    Day 51: 01/15 - 230.0 - Did NOT Journal nor track water … this is becoming a bad habit. No exercise but I did cut back the dead plants in the yard before they start to flush out again then I went shopping with my sister. Unplanned wine in the evening.
    Day 52: 01/16 - 230.0 - Did NOT Journal nor track water but I did drink more water, walked 1 mile, 2 glasses wine.
    Day 53: 01/17 - 232.4 - WHOA! Did NOT Journal nor track water but did drink more water. AF. I’m starting to sound like a broken record. Strength Training class for 1 hour then 2-3 hours of yard work. Ended up soaking in the bath and then using a heating pad on my back. But felt lovely in the evening and went out to meet my book club for dinner. Starting my food journal TODAY!
    Day 54: 01/18 - 231.8 - Still not tracking water and food. AF, no exercise. Teaching ESL, read, shopped, etc. Productive day except for getting myself back on plan.
    Day 55: 01/19 - 231.2 - No journal. AF last night skipping margaritas at book club, walk 1.3 miles.
    Day 56: 01/20 - 230.1 - No journal, wine, water. Granddaughter duty for the entire day then a nap before dining out with friends.

    My Name is Donna, Age 62. I am 5’5” tall & I live in Northern Michigan USA

    My mini-challenge is to lose 10 pounds by Easter 2023. I started my efforts on Dec. 10th weighing 198.4. My wish is to weigh 188.4 by Easter April 9th, 2023. That gives me about 4 months to lose 10 pounds. Sounds easy but, trust me, it won’t be. Especially when outside exercise is so limited for me this slippery time of year!

Yesterday was all within calorie and carb goal. 40 minutes of exercise bike and food spread out nice and evenly throughout the day. My daughter and DGS are back until late Sunday evening. I pushed her cheesecake onto her and DGS. I made sugar-free jello for me and my son. Hadn’t had it in awhile. Yum! I allowed for a dollop of redi-whip in the can (only 1 carb). I’ll be making this more often I think. It was very satisfying.

    I eat sugar free jello pretty much every night, with very low cal cool whip sort of stuff. I make a whole package into one bowl, and always have 3 or 4 made and ready in the fridge. Right now it has been Strawberry and Raspberry, the cherry one is harder to find, but it is good too.
    Which flavour do you like?

    It last me I feel like 1/2 hour while I am watching some HGTV show or another. I think that it is 20 calories, I have it in my tracker so just click on it with 3-6 tablespoons of the whip. Apparently gelatin is good for the hair and nails?

    Day 50 – 1/15 - 143.8 - Not too much fallout from the Ribs. I took out a Mumbai chicken breast for dinner later, will have potato (or rice) and veg with it. I seem to do well during the weekdays with my weight and then it jumps on the weekends. I need to address that I suppose, I do generally indulge in a bit of "bad" stuff on Friday nights, I don't get the steps in on the weekends like I do on weekdays from waitressing, although I do work out more on the weekends. I want to do a workout with weights every Saturday, I did yesterday. The weather has been awful here, 5-7C the last few days, puddles on top of ice, huge ruts in the icy road where it has melted weird. Definitely no trails or anything. There is public skating today, I may try to go. Ankle is sore today, so we'll see.
    Day 51 – 1/16 - 144.2 - Ouch. Continued fallout from the weekend. No split shifts this week (so far) so hoping to get this down fast. Cooking veggies for 2 nights of dinners this morning.
    Day 52 – 1/17 - 143.4 - I had souvlaki marinated pork, 2 veggies and a bit of potato. Delicious. Going to have that again tonight, or I might make some palak paneer. I am also ready to do another batch of jambalaya/gumbo with a new (to me) type of sausage, Hungarian. I have lots of my own peppers and tomatoes frozen, plus lots of onions and garlic left from my garden, shredded chicken and prawns are also in the freezer ready to go into it.
    Day 53 – 1/18 - 143.6 - I didn't end up cooking after work yesterday, but I have lots and lots of food in the freezer that I pre-portioned after all of that harvest cooking that I did before closing my garden for the winter.
    Day 54 – 1/19 - 143.4 - Bad ankle flare up in bed last night, so low on sleep this morning. As of this week no more split shifts for the foreseeable future. I went to public skating (33 minutes I lasted) for the first time since the steroid shot. I really hope that they aren't related and that it is just the steroid slow release attacking the inflammation. There was supposed to be a steroid "flare" in the first 48 hours, which I didn't get. Going to take it as easy as I can today, although I need at least a few dance songs to loosen up the rest of my body to prepare for the workday.
    Day 55 – 1/20 - 142.4 - I slept longer than usual, so that might account for the drop. I took Tylenol PM last night since my ankle kept me awake all of Wednesday night after skating : - ( Short shift today and then I will try to stay off of it for the most part. I really really want to do the public skating at the arena on Sunday, but ankle is very sore.

