Sounds bad -- no kickboxing last night. I was chatting w/my neighbor. Learned my children are not taking the school bus from my development. So time w/neighbor gave me info about my kids.

However, weight is down... 171.6 BMI is 30.

    Yeah, a loss.

    Have a good weekend all..

Don't worry Kelly I feel I may have sabtoged my progress. Purchased bags - handful of different MM varieties for a pretty jar I have sitting on my coffee table. Sigh..... who's coming to my house ... I'll share.

This is the problem when you run into the food store a little on the hungry side... of course due to the heat, I brought the bags into work (can't have melted candy now). The bags are mocking me... eat me, eat me, you know you like it...

I have 4 good days then 6 bad....1 good then 5 bad. Story of my LIFE! Just get tired of never getting to where I know I should be...can be. Don't want a weight problem. Look at my non-bio siblings and they eat it all, JUNK, even drink and smoke. and they are thinner than rails. I eat healthier than they do, exercise waaay more than either of them together. just bums me. I wanna look like I did 20 yrs ago...even after having the boys. I'll settle with 160, gasp at 150.

my candy dilemma...I was putting some clothes in Tanner's bedroom...saw a yellow Starburst, actually 4 on his nite stand....he doesn't like the *lemon* ones...so I took ONE. mocking here in Iowa too....

I like MM's...haven't had any of the new varieties...just plain, peanut. I bet the jar is pretty!
  • Ok so was not able to workout yesterday or today allergies got a whole lot worse and the coughing YUK!!! So I weightin at 253 today so I really got to get focus. Will see the doc on the 16th and he will decide to do surgery again or not. If not I will go back to work on the 19th.
Kelly I so know what u mean I feel the same way
Well I have a new child in my home, he is a young man that both my children went to school with. He has fallen into some bad times with family, school and work. So I took him in.He has been a blessing to all of us! Iam so glad I said he could live with us.
He been a big brother to my son and has helped keep peace from me and my daughter. He been a big help, he been a true blessing. He has a good heart he left yesterday to go help feed the firefighters that are battleing the fires here in Texas. So my plan tomorrow is to go and work out

Yesterday on my cross country bus trip I learned that my niece's best friend (freshman) was 3 seconds slower than last year's State Champ! Cool!

My BFF called me and invited me to go with her to pick up a rug she had purchased on Craigslist, then out for breakfast. Was soo good to see her. She used to be a size 0 and now is a 6 and calls herself fat? puuhhleeezze!

my chin is almost healed!! just using Carmex on it now.

Jacque...you're truly wonderful...a living angel!! sounds like your newest family member is bringing smiles and warmth to you all!! God bless you!!

I can't seem to get away from the tv today....it's still heartbreaking.
  • Sorry I have been on lately. Things have been hectic since Labor day. I am happy Zan has finally got his bottom right molar in and is sleeping better at night and for naps. Yeah mommy can get few things done around the house and a little computer time without Zan. What normally takes me 5 minutes to do takes me 15 minutes to do with Zan.

He is starting to express his independence and his sense of humor. When it time to leave our apartment, he will stay by our door just out of my sight until I walk down the hallway and push the elevator button and tell him the elevator is coming. Then he takes off running as fast his little legs can carry him, often falling down a few times. I would go ahead of him a little bit and hide just out of his sight and as he would come around the corner I would say BOO. He is trying to do the same thing to me now. :) Yeah I am so excited that if things go according to plan Ody will be getting a new wheelchair soon. :) This current one is about 6-7 years old. Definitely time for a new one. Still working on getting back into a school routine. Mornings will be filled with activities for Zan and exercise for mommy while afternoons will be nap for Zan and free time for mommy.

It is amazing how fast time is flying by. Zan is 16 months and his personality is coming out more and more each day. Ody will be 19 on Halloween. Boy am I getting old. In a few weeks I will be 39. I am not going to take that well. I am already sad about it. Boy I am just a rambling away.

Kelly- Glad your chin is almost healed!! I am happy that you got some time with your BFF. That time is very important to have. It keeps us sane. I think we all have times where are good days are fewer then are bad days. Pretty much since Sept. 3 has been bad for me. Each day is a new day and I keep trying.

Jacque- Your house guest sounds like great help. My brother lets people live with him but they are not good for him or his family but he can't say no to anyone who needs help. I pray that never happens to you.

