9/14- 128.8. 💪🏻✏️⏱ Third day at this weight. I have been SO hungry for the past few days. Not sure if it’s the changing weather, adjusting my calorie goal down, or what. But I’m proud of myself for stopping eating at 7:30 yesterday. I wanted to eat everything in the house. Hoping to be less hungry today. So far so good.
9/15 - 128.8. 💪🏻✏️⏱ 🚫 4th day at this weight but it isn't surprising. I am wanting to eat everything. I need to make some more satisfying food choices.
9/16 - 129.2. 💪🏻✏️⏱ Not surprised. I've been pretty much breaking even every day calorie-wise. I don't know why. I guess my body is really wanting to get back to its set point. It was easy for a while but now that I'm getting closer to goal it's getting harder every day. Today is really rough otherwise because my youngest is home from daycare. He threw up overnight but seems fine other than some snot, so at least our weekend won't be impacted much as long as he stays the course. I had a productive day at work yesterday so at least I was kind of sort of caught up!

9/15 120.0 We went to Great Greek yesterday. I ate 1/4 pita. Talked with daughter about gluten, she and both of her girls have tried to eliminate it due to the inflammation and bloating. Since I avoid bread in general, I guess I have also pretty much eliminated gluten.

@quiltingjaine No. Definitely hungry after a big scale drop. Body trying to sustain weight when I'm trying to lose. How dare it!!!! LOL. I also wake up so hungry if I've eaten too late. Seems like I'd be full still but it's the opposite. I just ignore it and enjoy my coffee. The liquid helps fill me up and allows me to IF, sometimes for a long time, sometimes for a few extra hours (it depends if my sugar drops when I'm not eating.). I love breakfast foods but tend to have them more for dinner. I'm not big on cooking or eating the minute I get up!5 -

9/14: 131.4 - Normal workouts and packed most of my calories at the end of the day (not intentional). Stayed up reading way too late, so not that much sleep. I was supposed to get my Covid booster shot today, but the pharmacy cancelled saying they hadn’t received any doses yet. Trying to get it done in time before we travel in October.
9/15: 132.1 - Ended up getting my booster shot when my husband went in for his shot. They were nice enough to squeeze me in. He must not have any side-effects since I hear him exercising right now. I, on the other hand, am doing my best impression of a slug.
9/16: 132.1 - Was down and out all day yesterday with a slight fever and aches so didn’t get any exercise in. Wasn’t all that hungry either until evening. Feeling much better today.
9/17: 131.8 - Another skipped day of working out. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t do any workouts 2 days in a row. Back at it though this morning.
9/18: 131.8 - Back on track again. Got my workouts in, good eating and pretty good sleep. My goal is to keep this up the rest of the round before we head off backpacking when things won’t be as routine.
9/19: 131.4 - Only did Jazzercise in the morning but did not get my walk in since it was raining off and on here. Eating choices were limited since we were in desperate need of a trip to the grocery store. I don’t usually like to go on the weekends to avoid the crowds, but we didn’t have a single thing green left in the refrigerator other than herbs. Luckily, unbeknownst to me, the local NFL football team was playing at the same time I went to Trader Joe’s, so it wasn’t too crowded. :-)

The last two months have been incredibly stressful and busy both at work and at home, and something had to give…unfortunately it ended up being these daily check-ins. But I did stay on plan most of the time, and I’m proud of that. Meals for today are planned and logged, and I’ll work out before handbell rehearsal tonight.
9/15 215.8 Surprising drop considering I barely slept last night, but I’ll take it. We are going on a Mediterranean cruise in late October for our 30th anniversary and I’m aiming for 210 by then. Don’t know if I’ll make it or not, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Meals for today are planned and logged, and I’m going to move my workout to lunchtime in hopes it gives me energy to get through the afternoon. ‘Cause I’m kinda dragging, not gonna lie.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I have done this challenge before and it really helped keep me on track to healthy living. I have since gained most of that weight back (and then some) but I'm not discouraged. 9/15 / 170.4 / Had a good day exploring Sidney yesterday with family and new friends. Today we are going over to my husband's cousin's house for french toast and then we are going to Butchart Gardens.
9/16 / 170.8 / We are on our way East slowly making our way back home by Sunday, but first we stop in Penticton, BC for two nights. On the road now after a fun day that started with high tea, a bus tour around Victoria, and then the ferry ride back to the mainland.

