Long Battle

It’s been a long road to get to where I’m at now. In 2012 I started my journey tipping the scales at 268#. I lost 85# but it took me 5 years to do. I was able to keep that off for 4 years. Then in 2022 I really started making a concerted effort to control my diabetes. I started losing weight again. Now after a 10 year battle I have finally reached my goal weight of 150#. Those last 3# were hard won. I started going to the gym back in December of 2022 at 153#. It wasn’t until just last week that I finally lost the last 3#. Now my focus has shifted to toning up & strength training & maintenance of my weight. So I have new goals now & I’m slowly making gains in the gym. Here’s to my new identity as a fit healthy person 118# lighter!

Wow! You go girl! That's what I call commitment. Thank you for sharing. I'm 60 years old and I can't tell you how many times throughout my life I lost and regained the same 20 pounds. You've proven it's a long haul, but well worth it. You are an inspiration, for sure!

Bravo! Your story sounds much like mine and as a diabetic also I'm sure your health has vastly improved. Give yourself a hug and enjoy your thin self.