Barb- I have been on a cookie kick lately and that has been making me have lots of bad days. I normally don't have cookies in the house but the last 3 times I went to the store I was hungry. OOPS! Came home with cookies and donuts each time. As soon as cookies are gone time to buckle down again.

My little man has been asleep for over 3 hours and just woke up hungry. Time to start laundry and feed my skinny minny. Have a great day ladies! :)

my mom and I went for Chinese yesterday. yes, very yummy.

then I had to pick up Tanner from college...his car is getting worked on, again. boys just can't leave their toys alone..geez. I get a car and drive it. they have to have new rims, new tires, new stereos, sub woofer sound system, new suspension, tinted windows, new lighting...

I guess we each have our own hobbies...and I have so many things to do here.. lots of work. I think I will start outside, since the weather is still nice and when it gets colder, do projects in the house. I need to weed my main flower garden, put away my yard art/junk for winter, and I want to landscape a small area (about 1/2 of the front side of the house). Now, I just gotta...get started. that's the hardest part...

will check in later. have a good one ladies.
  • Kelly- good luck with getting started on your outdoor chores. :) I know I have my own indoor chores to do like changing out Zan's toys and cleaning out my junk room. I can barely get in the room anymore.

    Have a great day!

been working on my landscaping project. not sure how long this will take to complete. and once dh gets home from Canada, he will insist on helping, hurrying, and doing a half-*kitten* job. **Not** gonna happen. I am in the process of picking up, digging up the smaller version of river rock...like quarter size. it covers an area about the size of a car, is around 4 bushes and many years ago when we did this, we put down black plastic. so, that is coming out too. Definitely need to get a load of dirt and level it from the foundation out. hopefully, we can get dirt from my in-laws..they live on a farm. gonna look at perennials tomorrow. I don't know...the price will determine if I get any. the hostas I dug out were in pretty bad shape. only 1 out of the 5 were actually still clumped together. the others were all spread out, separated. have dug a lot of tree roots out, and there must have been at least 5-6 walnut trees starting to grow. unattractive curb appeal. If I'm gonna do this, I want it done right, so I don't have to do it again. Kinda mad at myself for not taking care of this sooner. My legs and toosh muscles are sore from bending over, sitting on the ground, on my knees. I would love to take pictures before and after, but Tyler has my camera..they took it to the rock concert last week and it's in his car....an hour away.

also, had to pick up Tanner today at college.

they seal coated the road next to our property today. the tar smell is nasty. hoping candles will help.

not a good eating day... just no control lately.

    ciao

I didn't do well this week... didn't kickbox either...

    173.2

Have a busy weekend scheduled. Hoping to enjoy the weekend.

Did give my roommate notice last week -- she needs to leave for many reasons. The tension is thick between us... especially since I moved MY laptop to MY room. And I've been spending time on MY laptop w/o asking someone.

So I'm counting the days down till her leaving. During the hurricane as I was w/o power I realized hey, i like being in the house alone. I'm ok w/this.
  • Ok so 253 no loss no gain, which is good since I been down again. Gettin really tired of being sick. Headed to doctor again so we shall see whats next. Catch up later

    evenin' ladies..

    up .8 lbs....

went to the city today...made 8 stops and then picked up Tanner from college. I have a *deliver* only trip in the am, then I think we are going to get some landscaping blocks for the area I've been working on out front. been in the upper 50's the last few days and had the heat on in my bus!!

I soooo wanna get back on track
    I wanna eat healthier
    I wanna exercise regularly
    I wanna drink 8+ water's each day
I wanna get at least 7 1/2 hrs sleep each nite
    I wanna feel energetic
    I wanna be flexible

You could say I work part-time driving the bus. Why does all of the above look like a full-time job? Everything listed is something I **have** done in the past...and, yes, all at once. Planning helps and so does prioritizing. Still trying to figure this out...

Have a good weekend friends!! love ya all!

decided not to get the landscaping blocks. I really want dark grey/black, and they didn't have any at the stores I was at yesterday. looks like I'm gonna have to wait til next Spring. I can still get my plants moved tho...and Scott said we can get a load of dirt at the farm to fill in where needed around the foundation and yard.

    been doing *his* (vacation) laundry....

    have a good weekend everyone.:flowerforyou:
  • I am 221.6 (9/16/11). Being sick isn't how I would recommend losing weight but I will take any loss I can get.

