    I took my son out to a local restaurant last night mainly because I felt sorry for myself. Just being honest. We even split a dessert. Food doesn’t fix anything, of course, it’s just a band-aid.


    Dear Donna (@deepwoodslady), I don't know about you, but I do require assistance from band-aids once in a while (metaphorical and non). You keep on doing you. I am proud of you!

    Hi, all! I am a 2x cancer survivor dealing with Hypothyroidism, early Menopause, and Plantar Fasciitis, trying to lose weight to feel stronger, keep up with my kids, and hopefully be able to find clothes that work with my body's shape post-mastectomy and four pregnancies/three c-sections.

    January Starting Weight: 194.7
    February Starting Weight: 196.1
    March Starting Weight: 189.8
    April Starting Weight: 187.0
    May Starting Weight: 185.8
    June Starting Weight:
    July Starting Weight: 190.7
    August Starting Weight: 190.1

    Goals: Plan and Log all food, Quit sugary drinks, Manage midnight eating, increase gym time, stretch.

    08/01: 190.1 - Mindful midnight eating.
    08/02: 188.7 - Went swimming. Limited my iced tea/lemonade consumption to 1 glass at work.
    08/03: 190.1 - Later dinner with family, heavy carbs in that meal, stress ate before bed. Sigh.
    08/04: 188.6 - Stayed within my calories.
    08/05: 190.0 - Came home from busy day at work to dinner made by my hubby. I thought I could "guestimate" the calories since I was starving, but once I went back and entered everything that was on that dish, I was way over calories.
    08/06: 190.5 - Still combating late night hunger/cravings.

    Just started today as I moved to a new environment and realized I gained another 15pounds while I dealt with family vacation, move across ocean, and kids out of school.
    I need community, accountability and I am here to find joy and wins in the process.

    08/06-198.8-(Trend Weight 201.0)- Pizza last night. It didn’t show up on the scale but I suspect it will very very soon. I’m very tired today most likely from bad food. It’s going to be 92 degrees today and I have no air conditioning. Oh Joy! I’ll keep myself and cats as cool as possible with the fans. I trapped as much night air inside as I possibly could last night. Re: Surgery, I had a little chest pain in bed last night but really more like soreness/healing type of pain, not heart attack kind of pain. Otherwise, I'm feeling pretty good. I’m just thrilled to be back in Onederland.

    08/07-198.2-(Trend Weight 200.7)- Glucose has remained very high these past few days (since surgery). Logging every bite the last few so I know I’m not missing anything and weight is dropping. Why so high? I don’t get it! The only change is the lack of exercise until I am allowed. But I am moving pretty steady with simple housecleaning, stretches etc. Baffled!

    My goal this month is to maintain weight as well as increase activity. I will be moving at some point this month so I will be doing a lot of packing. Have been waiting for a definite start date on a new job, but they are still going through the process of doing background checks and such. I currently work for the State and have been accepted for another position with the State. Unfortunately, they won't just open my personnel file and retrieve the information they already have, they are doing it all over again from scratch. It has been over a month since they began. It's very frustrating. Anyway, somehow I am hoping to find time to increase workouts/walks while packing and preparing for a wedding.

    8/04: 128.0 (129.2 trend) surprised by this. Sodium intake was high, but I did try to drink lots of water.
