I need to tighten my smart watch by one notch!12

I worked the dinner service in the kitchen at work the last 2 nights. The first night I went over my desired calories but still managed a decent Deficit. Yesterday I promised myself no bingeing at work no matter how good the food looked. So at the beginning of my shift I saw what was available, made my choice of what I was going to eat for dinner and stuck to it. It was not easy, especially with the cheese platter, slices, dessert and ice cream all calling my name. But the proud feeling I got when I finished the shift without going into the usual “I have to try everything mode” that I get into when I work in the kitchen was totally worth it. And because I started later it meant I could ride longer yesterday morning so I burnt extra calories. When I got home and realised how many extra calories I had, I indulge in a chewy caramel Tim Tam and enjoyed every bite! (Instead of shovelling something down at work because I didn’t have time to actually sit and enjoy the flavour.
I must say that I’m happy to be back in housekeeping today away from the temptations23 -
I walked out of my pants on Saturday night. Walked up the stairs for bed and by the time I put my water down by my bed side they dropped to my ankles. Although it's awesome it was also sad because they are almost brand new.15

Since joining the gym eight weeks ago I have been wearing a very baggy tunic and sweatpants for group classes. This week I switched to a new T-shirt and fitted pants. A genuinely lovely and supportive old guy in my class came up and said, "Hey! You got rid of your poncho!!! Nice work!!!!!"20

yesterday was a *horrible* day. I went in search of comfort food. Someone gave me Jack in the Box tacos she had extra from her lunch. I took two bites and decided I didn't want them--I wanted something sweet. So I told myself that after work, on my way to an appt, I would get a strawberry shake. If I'm going for comfort food, dangit, I want to ENJOY it.
On leaving work, I decided I didn't have time to go out of my way for the shake. Instead I'd go to DQ and get a blizzard after my appt.
During my appt I realized that while a Blizzard would only put me some three hundred calories over if i ate it in place of dinner, then I'd probably get hungry for dinner! so I ended up getting a Thai salad from Salad and Go. I felt comforted (got to buy food, and it was delicious food!) and I only came in 62 calories over (mango ginger cooler, extra peanut butter dressing) I had told myself i'd go get a Blizzard still if I wanted one--but by the time i was done with the salad and settled in at home, I did not want to go out again.
that feels like such a huge win for me.34 -
Bought new cycling shorts in June because the ones I already have nearly cut off circulation around my knee (there's a strip to prevent them from riding up), so I couldn't wear them any more. Paid a hefty fat tax as only the most expensive model the store had in the biggest size would fit me.
Two days ago I wanted to go on a ride, but my fancy new bike pants are in the wash, so I put on the old ones and they fit! Possibly better than then I originally bought them as they've always been tight.13 -
I stepped on the scale and I've lost 41 pounds! I've never be able to stick to a diet but mfp makes is so much easier to keep track and not give up.20

After 8 months of debilitating pain in my lower back, last week I had the first of 2 injections in my back. I went back to the gym this past Sunday and yesterday. I look forward to going again tomorrow. I'm beginning to feel like my old self again. I'm loving it!16

When I went to work today, my boss only made fun of my weight 2 times today instead of the usual 3 or 4. I am truly blessed!25

i've had four days of just not caring much about what I ate. I don't really know why--I just...ate what I wanted. I didn't get down on myself, I did try to make healthier choices, but I wasn't anywhere close to my budget, and probably over maintenance too (I didn't fully track.) I tried to halt it after day one, day two, day three...then last night, I convinced myself to spend half an hour prepping some mason jar salads and overnight oatmeal. and BAM! I'm right back on today.
I *am* back on plan. and I didn't beat myself up or stress about it. I just had my fun then went back to what will now be normal for me.22 -
Only been at it for real now for seven days, and today I noticed that I could keep my pace up for 17 minutes without looking at my watch and feeling like I was dying waiting for my time to stop-I was aiming for 15 minutes and hadn't even noticed that I had gone past.14

This was my thought as well! This definitely sounds like an HR issue! Or it's simply time to speak to an attorney because that's harassment.4 -
Well, I have no idea what size I am. I am down to only a couple pairs of jeans and my size 16s are very baggy. I saw a size 12 on the clearance rack for $11, which you can’t really beat that, right? They fit! 😀
Guys.. there was a time I would buy the biggest size I could find at Walmart and just hope for the best. Sometimes it feels surreal.
Just keep going.19 -

I totally feel this - I am anywhere from a 2X to a L depending on the cut of the shirt. Not that I'm complaining, but the days of just grabbing something off the rack "in my size" are over.5 -
I am thinking of signing up for a 10k. I've ran a few 5k races with varying degrees of success in terms of my pace. While I will never be a "fast" runner, I've seen my pace drop by over 35 seconds over the last couple of months. My NSV - I ran 3 miles at a 10:30 pace the other day. I was completely floored that I not only broke 11 minutes, I crushed it!23

Awesome job! You should sign up for it! It will be a new challenge for you to achieve.2 -

Yeah, I have NO idea what’s happening now either. I was so used to shopping at one store! Thank god for yoga pants!

I mowed my front lawn without taking a break. My lawnmower is not self-propelled. I used to need two breaks to do the front.22

For the second time in two weeks, I ran into a friend I've known for at least 8 years... "Did you change your hair? You look different!" Well yeah I've changed my hair (took advantage of COVID time and grew out my natural grey hair) but more importantly, I've lost 30+ pounds!15

I feel this! I guess this is a NSV for me as I mentally connected the dots reading your post. When I would mop or wash the dishes, I used to have to sit down just for 30 seconds to take the weight off my back. It always felt like it was going to break, I would say...let me sit to stretch my back in the other direction. Yesterday, I spent the entire day outside putzing around, trimming landscape and other light yard work and I only sat for about 30 minutes while I ate lunch.21