Sorry I have been MIA. I am still sick. It really stinks when you can only breathe through your nose without going into a coughing spell especially with a curious 16 month old. I can't talk or laugh without coughing and if I am coughing, I can't breathe. My throat and chest hurt from coughing. Thankfully I usually get chunks of time in between coughing spells. I am trying to have as little contact as possible with Zan. The poor thing is suffering from mommy withdrawals. Daddy has been picking up the slack and I don't know who wants mommy to get better faster: Zan or Dan. Neither one is very patient with the other. Thank God Ody is flexible. I am scared I am going to give the boys what I have. I am trying to cover my mouth as much as possible and wash my hands often. I having being spraying Lysol in bathroom where I try to do as much of my coughing as I can. Ody has a fever now. He doesn't cough so I don't know if he is getting what I have. We maybe going to the urgent care tomorrow.

Barb- Glad M&M's are gone. I wish my cookies were but I have been too sick to eat cookies and my husband only eats 2 and he is done for the pack. I think that is a first for me to be too sick to eat cookies. Yeah for you!! I am happy that you are kicking out your roommate if it isn't working!! You should give my brother a lesson. He had 2-3 roommates plus 3 kids in house. Kids didn't like the roommates and wanted them out for valid reasons. Finally, my dad & step-mom stepped in since technically they own the house. It caused a conflict between them. My brother has a huge heart and can't say no to anyone in need.

Kelly- Look on the bright side whatever you get done now in your yard you won't have to do in the spring or at least I think you won't have too. I am not sure if you hand me a shovel I would know which end to use. I know when I work 20-40 hrs/wk I was way more productive with my day or at least it felt that way now that I stay home. I look at what I would get accomplished during my week when I worked vs what I get accomplished now. I feel like a failure but it is not because I didn't do as much as I did before; it is because I have shifted my priorities. Doing things with Zan is more important than doing housework. Your husband is lucky to have you as his wife. My husband only gets1 vacation of 9 days without me to his camping/fishing. All the rest of his vacation days we use as a family not that he gets that many vacation days anyway.

Jacque- Yeah for NO Gain. That is always good. Miss you. I hope you get feeling better soon.

Sindy & MissV- Thinking of you guys. Miss you. Hope things are going good for you.

Have a GREAT Sunday! I am ready for some football. Go, Pack Go!!!

    lost a post...

not sure what today will bring...raining. might visit inlaws. MIL is having her other knee done tomorrow. don't know if I will make the trip into the city to be there. might just wait until she gets home to visit her.

Angie..girl, you sound so sick. Is it a chest cold or from allergies? Tanner is using his nebulizer and taking Mucinex right now. He's been sick for a good week. He has asthmatic bronchitis and usually gets sick spring and fall. Thankful that Zan's molars are in and he is sleeping better...helps you too. He is at such a cute age... so curios! I bet Ody will really enjoy the new wheelchair! Hope he isn't too sick and is feeling better soon too. I got 6 yrs on ya..would love to be in the 30's again..even 39! 40 wasn't bad, but 45 was..5 more to 50!! yikes!! Hey, congrats on the loss! You are doing great here!! TAKE CARE and get better soon!!:flowerforyou:

Barb..hope you are enjoying your busy weekend! I have never done wine tasting..would need a dd :drinker: Ya know, from the sounds of it, the ol roommate was bringing you down...and you don't need that, ever!! Huge + on "kick-no boxing" her out. Can sense your relief and chipper-ness!

Jacque..sorry to hear you're sick. you've really had a rough time lately. praying for you that you feel better soon and are on the road to many, many healthy months ahead. Allergies are not fun! I remember very clearly how miserable I felt. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and I would be so plugged up, red eyes, tired, grouchy, headache...want-to-cry-all-the-time. total YUCK! get well!!:flowerforyou:

Well, I did a lot of reading on the "Success" threads last nite..trying to absorb some kind of motivation. I took measurements this am, recalculated my 'goals'. I even think I am going to change my weigh in day to Sunday...to see if it will help me stay on track during the weekend. I dunno. I need to try/change something. Not like I don't know what to do here, but I am willing to do anything to get me back. I can't keep doing what I am doing....*hearing my therapists voice*..'If nothing ever changes, you will always get the same results.' I'm not too worried about eating, measuring, preparing...but exercise is clouding my mind. I just gotta do it. Put on my tennis shoes and go for a walk. insert a DVD and lift weights or a VHS and stretch. It's all up to me. Time to be accountable.