9/15 - 150 - I've been working really hard to get at least 10,000 steps in a day the past couple weeks. That includes joining our county metroparks hiking spree and walking in place at my desk. It has not helped with my weight loss as much as I would have liked, but I am really enjoying getting the extra movement in my daily life.
9/16 - 149.5 - Husband and I walked a 2 mile moderate trail yesterday evening. I am feeling it in my legs this morning. It is a good feeling though.
9/17 - 150 - I had 2 small pieces of pizza last night, so I'm assuming this is sodium. We're planning another hike for today.
9/18 - 150.5 - Went hiking yesterday and got in my 10,000 steps. I've logged all my food this week and have stayed within my weight loss ranges. This has to be more sodium from the steak we had last night. Nothing to do but keep trying. We're going to our local zoo this morning to take a mile and a half walk and check out the animals.
9/19 - 149.5 - After the zoo yesterday, I took two more walks at my local park to get in my steps.
9/20 - 150.5 - I have stayed within my food macros, my calories, and stayed active for the past week. Today I have colonoscopy prep, so if my weight is not down tomorrow, I may have a temper tantrum.

9/5: 169.8 did not log meals yesterday because of the cookout. 99% of the food was especially bad for someone dieting. there was a charcuterie board that had a little corner of strawberries, everything else high fat/high carbs/high calories. my little dip in weight is probably from mega stress i've been trying to deal with which slammed my emotions hard yesterday. this morning the coping skills back in check. i haven't been able to go for walks for some time now. Dr. tells me it's sciatica, but i've had constant pain for over a year now. the pain flares up to a point that i just don't want to move at all. taking anti inflammatory and muscle relaxers is not helping, and my follow-up is not until the 29th. i may end up trying to see him again sooner.

9/14- 128.8. 💪🏻✏️⏱ Third day at this weight. I have been SO hungry for the past few days. Not sure if it’s the changing weather, adjusting my calorie goal down, or what. But I’m proud of myself for stopping eating at 7:30 yesterday. I wanted to eat everything in the house. Hoping to be less hungry today. So far so good.

It was easy for a while but now that I'm getting closer to goal it's getting harder every day. Today is really rough otherwise because my youngest is home from daycare. He threw up overnight but seems fine other than some snot, so at least our weekend won't be impacted much as long as he stays the course. It’s a gorgeous Saturday and I have roses to plant. I’ve gone a bit rose crazy this summer—highly recommend Heirloom Roses! I’ve been ordering from them and am very happy with what they send! Anyway, mucking around in the garden keeps me from eating, so my report is relevant. 😁 Enjoy your day!

Got lots of walking on rough ground last night teaching a tracking class and then running my pup on a long track, then really bad foot cramps when I went to bed. I have to remember to take my magnesium! I’ve been slacking off. Also need to stretch more—my legs and feet feel tight. But it was a lovely evening and it was great to be out in the open for a couple of hours with people and dogs. Lots of fun!

@deepwoodslady Donna, I have never been a breakfast person but as a kid I “had” to. Now, with no guilt trip laid on, I BREAK my FAST when my body tells me. I’ve also learned that if I eat too late, I wake hungry. That said, I have somewhat fallen off of my own wagon and need to get my own act together. We can do it with each other’s support.5

09/19 -197.8- (Trend weight 198.5) Hmph….Best day in a long time. Dietary was perfect. Added some exercise yesterday including a hike along the river with my son. I didn’t understand the big drop yesterday so I suppose this big increase today is a balancing of the books. I did about half my usual hike. When I got to the biggest hill I had to turn around as my breathing was already labored. But it felt great to get out in the woods and on the trail. I would push water today but when I do it just pools at my ankles and doesn’t help the scale. But it does help with my frequent dehydration so……. Choices, choices.
09/20 -199.0- (Trend weight 198.6) Definitely taking my water pill today. Couldn’t yesterday due to having to run too many errands. Ankles are tight and shiny. Weight is up on the scale. Bad sleep last night, not feeling so hot today. Travel tomorrow to the hospital for some testing. I’ll be getting a Doppler on my legs to check for blockages due to their inability to get a pulse in my left foot and symptoms showing up in my right. I will also be getting another EKG because my breathing has not improved since the stent was placed in my heart. They are doublechecking blood flow before my pulmonary testing in Oct. I am not going to let my health stop me, instead I am letting it motivate me.

9/14 119.0 Finally TMI relief after several days of stress but I ate a small churro with OMAD. Post op doc for DH this morning.
9/15 120.0 We went to Great Greek yesterday. I ate 1/4 pita. Talked with daughter about gluten, she and both of her girls have tried to eliminate it due to the inflammation and bloating. Since I avoid bread in general, I guess I have also pretty much eliminated gluten.
9/16 119.0 Brunch with DD#1 and my BFF. DD flew home last night arriving at her car at about 10:30 then driving almost an hour home.
