Heh. I looked down today and thought "no way the girls got bigger." No, there's just not that huge stomach on the far side of them anymore, making them look smaller!12

I’m definitely getting more male attention.
I’m very married, happy and all that so I’m not looking for male attention but it is very noticeable, the shift in peoples response to me. Actually, I was never not confident. I’m friendly and bubbly and I talk to literally everyone… I always have. I am just getting very interested signs back from men that made me feel like…. I don’t know. I never was flirting. I’m just friendly.
It’s made me assess what I’m putting out vibe wise, because like I said, I’m not looking and I’m not looking to disrespect my husband because I truly value him. It’s just strange and unexpected.15 -

You know you are really bad off when you double up on two of those bad boys for extra extra cushioning lol
I didn't double them! I took one to the office, and the other I use at home.1 -
I haven't had a blemish on my face for months. I'm attributing it to eating well and exercising.12

Yup I feel like I lost the ability to hold eye contact with strangers.3 -
My bathtub got bigger.
We have a big round garden tub, so I have never reached the sides, but when I sink down I can brace my feet at the end and know exactly how it feels on my back. I took a bath last night and was seriously pondering had I gotten shorter… nope, less padding on the behind makes you drop down further and my feet don’t touch where the used to. That was seriously breaking my brain for a minute. 😅 it’s crazy because the day before I had not noticed. It’s like it changed overnight. 🤷🏻♀️18 -
I have collarbones! For real! Haven’t seen them for years.
Being able to shop at ANY clothing store I want, not just Torrid.
So many things….12 -
This is seriously the best forum ever. I love this so much.4

@Echokleist your picture reminded me! I can wear my seat belt between the boobs now! It still slides up, but it's not usually on my neck anymore. XD8

It is August and no one has posted in a hot minute! Anyone have new unexpected things that they have found since losing some weight?1
-
I have 😀
I have found my cheekbones. They are no longer hidden.
I have found my posture is improving thanks to losing weight and core exercises.
I am finding my “style” again. I needed a few shirts for work and Instead of just finding one that fits and isn’t horrible I was actually able to look for (and find) some I LIKE.
I have found energy I didn’t even realize I had lost.
Can’t wait to find more things. This is fun.9 -

.
I am looking forward to finding some work clothes that are going to be cute and professional. Right now I usually just wear all black because it is slimming and because it is easy. Also, colored fabrics don't always look ok.

This may have already been stated and I saw the tub one but the shower is bigger now (?)7

"Wow, I don't remember my d1ck being that big"8

I can clean the bathtub now without pain. Bending is a LOT easier!8

My wife comfortably sleeps by my side as I don't snore any more!13

This one for me too - Only it is more about having my belly covered by water in a standard size tub, feels great!7 -
I drove half an hour (my right foot is the bad foot), came home, immediately took a thirty minute walk with the dog, then made muffins. And I don't want to fall asleep because I'm exhausted. Nice change!10

My posture has definitely gotten better since my bewbs have also shrunk over time and aren't pulling me forward.9

I have battled with my weight my entire life. Four years ago, I decided that I was done being a yo-yo. I was back at my heaviest weight of 250lbs. I hated pictures of myself. I hated shopping (I usually ended up in tears). Mirrors were not my friend.
Back to the gym I went. I connected with a trainer who has been a fantastic support system. I dumped off 60+ pounds, and while I still go up and down by a few pounds, I’ve kept off the 50.
I found this thread several years ago and I find myself coming back to it every once in a while. I love all the love, support, and humor I find here.
Today I came back to it because I went shopping today. I ended up buying jeans in a size 10! I haven’t been in a size 10 in decades. I cried in the change room again, but this time because I was so happy, and proud of myself. I finally feel good about myself, and while I still have a long way to go, I’ve reached a place where I’m good. I’m actually good!
Thank you all for keeping this thread alive. Positive thoughts to everyone on their journey. ❤️❤️❤️28 -
I drink much less coffee, because I have much more energy.11

That weird phase where you know you’ve lost weight but can’t seem to work out where from?11

I love this thread, keep it going! You guys are inspiring me to carry on weighing that food and hitting my steps.5

How I am feeling more and more depressed that I lost 259 lbs originally and now am creeping back up the scale. IN the last year, gaining 30lbs and feeling like I've failed my doctor, my partner and myself.
I came so far - then menopause hit, depression got worse, found out some other metabolic issues are at play including low sodium and chloride. I am feeling uninspired again and hating myself. Yet my diet intake has not gone above 2000 calories per day (focus range for weight loss at my current weight is 'suppose' to be 2100 calories per day because I still have 100+ more pounds to lose and it is starting to feel hopeless.
Sometimes now, I just want to give up, yet I still count every calorie, every step, every 15-30 minutes of exercise and take my vitamins.
Sorry if I've gone and bummed out the positive vibes of this thread, but I thought because I am 'doing the work' that since things were going so well before, that things would continue to go well. They are not.
And I don't know what to do unless I give in and get the weight loss surgery done. Which I have resisted doing. I've been following this plan for 5+ years now. ...and it's bringing me down as my 'new' clothing gets snugger and less comfortable. And my doctor just says to stay positive.
But I can't.
Sorry everyone. ox
I do hope each and every one of you finds and meets your goals.
... and I do hope that there aren't many like me that struggle and fight for every pound to come off then see them come back...
Take care.17 -

Shattered Lady, YOU CAN DO THIS! You're just having a bump along the way. You're understandably tired. But you've lost an immense amount of weight, 30lbs regain in the grand scheme of things is only a little hurdle.
Give yourself a little reset. Figure out your maintenance calories, and have a week of just maintenance. IIFYM Calculator is really good.
Choose a new exercise that you might like - dancing, walking somewhere beautiful, give home yoga a try. Have yourself a few relaxation afternoons - a nice bath or shower with lovely smelling products, paint your nails, condition your hair. Some self love.
When you have relaxed, reconvene. Write down why you started doing this plan, what are the benefits, is it worth doing (YES!) - reformulate your strategy and set off again. You can do this, you already have done a lot of it. Make this final stretch feel as fun as you can. x11 -
Does anyone have an easier time clicking/snapping their fingers? I'm obese now and have trouble doing it.3
