    Hello, I am Amanda, I’m a crazy cat lady from Michigan. I stopped logging and weighing mid February because of health issues and I ended up gaining back about 4 pounds. I worked hard to lose weight last year and don’t want to gain it all back!

    My goal for April is to lose those 4 pounds and walking 3 days a week.

    Cautiously optimistic. This is usually where my body starts to freak out and say wait I must hold on to every ounce of water and fat, we can’t go below 200! So, I am cautiously optimistic.
    I worked 18 hours straight yesterday and feel like I’ve been hit by a truck.

    Hello, I’m Jill. 🥰I’m 53, 5’7” and I live in Michigan. My hubby and I have 2 kids in college… my son is graduating in May and my daughter is a freshman.

    🐶 Walk and train puppy
    🥗 Continue the high-protein, lower carb, lower fat plan

    Confession time: logging is not my favorite thing to do. But, I’m at the moment in this journey where I need to log consistently. I’m starting with a goal of today… then tomorrow… baby steps.

    14–207.1 logged everything I ate from yesterday just now. Definitely room for improvement. Feeling like I’m starting to get back into logging daily.
    15–205.5 day 3 of logging. 👍
    16–205.2 I just pre-logged for today… hopefully this works!
    17–203.8. Yep, it worked! Pre-logging is my new friend. 🥰

    04/17-188.4-(Trend Weight 191.3)- Well, yesterday was a 3.6 lb Whoosh Loss. Today the body must be adjusting itself because it was a 1 lb gain for no reason. My calories were 1070 and my carbs were 69. I hit all my macros, my glucose was good. However, with the thunderstorms, I got no exercise at all. I decided to just rest a bit and catch up on some paperwork and housework. No TMI x 2 probably is not helping either. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

    04/18-187.8-(Trend Weight 190.9)- Another small loss which is more like a miracle. I say that because I have been absolutely STARVING ever since I had that (over) 3 pound whoosh the other day. So far I have SUFFERED through it trying EVERYTHING to get the hunger to go away. All the tricks in my bag aren’t working right now. I’ve managed to stay within my limits on calories and have only went slightly over on carbs per day. I hope this passes soon or I’ll need the strength of Samson to keep going without a major binge.

    4/4/23- 204.8 lbs Can you tell I've been good with keeping my carbs low the last few days? Today looks to be good too!
    4/5/23- 204.8 lbs. Stuck to my plan yesterday and today. Turned down a sweet treat that our director of nursing sent to us!
    4/6/23- 203.6 lbs What a difference getting my carbs back under control. I wish my body wasn't so darn sensitive to carbs! I can't eat but a few servings of low carb veggies and not eating fruit. It's ridiculous!!!!
    4/7/23- 202.8 lbs Well it's working again, the very low carbs. Guess my head is in it again! Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.06 miles, zones 2, 3 & 4.

    15 - 204.6 :s Another high sodium day - my daughter was over for dinner (we are celebrating Easter this weekend), and we ordered pizza. I only had two pieces and ate light for Breakfast and Lunch, but it put me over my sodium food level which apparently I am very sensitive to.
    16 - 206 :s Celebrated Easter with the family. I skipped breakfast and dinner, just had lunch. I did log everything and supposedly just stayed under my calorie goal (with excercise adjustment). Completed Couch to 5K in the AM (just started, doing two weeks of each progression. I'm on the second week of week 1), but still gained. I've found that I can't use all the calories that I gain from excercise and still lose weight. I shoot for only using about half and that works for me. Anyway, back on track, hoping to lose what I gained over the last two days by then end of the week.

    04/19-188.4-(Trend Weight 190.7)- After 3 days of no TMI and 3 days of extreme hunger, I went off the deep end for a bit. I ate back about 50% of my exercise calories and went way over on carbs and sodium though my calories were okay due to the exercise. The worst part is that by night time I was already hungry again anyway so what did I really accomplish? I ended up going to bed hungry anyway (trying to offset the damage)! Bad choices and bad behaviors will never equal good results. The positive side is that every day is a new day to do better. Today I go to my family doctor for yearly overall bloodwork. It’s just the next town over. My doctor suddenly retired so I will be looking for a new one. I don’t think I will stick to her replacement as it will be in the wrong medical system. A new doctor will end up being in another town (and county). Probably where my cardiac rehab had been. It’s going to take time to move my 23 year old medical records over and not get my meds interfered with. Ugh!
