I keep sabotaging myself. I know that making goals and sticking to them works but every day I struggle.
I think part of it is I really don’t like my job, I’m hoping to change that soon. I have a job interview tomorrow.
The other part is I’m very lonely in the evenings with DH at work and I’m snacking my way through. This has to stop!
Ugh! I’m starting again!

I enrolled in a sub-study of the nation-wide Cancer Prevention Study I've been in for years. Yesterday I received my activity monitor, which I must wear 7 consecutive days during all waking hours (minus shower or swimming). I think this may kick my rear back into gear, because I don't want to appear to be a lazy bones. It already forced me to get up early before work & walk dog today. Helped that weather is gorgeous, not hot or humid or windy. Fingers crossed!About me: CarmelaWord for 2022: Tenacity ~ persistent determination; the mental strength to resist opposition, danger or hardship

Yesterday was long but good. Hubby and I went out for pub trivia. I stayed on plan and drank only water AND I had a salad, not a calzone. Needless to say, no laundry got done.
Found out hubby likely tore his rotator cuff.
Tonight is my MIL birthday, and we totally forgot. Gotta stop somewhere on the way to dinner and get a thoughtful meaningful gift... Yeah really dropped the ball on this one! Oh well, it is what it is. Dinner there will likely not be on my healthy food plan, but I'm sure it will be good. I'm totally not going to offend her on her birthday!
JFT Thursday

Getting ready to leave for a week vacation. I won't post JFT, but will do hour commitments as needed.
Hour commitment - After my green beans, I won't eat again until after 5 pm. None of the same foods at dinner at lunch. Can still have dose of metamusal.
1 -
Having a good food day so far. So good I was able to have rice and mini naan with my curry for dinner and still got plenty of calories to spare. Which means I could have myself a bedtime snack if I wish! Although I'm still gonna try keep it healthy. I've been doing so well! Not had crisps for 3 days which is just unheard of 🤣🤣
I've randomly got into the swing of logging again and posting daily. Just outta nowhere. Maybe I was overthinking it before. Or im fully committed to change, finally. X2 -
I did get to ride horseback, so that's good. I got into the candy so that's bad. But my calories will be fine if I stop eating now for the night. I can do this, I have done it before!

Goal for today is to log all my food and drink 48 oz of water. So far I’m only at 22 oz. Overall calorie count continues to be much lower than I’d like because I just don’t have an appetite when I’m stressed. Torn between working the weekend to keep stress levels lower for next week, or using the weekend to catch up on household chores, get my creative writing business off the ground and maybe find a few minutes to breathe. Hopefully things will be a little smoother as July ends and a new month begins.1

Been a really long week and it is finishing with an excruciating day. Not really, more like an overwhelming day. There is just too much that needs to get done. I decided to take 10-15 to chill before I take my 2 hour Lead Auditor Exam. The class was good, but these tests are tough because they are tricky. I wish I had taken the test right after class, but there were things at work that needed immediate attention. I think I have everything under control for a few hours so I can get this test over with.

Have a good day everyone!! X
Had an okay day today. Got my 8 waters in, just! And logged all my food. Apart from maybe a swig of chocolate milk 😂
I was ready by 1pm to go visit my friend for her birthday. But she and my other friend weren't ready til 5pm. And cause I tend to plan my day in my head that was a bit of a curveball as I didn't know whether to do the kids tea before or after. I did it after when we got home at 7. They had drink and snack at my friend's. It was really nice to see them. Its weird from going walking every day with them to school seeing them 5 times a week and then basically not at all. We speak every day though lol.
I was too tired after all that anyway 5pm is normally my "crash" time where my energys been spent. So I was absolutely shattered by bed time. So I didn't exercise. And I did have only 2 bed time snacks. 3 pieces of salami and a pack of crisps. Now this isn't "over snacking" but it means I ate more calories than I liked.
Plus I broke my "no crisps" streak. However. I needed it. I really did lol
But here's to a better day, although I woke up at 11am and had to apologize to the girls for not getting up sooner. They said it was fine though but they were a bit hungry. Feel bad. But I was out like a log.
I've slept 10 and half hours and stil feel tired. Just how?1 -
Oh yeah, goals. Sorry just realised I proper rambled on in my last post 😂

Hour commitment - I won’t eat again until DH wants lunch.
I get such guilt feelings when I have to eat out all the time because I don’t know the true calories, there’s too much salt, and I do consume more calories. I’m always afraid all my weight is going to fly back on. .. and it was such a struggle to lose it. (And it’s so much harder at 64). Anyway, just thought I’d write it down. Most of our vacations we walk so much and I don’t really just “let go” that I come back the same or just a couple of pounds up which is usually just salt. Anyway, I want to give myself permission to try to enjoy my trip with my husband and my dogs and not be moody around food issues. I feel like such a nut sometimes.1 -

ACK! Yesterday, supervisor overheard me complaining about her to my favorite co-worker (I can be so stupid) & emailed me to let me know. She cc'd our manager & dept. admin. WTH?!? Before I was able to see supervisor (we MUST respect closed office door!), I apologized face to face to manager, who seemed to take it in stride. At end of work day, finally I had my chance and apologized face to face to supervisor, in presence of manager... supervisor thanked me for apologizing but her response was glacial, while manager seemed chill. Oh well. As hubby says, I did what I could. Counting down days to retirement this fall. If I last that long.About me: CarmelaWord for 2022: Tenacity ~ persistent determination; the mental strength to resist opposition, danger or hardship
