    My start weight today is 189 lbs. My goal is to get back to 180 lbs.

    September 7: 186 lbs. Wednesday regular weigh-in. So down 3lbs have 6 more to go.

    No typo. How do I gain 9lbs in less than 48 hours. Food intake the same. This can be so discouraging. I am lost for words.

    I am late to the game, but weigh every day due to heart failure and fluid issues. I am finally making a daily weight check part of my morning routine (It had been doctors advice for a couple of years now but I just could not get in the routine of it)

    For reference, I am 55f, 5'11" tall, and August 1st got back to a low carb menu in my house after losing a bunch and gaining it back 2 years ago.

My heart failure can give my weight a swing of sometimes 3-8 pounds in a week. Laying off the salt and staying on track for the weekend. (Hurricane Fiona headed for us but we are outside the cone)

    09/22-199.2-(Trend Weight 198.6)- Home today so hopefully I will keep the diet reigned in. More travel tomorrow is expected if my special order from Home Depot arrives at store. My older girlfriend will travel with me and I will take her shopping while out of town. I am so glad to see I am staying in Onederland, even in spite of everything. Very motivating! I ended up having an echocardiogram (ultra sound of heart) yesterday. I had it all mixed up (thought it was just an EKG) so there will likely be more answers coming. Also had the leg dopplers. I await results.

Danced 4 songs yesterday (carefully) and rode the exercise bike for a bit. Meals were good but I ate an extra one last night with extreme hunger. It showed up. It’s such a tattle-tale.

    My name is Ian and I am a 62 year old male from the Midlands of the UK. I am 6' 0" tall. I have a number of health conditions which prevent me from doing aerobic exercise and I take medication which as a side effect lowers my metabolic rate and increases my feelings of hunger. I can't walk so use a mobility scooter. As a result my weight loss depends totally on calorie intake reduction.

    My Goals

    My initial target is 100kg by the end of October, to move from obese to simply overweight. I would like to get my waist size below 40" too. My calorie intake target to achieve that is 1,200 - 1,300 calories/day.

    For September my goal is 101.8kg, a loss of 1.8kg (0.45kg or 1 lb/week), and a waist size of 42.5"

    Another difficult day yesterday. Consumed a lot of carbs. It appears I’ve put on a kilo in four days. Just praying that its due to carb intake and that I’ll lose it over next few days. Otherwise net loss for month is only 0.2kg ☹️.

    Been adding weight lifting to my walking and seems to be helping bc I actually upped my calories by 200 ish, and finally started losing more weight. I also cut out my cheat meal on Sundays. I’m happy with a 3 lb weight loss for a week.

    My name is Ashley, I'm 35 years old, and in early 2021 I weighed 293 pounds.
    I'm now in my maintenance range (160-165). I have learned so much about myself through this process!

    Sep 1 - 163 (I knew I had a long day at work so I got up before 5 to ride the Peloton. Work did go late, but I managed to fit a dog walk and a strength session in tonight as well. Feels good!)
    Sep 2 - 163.8 (Checking in from the back seat of my vehicle as we drive across two provinces of Canada to get to my Aunt's wedding.)
    Sep 3 - 162.8 (Hotel breakfast and then I hit the hotel gym for a treadmill session. Lunch was fairly indulgent and there is a reasonable amount of alcohol around for pre-wedding socializing. Trying to pace myself.)

    Sep 6 - 165.6 (We had a fantastic time at the wedding. Definitely ate and drank way too much BUT that's the good thing about daily weighing.. doesn't turn into a 3 month binge. Tomorrow we start driving west for my husband's bike race but we are breaking that drive up so tomorrow and Thursday's jaunts won't be such long days. Lots of car time means when I'm out of it I need to be moving!)
    Sep 7- 165.2 (Today we are driving west to Kamloops, BC. We are on our way to Vancouver for my husband's Gran Fondo on Saturday. I just had a diner meal that was much heavier than my normal choices. Getting a bit caught up in vacation mode decision making.)
    Sep 8 - 167 (Up and on the road again this afternoon. Almost in Vancouver. Tonight is the Bills home opener so we are going to go out to watch the game.)
    Sep 9 - 168.6 (We watched the Bills win and then went out for supper to an Italian restaurant. I track on holiday so the weight going up is expected based on the overconsumption. Unfortunately yesterday was a day of low movement as well.)
    Sep 10 - 171.4 (Started the day with a 60 minute Peloton app ride on the gym bike. Then I drove from Vancouver to Whistler in insanely bad traffic to cheer my husband on as he completed his second Gran Fondo of the season. We had an absolutely delicious meal out. The restaurant food has been very indulgent this trip.)
    Sep 11 - DNW (ATV trip today. Enjoying coffee on our patio before we go.)
    Sep 12 - DNW (Today we leave Whistler and head towards Victoria for a funeral tomorrow. We will see what activities we get up to on the way.)

