Did Biggest Loser the Workout and then some pilates and then took my walk around the block. Walked around the house and only 2 of the ceramics were knocked over from the rain last night. I was surprised how many of the neighbors had leaves and mulch strewn about. Work tomorrow then will go to ceramics at night. I’m thinking that I’ll get a bottle of the black paint and use that at home while they are closed during the week.

Heather – what a good sport Johnny is to allow himself to get dressed up;. Max looks so grown up

Baking more of the banana chocolate chip cookies. Colby seems to like them

Anne DE – happy birthday to your father. You’re so good to your parents

Lisa – oh Levi!!! Those eyes. I remember when they put the drywall up in our detached garage. One of the guys was on stilts! I could never do that

Barbie — Thank you for our new thread. I am happy to see our friends here.

My life has been a stress festival. DH was in the hospital for several months due to a life threatening heart attack. He has been in a skilled nursing facility and was discharged a few days ago. We flew to Illinois and are living at our daughter’s home. We are lucky to be here.

I hope to be here as often as I can.

    Katla

So glad to hear, keep us posted

Well tomorrow is a new month. Kirby has been having some problems with one of his feet but we still walk yogi his 6 miles daily. He’s taking care of it, don’t worry. I suggested he can ride his bike outside meanwhile I can walk yogi at a faster pace. He can ride 3 days while I walk and I will ride 3 and he can walk yogi. This way it will give his foot a break at the same time. We haven’t ridden outside since we’ve been here because we are walking yogi. He took our bikes to get tuned up and we got our helmets out and recharged our batteries and we are ready to go. We both miss the road and it will b nice to change things up a bit.

I forgot to tell a cute little Michaela story.
She for some reason loves gardening. It doesn’t come from her Mother or I that’s for sure.
She has 6 little plants she planted from seed this Spring and they have bloomed. They left to go camping for a week today and she had her Mother text me to see if I will go take care of her plants this week.
They live 20 minutes away, but I have to go into the city on Wednesday so I’ll check them then.
If she hadn’t decided this after they were on the road they would have dropped the plants off here. I hope they are good on Wednesday and I’ll bring them home with me.

Katla – I know you’re so happy to have your dh. I didn’t realize that he was out of the nursing home and with you. How great is that?

Work tomorrow...boo no exercise. But at least we have ceramics at night. Why I didn’t think of this before is beyond me. But what I think I’ll do is order a bottle of the black paint and work with that color while at home when they are closed. So that’s something I need to do tomorrow

I can’t believe it’s august already. Thank you barbie. Where did the summer go? It goes by too fast for me. Winter just seems to drag on and on (except when we go to FL – then it goes by too fast)

Tracey – love the china cabinet. Really like the brown against the white. You are as creative as pip. It seems that lately Jess has gotten into gardening. Or at least she’s showing an interest. She wants me to garden. Well, if she wants to see something that is dead I’m the person she can go to….lol

Got my walk in tonight. Jess left to go back to Raleigh. Colby and Shadow are still here. It seems that they'll get their place earlier. We're supposed to go up Sunday. When Jess asked if we were coming up, Vince mentioned that "what she really means is 'will we help move'" But she told him "no", which I'm not complaining about. We're going to go up Sunday. I don't work on Sun, but I know that if I needed to go up earlier, I can just give them extra prep and then go up. But then we'd have to get someone to give Loki his med. Personally, I think he'd be OK with traveling up there, but Vince doesn't think so. It seems that lately Loki has been going into the room where Shadow is and there's no hissing, which is a good sign.

    Well, off to beddy bye

That was a quick post, because Waitrose arrived dead on 7 am. :D All put away now. The poor woman had to negotiate all around the pavement works to get to our front door. We have put the dustbins out halfway down the road!

    Thank you Barbie!

Levi is growing so fast, Lisa. <3 Oh my word! I felt so sad when Bea left the baby stage and there is a short time when they get frustrated with their own babyness, especially if they have older siblings, but that time has passed now and she is a joy. The family are taking their first 'road trip' this August, because she is older now. They will be touring Slovenia for two weeks, staying in four different places, mountains, lakes, etc. That would have been torture when they were younger.
I still miss a baby to cuddle, though. :'(

Good Morning from a sunny York

Thanks Barbie for setting up a new month - August already, the months are flying by.

My aim for this month is to be more positive, I feel as if I have let negativity hold me back. I'm always looking for things to go wrong, I never used to be like this.

I also want to get healthier, treat my body like a temple (and not a dustbin!) I'm sick of feeling tired, fat and frumpy!

    Katla Good news

    Pip Love the new rug

Tracey My mum's TENS doesn't have pads, it looks like a pen, you put the end on where the pain is and press and hold the clicker (like a ball point pen) and leave it for 30 seconds. I'll have to try and take a photo .

More I wanted to say, but if I don't move now my knee will seize up completely.

Take care and love to all <3

Welcome, Stacey from Maryland! We are glad you have joined us. Great goals, by the way.

Viv, I like your new goals: "be more positive" & "treat my body like a temple"...they resonate with me, too!

I am rejoicing that Katla and her husband are together and safely with loving family. Joy!
