my bikini in the grass and some boys called me a whale. That moment still haunts me and impacts how I see myself.
I texted my partner earlier today that I am feeling a lot of fear of failing at this attempt to build more muscle. He sent me words I am going to share with all of you:
You can't fail if you don't try. You also can't succeed if you don't try. You're trying and learning from it all so remember that, my love, and that in itself is incredible.
So my NSV is trying. Trying to be my best self and cultivating the belief in my self! Thank you all for being here.36 -

That partner is a keeper.
And... congrats on continuing to try.13