Here's to each of us....getting healthier, reaching our goals, and succeeding! Enjoy the rest of your weekend gang!
  • Kelly- Hang in there. Take 1 day at a time and understand so days will be bad. You have to keep trying to find something that works for you. For me, I have to exercise as early as I can or else I put it off and won't do it. I heard about keeping a jar that you put $ into when you meet your daily goals for whatever. I was going to try this to get me motivated to change up my exercise routine. For very time I do something different from treadmill or elliptical, I am going to put a quarter in my container. I like the visual aid to encourage me and money to spend. I am going to splurge on a book as my reward for filling the container.

Yeah my Green Bay Packers WON!! Now if I am lucky my fantasy football team will win. I will probably taking Ody to doctors tomorrow. We have to be very careful if he gets a chest cold like I have because he could die from it. Ody doesn't know how to cough very well. It will be fun trying to bring both boys to the doctor when I am still not healthy. I am finally improving but still not back to normal. Hopefully by Tuesday. I still have a weak voice. It is hard to cheer when you have little voice and still struggling to breathe. Got to go. Have a great day!
  • Kelly- I just saw this in my Christmas Countdown Challenge and I wanted to share with you. At the end of each post state what positives happened. I am going to do this to help me focus on the positives. Have a great night! :)

    Positives today:
I drank 10 cups of water today.
    Packers won!

Angie..thanks for your encouragement and support..it helps me feel better. I'm just in this funk mode right now. For so many years this has been a pattern for me and I don't know how to shake it. One day it just disappears. I want to be one of them people who exercises every day with no effort, no excuses. that it will just happen, naturally. I know if that happened, A LOT would improve in my world. I agree, I too need to work out in the morning or at least before noon, other wise, chances are pretty slim it's gonna get accomplished. I'm not giving up. I know I can do this.

    Positives today:
    2 fruits eaten.
    Laundry done.

Go w/the positives.... could I say my positive was my roommate is now being more respectful since I gave her notice. Her dirty dishes are not left in the sink when she goes away for the weekend. She's not in the living room watching reruns of All in the Family or Sampson and Son. I'm the ONLY one using my computer. And she stated she was leaving earlier than Oct 15.. So far I haven't seen her move any of her items out of the bedroom....

Overall my weekend was good... Too good... didn't want to come into work. The wine festival was a lot of fun... the car show on Sunday was fun despite not being a trophy winner. I had many men (typically who participants in car shows) comment on my ride - her color, how shiny my rims are, how clean she is for a daily ride, the engine, etc etc... Food wise, eh... well maybe not good.... and I did sample different wines at the festival.

Kelly I would love to be one of those people who exercises daily w/no effort, no excuses... and can avoid sweets. Sigh... one day.

Oh my....there is a God!! VITA!! puuullllleeeezzzzz catch us up gurl! I been prayin' for your return!!
  • Welcome back MissV!! I can't wait to hear about your new town & team.

Kelly- I don't think wanting to exercise everyday is normal thing for most people. It is choice like what to eat is. Some people have easier time making those choices then other people but they struggle in something else.

Dan is with Ody who is in the hospital with pneumonia. I am at home with pneumonia and Zan. I want to go to the hospital but it is not in Ody's best interest. How am I supposed to get better when I am so worried about Ody? I am so NOT happy. Time for Zan to have lunch and nap. Maybe I will nap with Zan.

    Positives today:
    Zan is being good.
I am starting to feel better

  • Ody is in ICU on a ventilator because his oxygen levels are low. I am devastated. :brokenheart: I can't wait to feel better so I can hold my son's hand even if he don't know it.

Zan played well by himself today.

    afternoon ladies...

worked in my main flower bed all morning and it is DONE! all weeded. no more pulling... til next year!! I freaked out and screamed when I saw something move. At first I thought it was a mouse, a very BIG mouse. Then I noticed the area where I was, had rabbit fur in the ground/grass. So, I looked for "whatever" it was that moved and it was a baby bunny. I picked it up (had gloves on) and it didn't even scream, looks kinda malnourished, felt a little boney, and just didn't put up a fight. Put him/her back near nest and just avoided it. Remembering a day, many, many years ago...when the boys were like 2 & 4 and we found a next in our back yard...like 7 babies! they were so cute!

washed the windshield on my bus too. bugs have really made a mess on it lately. I think that's one of the good things about colder weather...no bugs.

we visited my MIL last nite...after her knee surgery. she's doing good and starts therapy today.

so far, my meals have been good.....positive!

take care everyone!! love and hugs!