    Day 51: 01/15 - 230.0 - Did NOT Journal nor track water … this is becoming a bad habit. No exercise but I did cut back the dead plants in the yard before they start to flush out again then I went shopping with my sister. Unplanned wine in the evening.
    Day 52: 01/16 - 230.0 - Did NOT Journal nor track water but I did drink more water, walked 1 mile, 2 glasses wine.
    Day 53: 01/17 - 232.4 - WHOA! Did NOT Journal nor track water but did drink more water. AF. I’m starting to sound like a broken record. Strength Training class for 1 hour then 2-3 hours of yard work. Ended up soaking in the bath and then using a heating pad on my back. But felt lovely in the evening and went out to meet my book club for dinner. Starting my food journal TODAY!
    Day 54: 01/18 - 231.8 - Still not tracking water and food. AF, no exercise. Teaching ESL, read, shopped, etc. Productive day except for getting myself back on plan.
    Day 55: 01/19 - 231.2 - No journal. AF last night skipping margaritas at book club, walk 1.3 miles.
    Day 56: 01/20 - 230.1 - No journal, wine, water. Granddaughter duty for the entire day then a nap before dining out with friends.
    Day 57: 01/21 - 230.9 - No journal, drinks (bourbon & Diet Coke), water, Strength Training 1 hour … hmmmm my food was not that bad so I’m wondering if I had hidden calories or if it was left over from the pasta the night before.

    I made Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. I was really tasty. Planning to give some to my sister today since she will be watching our dog while DH & I run out of town for the day. Also giving some to someone needing a meal on my church's Meals That Heal program.

    Instead of the 1/2 pork 1/2 beef … I bought Johnsonville Italian sausage and made the small bitesize meatballs with that using the recipe. Instead of browning in the pan with oil … I baked the meatballs in the oven flipping them multiple times over about 10-15 min at 350. Added another can of chicken broth because I cooked longer and needed extra fluid.

    I eat sugar free jello pretty much every night, with very low cal cool whip sort of stuff. I make a whole package into one bowl, and always have 3 or 4 made and ready in the fridge. Right now it has been Strawberry and Raspberry, the cherry one is harder to find, but it is good too.
    Which flavour do you like?

    It last me I feel like 1/2 hour while I am watching some HGTV show or another. I think that it is 20 calories, I have it in my tracker so just click on it with 3-6 tablespoons of the whip. Apparently gelatin is good for the hair and nails?

    @dawnbgethealthy I forgot about gelatin being good for the hair and nails, but you are right, it really is! A definite plus for me since I struggle with that since the cancer/chemo. My favorite is raspberry, I use redi-whip in the can as it has low calorie and carb, or light cool whip (any brand). Out of the small box I get four servings (you get about 5 if it's not the sugar-free box), and I put the four portions in my fancy little dessert cups covered with foil. It feels very rewarding, fancy and sophisticated eating it out of those pretty little dishes. Like a reward for a banner day. It is cold like ice cream and so light and refreshing. And for me, it is a safe food (no bones, seeds, veins, gristle etc.). It's even a little creamy because of the whipped cream. If our friends here haven't made jello at home lately, I mentioned it because I wanted to share my newest secret weapon (LOL). What a treat! Each serving is 5 calories and 0 carbs. How perfect is that?

    I love Italian Wedding soup. I know a woman who makes it without cooking the meatballs, they cook in the soup.

    Oh my, I don't like fishy smells (or fish). I did think that those Kanjac noodles smelled a little mushroomy before rinsing. Maybe some brands moreso than others. It really depends what sauce you have them with I guess. I for sure like them with pesto that I make from my garden, with a skinless boneless chicken breast that I cut up into pieces while mostly frozen, since I can't handle cutting thawed or fresh chicken breast, plus it is just easier to cut into pieces while frozen. I find that I only need about a 1/4 tablespoon of butter to brown them in a non stick pan, then add whatever spices or sauces and the rinsed kanjac-y style noodles. The whole package is only 10 calories, so it makes a very big plate or bowl of the stuff.

    Good on you for making room in your calories for homemade egg noodle soup, and for freezing some also for a quick meal.

I do workouts on the weekends, but don't get the 400+ steps from waitressing in. Also I haven't had any trail walks/skis because of the weather conditions (puddles on top of ice) and my sore ankle. It was a good weekend, got out to the Theatre Saturday night for a production of "Cabaret". We are due for the weather to become colder here soon, so more ice. That makes it easier for me to handle having to take it easy on my sore ankle in hopes that the steroid will kick in over the next few weeks.
