Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

04/07-190.6-(Trend Weight 192.4)- This was probably not a good day to weigh. After all, yesterday was travel which always means restaurant, extra sitting and no water pill. But I needed to see where I am at before Easter Sunday. I am not real happy seeing the 190’s again but I think I can put a big ding in that today and tomorrow before the holiday. To meet my personal goal of the 10 pound loss between Christmas and Easter, I need to drop 2.2 pounds back off. No matter what happens, I am proud of my progress. I am down approx 8 pounds during my mini-challenge including through the Christmas holidays and the Valentine’s candy gifts. I have dropped a size, am measuring smaller, and feel more confident about myself. All wins! But I am still going for those last two pounds since I had them off before my bp issues stopped me in my tracks. Good news yesterday: Cardiac rehab released me with all good grades. That means less travel in my future which will definitely affect my weight loss. I’m feeling “up” today, even with the scale disappointment. After all, I had to buy new (smaller) underwear, remember?
04/08-188.8-(Trend Weight 191.6)- Yes! Yes! Yes! 0.4 lbs. to go to (re) reach my mini Easter goal. You can bet I’ll be sucking down the water and watching every morsel, every BLT today!

My name is Paula Jones and I am fed up! I am a mother of 3 kids and married to my husband who I’ve been with since September of 2000. I used to be EXTREMELY fit since my time spent serving our country in the US Army. I am now an obese 100% service disabled veteran experiencing a variety of health related issues primarily resulting from my weight and I have finally reached a point where I can’t take it anymore so I am taking a firm stand. I WILL lose and am losing this weight since I started going at my goals hard Feb 9. I have seen favorable results so far with my current strategy which is a combination of Noom, GOLO, and Intermittent Fasting (IF) with revolutionary changes being made to how I eat, what I eat, and why I eat. I weigh myself every day and tape various locations of my body once a week to help hold myself accountable and establish a way to thoroughly measure my progress. I start including physical exercise today and will be going to the gym to start up some cardio at the very least. Let’s do this! Huah!
Goals for April:
Workout cardio at least 3x/week (min 20 min) 🦵🏾🫀🏃🏾♀️
Strength training at least 3x/week
(min 20 min) 🦾🏋🏾
Reduce sugar intake to 6 g/day 🦷👩🏾🍳
Start meditating again more at least every other day for a minimum of 10 min/session 💆🏾♀️🧘🏾♀️
Start weight: 245.2 lbs
Goal weight: 195 lbs
April goal weight: 235.2 lbs
February end weight: 258.2 lbs (6 lbs lost)
March end weight: 245.8 lbs (12.4 lbs lost)
April 🪺🌳💐🌞🌧️
1 - 245.2 lbs
2 - 247.4 lbs 😱 😵💫
3 - 249.3 lbs 👺😵 I turn this around IMMEDIATELY. I’ve been steady losing. Time to tighten up. May have another increase before I see a decrease, but I won’t try to tell the future.
4 - DNW 😫
5 - DNW 😰🫣
6 - 248.0 lbs 😢
7 - 241.2 lbs 🤔
8 - 244.2 lbs 🤯😱🤔 What the HECK is going on!? I wonder if the issue is my not being as consistent with the time of day that I weigh myself. I was being diligent with weighing myself pretty immediately after I wake up at 0430.2 -
My name is Mary, 65 from Pennsylvania. I'm a RN and work long days. Logging in everyday since I started MFP 5/14/21.
Unfortunately lost my mojo and gained a lot back but not all Thank God! Need to get back on track and focused.
Heaviest weight 255 lbs, twice. :-(
9/14/20-255 lbs
5/14/21-232.2 lbs MFP start date.
4/6/22- 147.6 lbs (107.4 lbs lost) I did NOT have a surgery. Did Keto.
8/1/22- 167.2 lbs
12/1/22-198 lbs
1/1/23- 213.4 lbs
2/1/23- 207.4 lbs
3/1/23- 201 lbs
4/1/23-207.6 lbs
4/2/23-209 lbs. I need to get my head right and be more accountable to myself in this. I need to get back in control and off the carbs again. Back to my lower level of daily carbs and FOCUSED on what is best for me! Not short term enjoyment. Elliptical 150 minutes for 10.11 miles.
4/3/23- 206 lbs. Was really good yesterday, was under my calories & carbs and it shows. I just don't understand why I have to go SO low carb to lose.
4/4/23- 204.8 lbs Can you tell I've been good with keeping my carbs low the last few days? Today looks to be good too!
4/5/23- 204.8 lbs. Stuck to my plan yesterday and today. Turned down a sweet treat that our director of nursing sent to us!
4/6/23- 203.6 lbs What a difference getting my carbs back under control. I wish my body wasn't so darn sensitive to carbs! I can't eat but a few servings of low carb veggies and not eating fruit. It's ridiculous!!!!
4/7/23- 202.8 lbs Well it's working again, the very low carbs. Guess my head is in it again! Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.06 miles, zones 2, 3 & 4.
4/8/23- 202.8 lbs Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.04 miles zones 2, 3 & 4.

