Jogged 3km for the first time in a few years then other day. Not bad going for a guy who's still 350lbs...29

After 12 days getting out of isolation after finally testing negative. Yes. I've felt pretty good for 6 days but could not pass a test to prove it. Today I am going to workout at about 75-80% and see how I feel.
Better news is I barely put on any weight the last 2 weeks despite not exercising for the most part.22 -
Just finished my first extended fast ( I usually eat OMAD) of 69 hours. I initially planned on only doing 47 hours but I wasn’t hungry so continued until I was.
Food tastes soo good after fasting! It’s seems like tastebuds reset.

I rested my face on my hand yesterday and realized how different it felt, so much smaller. So I took a picture of my face and compared it to a few months ago. Yep - it is smaller 😀. And my eyes are so much bigger now. So much fun seeing these changes.27

yesterday I accidentally hiked a lot longer than I meant to, and I *enjoyed* it. Didn't start internally whining I was going to die until I was back on the road walking uphill back to my car that was much farther from the trailhead than I thought. (I think someone moved it about twenty miles farther away while I was hiking.)27

I haven't binged in 37 days! I've had a few over my budget days but I wouldn't call them binges so I'm really proud of myself!29

In early May when I was cleaning out my closet I came across 2 pairs of size 16 Levis from 10 years ago that I had grown out of but saved for whatever reason. I tried them on at the time and they were still much too tight so I stuck them back in a drawer thinking that I might be able to wear them this fall.
It was way too hot over the summer to even think of wearing jeans so I forgot about them until Monday, when we were going to a Labor Day cookout and it was cold and rainy. I pulled them out thinking I might be able to wear a pair..... they were too big on me!33 -

I was recently CRAVING a fresh banana shake--it's been years since I've had one. I looked up the calories and saw that I had room in my budget for half the calories. I bought the shake, immediately poured out half, and enjoyed the other half.13 -

I love this!! I have started doing this kind of thing when I’m really craving something. Recently we had a work meeting where someone brought in Crumbl cookies. (IYKYK!) They had the chocolate mint brownie one which is essentially the most perfect dessert on the planet, and after the meeting no one else would take it. So I took it home, cut it into quarters, and put it in the freezer. Now and then when I’m craving it, I eat a quarter which is 190 kcal. Hits the spot every time.16 -
I have lost 18 pounds since mid-May. Yesterday for the first time in years, I wore a pair of pants in a non-plus size.37

Every morning after breakfast, the High Anxiety Dog and I walk to the (town) Square in hopes of spotting squirrels and giving chase. There haven’t been many lately because of a large hawk living on the courthouse, so any sighting is cause for wild doggy celebration.
This morning we saw three. O, Happy Day!!!!!
We chased them (meaning HAD ran wildly, dragging me with him) all over the Square until they were treed and chattering angrily at us.
My NSV is that I realized, instead of being winded and gasping for air after reckless sprinting, I was pumped for more! 😂

Three months ago I had a Dr appt and was faced with the facts that I was fat AND it was starting to affect my health. Some of my lab results were not good. I took it seriously and I made lifestyle changes. I dropped 20 lbs during that time and I am SO happy to announce that ALL of my labs were in the desired range at my follow up appointment yesterday. The nurse asked me how I did it 😀. I still have work ahead of me but the fact that I have improved my health is a BIG victory for me.36

This gives me hope. I have labs in a month. I have lost 34 pounds in the last 6 months since my last labs. I am hoping that weight puts everything into good range again. I am so anxious to see these results. But, in the mean time, I can do a bit more work. I still have 20 pounds to go. I can't knock that out in a month but I can make a dent.
On another note, I have been wearing the same skirt most days now because most of my pants and shorts are too much of a pain to wear because doing farm chores while trying to hold your pants up isn't easy. I am a women who used to never wear dresses or skirts. I had decided that once my weight was gone, I am going to get all dresses and skirts. Having not been in one for so long, wearing it at first was really really weird. Now, I just don't even know why I never wore them...they are so freaking comfortable! Anyway, I need more skirts and dresses. Just waiting on fundage right now and a few more pounds to drop so I don't have to buy more later. Until then, I'll just do laundry, a lot 😆14 -
I ordered a pair of size 22 jeans... they fit! In fact, I think I could get into a 20. I remember having to lay down to zip up a pair of size 28 jeans years ago and being in pain the whole time I had them on. I stopped wearing them after that. It feels good to be comfortable in clothes again.26

Well, guys, I’m down over 100 pounds on here and closer to down 120 from my highest weight ( scale related & not the NSV, just a reference point) and this morning, my husband said “you’ve got a whole new body. You have literally transformed yourself entirely. You are working so hard and you are doing it! I’m so proud of you “ and he just went on and on. That’s the NSV. I don’t talk about it and I’m sure he doesn’t know the actual number of pounds I’m down or anything like that , but it just felt amazing to hear.
I do have major health issues and I’m quite literally fighting for my life so regardless of anyones support, I am doing this. I’m getting healthy and I’m getting fit. Period. But….having my husband gushing over me was lovely.
Just keep going.16 -
That’s just awesome! I have a similar NSV. I got on the treadmill the other day and right in the middle of my display was a little yellow post-it with a note on it saying “U R doing great - XO”. That was so sweet of my husband! He hasn’t left me a little note like that in years. I’m glad I’m finally giving him something to be proud of me for after spending 10 years not taking care of myself as he watched helpless to motivate me to get control of myself.10
