Up a little bit due to celebratory pizza last night but this will come off. It was a really good reason to celebrate and you can’t miss big milestones in life!
What was your milestone? Congrats either way!

1/22 161.4 I'm not at all surprised at my gain today. Yesterday didn't go at all to plan, we ended up eating out for lunch and dinner. I had a small chicken burrito bowl for lunch which was OK but they put too much creamy sauce on it. Then we went to an Indian restaurant for dinner, which is always so hard to find healthy choices. I went for a chicken shaslik (grilled chicken with veggies) and a small rice which I shared with my niece. I did have a couple of beers though and far too many poppadoms. It was a great day, we went bowling and to the arcade, I baked fairy cakes with my niece and played with her loads. I'm so besotted with both her and my tiny baby nephew! He's only a month old and is totally scrumptious!.... Is 42 too old to be trying for a baby? Arghh broody!
I have one child, my daughter is 19 and just about to fly the nest... My husband (37) has none and I fear he'll want them one day...
Will try to fast for most of the day and get a good walk in if there's time. My SIL is recovering from her C section so walking any distance is not possible for her. We'll have to see what time they go home and if there's any daylight left.
Using yesterday's weight (160.8) as my guide to set my goal for this week as today's weight isn't accurate, there's a lot of food still 'in transit'.
1/23 159.8 A relief to see my weight drop back down after the weekend! I fasted most of the day yesterday, until about 5pm then had a few snacks in the evening. I have to watch out for cravings sneaking back in, also the temptation to have a beer in the evening to relax. Back on diligent logging today after not being able to for the last 3 days. It feels good to be back in control. I must get out for a long walk today.

Hello, I’m Amanda. I did great with these 10 day challenges in the summer and the fall but some things have changed health wise and I’m finding it harder to lose the weight. Here’s hoping for a more positive outcome this time around.

@clprieur I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2022. After surgery some things came about and there was talk of chemo. I had to get a lot of scary tests done but the cancer has not spread and I found out last Thursday I will not need chemo! I am so lucky! I still have to have some other not so fun treatments but overall, things are looking up and I am going to beat this. 💪🏼

I didn't meet my goal of 0 drinks but I have only had 3 drinks all month, one special occasion, one date night, and one girls night. I feel pretty good about this and I know it's helping my weight loss goals too! One week left and nothing planned so should be fine. I hope to do the same next month (only social occasions, minimum alcohol consumption.)

@meagop just wanted to say your kids are so very lucky to have your support as they embark on the next chapter of their lives! It can be such a trying time for teens and so many don't find that support from their teachers, and sometimes not even from parents. Thanks for being there for them4

01/22 -197.4- (Trend weight 197.8)
New Round, New chances for us to reach our dreams, my friends. My goal remains to weigh less than I ended the round before. That’s it. Let’s go! We got this!
01/23 -198.2- (Trend weight 197.8) My homemade soup eaten two days in a row really hurt the bottom line. I actually find that quite surprising. Today, the rest goes in the freezer in smaller portions for some other time when I need a quick dinner. Smaller portions are in order perhaps? I travel this week on Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri of this week. That affects my ability to take my water pill so that is not going to help either. It’s going to be a tough week but I got this! Staying positive…..

Kudos to you taking on a puppy, thats a full time job! There are 2 Golden Retriever puppies next door to where I pet sit at and they just got neutered so they both have onesies on. It is ADORABLE. 74 years-old great-grandmother (5'2")
ON 8/29/2022: I was 134 LBS and had a 33” natural waist
MAINTENANCE 115-118 LBS (still trying to decide what I want my range to be).
Lessons for maintenance: 1) exercise at least 30 minutes five {5} days a week 2) try to walk no less than 10,000 steps a day 3) If/when my weight creeps up (118-119 LBS) increase the incline on the treadmill and add a burst of running to routine 4) eat a low-calorie salad before eating dinner 5) limit fried & breaded foods 6) continue to add ice cubes to my 5 oz glass of wine 7) eat fish for dinner at least 2 times a week 8) eight to nine hours of sleep a day 9) Of the 60oz of water daily-drink 8oz of water a half hour before each meal 10) three (3) meals a day and 1-2 small snacks, nothing after dinner.
Round 211- loss -1.1 LBS
01/21-116.5
Round 212: RSW: 117.2 waist: 28” (goal 27 ½’)
01/22- 117.2
01/23- 116.3 -as I bounce between 116-117. I am still debating with myself what is a good weight for me and how should I determine that. Is it my Normal BMI range? Or is it my “waist to hip ratio”? Or what my scale reads? Is it how my clothes fit? Or how I physically feel? Or is it what I see when I look in the mirror-”Body image”? Sadly I have always had a distorted body image and no matter how skinny I get I see bulges. This is still a work in progress and I am still unclear where I want to end up.

@Machias1949 The ice in the less-than-good glass of wine is actually a great trick/tip. If it helps reduce the intake/calories, I'm all for that. I may try that next time I have a glass of chardonnay. It seems like it would work better for white wine.5

@Machias1949 In the past I posted this TRUE STORY about MY own body image.
I have related my story from summer 2019 - my dear friend kept telling me I was “tiny” but I didn’t believe her until I saw someone watching me (from inside the building) dry off when I got out of the community pool. I couldn’t figure out WHO that small lady was staring at me until I realized she was wearing MY BATHING SUIT! OMG!! SHE was ME!!! I AM tiny! Now, over a year later I am still having difficulty thinking of myself as tiny but it may be getting easier. Everyone have faith in yourself and believe your friends when they compliment your progress!8 -