    Mary 65 from Pennsylvania. Goal weight 122 lbs. Was there in 2009/10 and kept it off for about 5 years and got lazy. I do low Carb 15+/- 3 Net Carbs/day(My body seems to hang on to Carbs/not burn them),1000-1200 calories daily, 2 meals on my days off(3) and 3 meals on my work days (4, long hours) and I only exercise on my days off due to the long work days.

    9/1/22- 175.2 lbs Here's to a better Autumn!
    9/2/22- 179.4 lbs :-( How one day can be such a big jump, must be water retention. Only 45 minutes/3.41 miles on my Elliptical. It kept seizing up on me. Hadn't happened before till 2-3 hours in. Guess it's about dead! Checked out another store today with ellipticals. Looked at Octane and Spirit brands today. Previously looked at PreCor and Matrix. Any insight from any of you would be appreciated. The repair guy that had come out 10 days ago said they see many repair needs on Matrix and very early on, that they shouldn't. And long waits for parts on them.

    9/4/22- 175 lbs 45 minutes on my elliptical while my roasted butternut squash was roasting. At a wedding today. Tried to be pretty careful and only take a taste of some of the items. Was a impromptu wedding, planned a couple weeks ago for a girl from work, who has been with her beau for 10 years. We all brought a side dish to share. It was very nice for going from a original zoom wedding a few weeks ago to this with a 5-10 minute discussion at a summer work party. As others have said, these things are hard to calculate calories. But I think I did fairly good other than the piece of cake. But you have to have some wedding cake!
    9/5/22- 177.2 lbs :-( Stayed true to my plan today. Wanted something sweet so I grabbed a keto chocolate hazelnut cup to stay on point.
    9/6/22- 176.2 lbs Still keeping on track. Did my Elliptical for 181 minutes/13.2 miles today. It hasn't bit the dust yet. Some squeaking but only occasionally. After a appointment at 3, I went out comparing different ellipticals. I need to get a new one sooner than later before it totally dies on me.

    9/24/22- 184 lbs :-( I've fallen off again as you can see. Elliptical today, (my screechy one) 180 minutes for 12.01 miles.
    Yesterday no elliptical but I did go shopping for a new one. Christian's Fitness Factory in Lancaster, PA, that buys, re-furbishes and re-sells, gently used, gym quality equipment, just off lease &/or gym closures, and ships all over the country. I bought a Precor EFX 835 Cross trainer with converging ramp. Over the next 5 days they will go over the whole machine, take it apart and lube, tighten and replace anything not up to PreCore standards and I will get it after that. (So probably about 2 weeks with my work schedule.) And for about 25-30% of a brand new one. This commercial one will hold up to my hours on a elliptical. And a workout, with using the ramp, I may have to do shorter times anyway. The guys that came to look at my old elliptical have worked with this store and will do the pickup, delivery and setup in my basement and get rid of my old one for me.

    Passing out on Tuesday really spooked me out and led me to believe that I haven’t been eating enough. But I’m not sure that’s the case. Truth is I’ve probably been over extending myself. That’s pushed me to eat more calories this week and put weight on, breaking my trend. I’ve added an additional 2,830 calories above my target, or 1,330 above maintenance, so that should equate to a net gain of around 0.25kg.

    For reference, I am 55f, 5'11" tall, and August 1st got back to a low carb menu in my house after losing a bunch and gaining it back 2 years ago.

    September 25:208.2 I have a doctor appointment on Tuesday. I suspect it is fluid because my breathing is affected and I have not significantly changed my eating from when I was posting losses. I still have five days to end September at 205.6. Hopefully laying off the salt and less stress will be enough.

However, I had some really stressful days this month and wasn’t able to be as active and I think stress causes me to retain water. I’m hoping for an easier October!

    Last nights sleep debacle makes sense now, I was up so many times to relieve myself and it’s showing on the scale. I’m hoping my body is letting go of some (or all) of its stress while letting go of it’s water.
