Oh no Donna about the Covid!
It seems like people can test negative before testing positive.
    Rest my friend.

    @mthomas0228
You are still sick, will you retest for Covid?

I felt super tired and didn't have any energy to work out on Thursday which is not normal and then I woke up sick on Friday, took a test with a negative result. Got a negative result again on Saturday. Took another test this morning & did test positive for Covid today (Sunday). I had been quarantining since Thursday just in case.

    I am Dawn
    61 years old, 5'2"
I joined MFP in October 2018
I have lost around 50 pounds and have another 20-30 to lose. I was 10 pounds less at this time last year and really did feel better. Right now I don't fit into the clothes that I was wearing then. I will use that as motivation to try to reduce.

Friday July 01 - 138.6 - Happy Canada Day : - ) I will try to keep it reasonable today after work when all of the festivities are going on. This morning shows me up 0.9 above last month's start weight.
Saturday July 02 - 136.2 - Huh? Well, I'll take it : - ) Danced my *kitten* off at the park right near my house. We too had a big rain storm at one point and got drenched. Ran under a tree, the band temporarily stopped so we went back to my place to change clothes and went back when we heard the band start back up. We got a beautiful rainbow after all of that : - )
Sunday July 03 - 138.4 - I went into the red a little bit (18) yesterday which rarely happens. The scale has reflected it. It is supposed to rain here for today and tomorrow, so I got all of the grass cut and stuff yesterday. Today I will pick away at indoor stuff, get the floors washed etc.
    Monday July 04 - 141.0 - Ouch
Tuesday July 05 - 140.4 - Very late dinner last night, so hoping to see a good drop tomorrow as I anticipate a normal eating window tonight. Went to see the Elvis movie, then watched the Macy's July 4th celebration on TV.
Wednesday July 06 - 138.6 - Okay, back to the month's start weight
Thursday July 07 - 138.6 - Expected a big drop today, so very much activity and little food. Maybe it will take a couple of days, or maybe my body likes it best at this weight.
Friday July 08 - 138.5 - So quick to gain, so slooowww to take off. Banner week, lots of exercise and healthy food choices. I honestly had expected a better drop. Friday night is usually when I eat something a bit more indulgent (but staying within calories). We'll see.
Saturday July 09 - 137.7 - I did have 4 wings last night. Weekends I definitely eat a little differently. I also have more time for working out on my days off, but I don't get the steps on my pedometre that I do while waitressing during the week.
Sunday July 10 - 138.8 - Taking the gain in stride.
    Monday July 11 - 141.0 - I don't get it : - (

    Start weight this month: 138.6

It's Paxlovid. It has to be started before day 5 of symptoms. I did a quick google search and my state had on online system, just entered a little information about my symptoms, age etc..and within 30 minutes had a video call with a nurse practitioner who approved the prescription, called into my pharmacy and I had it within a couple of hours. But if your state doesn't have that, any doctor should be able to prescribe it as well. Hope you feel better soon!

@mthomas0228 Thanks for the info. I may have passed the window as my symptoms started on Thursday. I did put in a call to my PCP but didn't get a call back yesterday.

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 62 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    Starting Weight : 202.8
    Goal: 197.8 (Five lb Loss)
    Actual Ending Weight: xxxxx

    07/10.…..198.4…..(Trend Weight 202.5)…..

07/11.…..195.6…..(Trend Weight 201.8)….. I went over calories in the red by 45 calories last night for the day, so before closing out I did some mild exercise that would not greatly affect my covid symptoms. I did a 6 minute slow walk around my rural back yard and then I did some stretching inside so I could get back in the green. I’m following my diet very well. Scale is catching up to efforts I think. No waterpill yesterday but still a drop. It’s funny……you get Covid and EVERYONE runs for the hills (as they should). But without all that influence, no daughter bringing home treats, no friend inviting you to dinner, no travel that includes restaurants, no holiday meals or social invites, no shopping for treats for grandson that you poke at too, etc. etc. it’s amazing how much faster you lose weight. If I had no social life…….. well, no, that would not be better I suppose. Anyway, clearly I’ve learned the meal prep, planning secrets, etc. Clearly I’ve learned what’s expected of me. It’s my response to the holidays, the social gatherings, etc. that are my weakness. I am stronger than I think when I’m locked in a box full of food and no one is here, but knowledge is power and I know I need to be just as strong when I’m with people who eat, eat eat.

07/12.…..196.6…..(Trend Weight 201.3 )….. No reason for the gain whatsoever except possibly sodium. Yesterday I decided to trade out my fiber count for sodium count on my MFP diary and boy was it an eye opener! I didn’t realize how much sodium is in things. Mine was way over and the main culprit was cottage cheese? Yikes….So there may be some retention today showing up. I may try an at-home test this evening to see if I still test positive for Covid. I have been sick for 5 full days including day 0 (Thursday). Still getting some phlegm but a lot less coughing. Overall, feeling a bit better, just a bit weak and dizzy at times still. Hard to tell the difference between the actual Covid right now, and the body that is fighting to get back to normal. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and doing things. I’ve just got to stay on target and not let the social stuff sway me. Don’t buckle Donna! It’s always YOU who decides what you poke into your piehole!