@deepwoodslady I'm a RN. I doubt your hernia is bigger. It could be though. But I would think you have lost some inches above it and now it just shows more. My guess.1

Hello, I am Amanda, I’m a crazy cat lady from Michigan. I stopped logging and weighing mid February because of health issues and I ended up gaining back about 4 pounds. I worked hard to lose weight last year and don’t want to gain it all back!
My goal for April is to lose those 4 pounds and walking 3 days a week.
OSW: 250 lbs
April 1: 205.1 lbs
April goal: 201 lbs
4/1: 205.1
4/2: 205.7
Went out to eat last night which I rarely do. The food seemed really salty.
4/3: 204.8
4/4: 204.8
It’s been raining here for a few days and supposed to rain until Thursday. Makes it hard to walk outside but I’ve got to make myself do it!
4/5: 206.7
A 2 pound gain overnight. Lovely.
4/6: 204.8 phew!
4/7: 205.1
I did not stick to plan yesterday.
4/8: 205.1
I went to a surgery consult yesterday for a large incisional hernia I have from a hysterectomy in 2018. The surgeon wants me to lose 50 pounds before she does the surgery. She suggested giving me 4 months to lose it….I laughed in her face! I can’t lose 50 pounds in 4 months! Maybe 6 months. I know I need to lose weight, it just sucks when someone else points it out. One more reason to work harder I suppose. 🫠
4/8: 203.8
This is nice to see. I’m still pretty bummed out by the doctor appointment as hard as I am trying to not take it personally.
I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!4 -
@deepwoodslady Thats crazy you have a hernia too! Hmmm…Michigan….suspicious! I’m glad to hear that maybe your BP is getting under control! 😃1

@swimmom Thanks for the info. You are probably right. In some pants and shirts I can see it sticking out through the fabric. It is affecting what I wear now and it's irritating. I can't wait to have it repaired!1 -

Happy April! I am a 45 year-old female. I am 5'4" married woman with four kids. Mentally and emotionally, I have been struggling. I had to transition from being a stay-at-home mom/part-time worker to working 50+ hours a week after my husband's disability and subsequent surgery. Feeling the mom/wife guilt as I have not been able to find the balance. My mom had to have a heart procedure and now her condition has lead to her needing to see if she can be a candidate for a lung, and possibly a heart and lung transplant. My dad has mitral valve replacement surgery next week. Physically, I am a two-time cancer survivor, I have Hypothyroidism, Early Menopause, Plantar Fasciitis, and now my hair is starting to fall out. I struggle with planning meals, overindulging in carbs, not finding time to exercise, being consistent, and needing new coping skills. I know I've had a rough time dealing with all of this, but I will keep trying.
April Goals:
☔️Stretch daily
☔️Log food everyday
☔️Rugby Practices
☔️Take thyroid med everyday
☔️Increase Water Intake
☔️Either gain a little muscle or lose a little weight

Things like this wipe my body out pretty good after my medical history. Looking forward to catching up on old friends' progress and goals for the new month and meeting some new friends!

I’m surprised I am not seeing a gain here. Yesterday was full of healthy options, I just felt like I ate too much of them. I wasn’t at home so I wasn’t able to weigh and log my food.2 -
@BittersweetVita Wow, you have a lot on your plate! I just finished radiation treatment for my estrogen driven breast cancer 2 weeks ago. I just started Tamoxifen on 4/4 and yeah, not fun. So tired and sore. I have to be on it for 5 years so I feel like I have to give it a very good try. I can relate with the demanding job and aging parents but I do not have any kids.
Hang in there! I’ll be thinking of you! 🙂3 -

SW (feb 26th 2023)- 387lb
March SW- 381lb
April SW- 364lb (-16lb)
April target- 355lb 350lb
1/4- 364lb
2/4- 360.6lb - managed a 2 mile walk today! walked home from church rather than taking an uber!
3/4- 360.6lb- I'm happy with a maintain... I have to remember that I can't lose every day!! I need to accept that!!
4/4- 358.4lb- I am over the moon! I know that the weight will fluctuate so I look forward to being consistently under the 360's BUT this is the first time I've been this low since September of 2022! So far so good!
5/4- 358lb- another steady loss...I'm so happy... maybe I will make it to 350lb before I leave for my vacation after all!
6/4- 357.4lb
7/4- 356lb- So I've decided to change my target again... I know I was weary to set it at 350lb since I only have til the 27th to weigh in at that...but I am over half way there already and I have 20 more days to go! 31lb lost in total, 8lb so far this month, it's crazy!
8/4- 358.4lb nothing happened- just ate super late and I guess my body didn't like that... it'll be gone in a day or 2 i'm sure
9/4- 357.4lb
10/4- 358.4lb- yeah i don't know what's going on, but it's happened before and it went down... not worried too much!5 -
My name is Mary, 65 from Pennsylvania.
4/9/23- 203.6 lbs Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.04 miles zones 2, 3 & 4. Meat & low carb veggies for Easter lunch today but I had a piece of a Dominican Pineapple cake. OMG! Not rich and a whipped cream icing but moist as a Rum cake. So delicious! Worth the calories & Carbs IMO.
410/23- 205.8 lbs :-( Oh well.
