Going to have to get back on track. Really need to lose some weight before our Cruise in September. I would be happy just to lose 20lbs by Sept and keep it off.
Then work on losing another 20lbs by Feb for our 3 week Hawaii trip.
I'm thinking Tuesday will be my weigh-in days. I have Tuesdays off for the next month and am hoping it will stay that way.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE.7 -

OK! Let's do this together! I will be happy with 10 pounds even- every little bit will help me feel better.3 -
Thank you @RubyRed427 for once again setting up this challenge!
Happy May everyone!
For the past 4 months I have been averaging about 2.5 lbs per month. During the last round I lost just over 5 lbs but I had gained 2 lbs while on vacation in February and it took me a couple weeks to get that back off.
I would love to lose 3 or 4 lbs per month but I doubt that will be in the cards for me at this point in my journey so my goal for this round will be to lose at least another 7 lbs. I have increased my exercise over the past couple weeks and, with the weather improving and gardening season approaching, I will be more active in general.4 -
I'm in!
Goals:
fruit and vegetables at least 2x a day
I have banished red wine. Now cut way back on white.
very very little fried foods
less red meat
daily stretch
10 minute morning meditation
express gratitude daily before going to sleep
The Wegovy is helping me feel full fast. Once I get rid of the white wine, I believe the weight will come off faster. I need to remind myself I am paying a lot of money for this drug and do not want to waste it sabotaging myself. Best of luck to ALL with their goals! Thanks again, Ruby, for keeping this going!

Hi. I'm back on mfp because I feel squishy and I would like not to be. Also my old wardrobe is so much nicer than my current one 😄 I hope to get rid of my squishy-phase clothes soon.
No set days to weighing but hope to update this at least twice a week.

05/02-193.6-(Trend Weight: 192.3)- The madness must stop! When I saw the scale I just wanted to crawl back into bed and put my head under the covers. I would love to get outside but it’s just too cold. Snow yesterday and today. It wouldn’t be northern Michigan without snow in May, right? I’ve got to cut the snacks and do some inside workouts. Maybe a little dancing will lift my spirits while burning some calories.

Hi everyone! I'm jumping back into this inspirational group this cycle. I started keeping track of calories, etc. more consistently for the last few weeks. This group worked so well for me last year, but now the weight is going back up and it's a struggle. I've gained back 10 pounds. That's a red line. Glad to see so many are still here and new folks too. I'd like to average a loss of 1 pound a week. (Why is so much easier to put on than it is to take off?!) I'm in my early 70s and try to stay active and my favorite activities are dancing (aerobic) and weights. I live in the rainy Northwest. Good luck everyone!

After several months of high work and family stress, and accompanying steady weight gain, to the point of not fitting in my clothes and not feeling comfortable in my body, I've decided to come back here, and focus on taking off this weight and taking better care of my health.
Here was the kicker: This week I was away on a brief vacay and woke up at four in the morning, unable to get back to sleep (typical for me on first night in a hotel after driving all day). I cracked open my ipad and saw an app on it I did not recognize so decided to investigate its contents before deleting it. It is an app called "Pocket Heart" (7-day free trial) and I think it is designed for use by medical and other students to learn the anatomy and functioning of the heart. Well, it is a very cool app. It shows a graphical representation of a beating heart, with blood flowing through it; the graphic can be rotated to get a view of the heart from all angles, and adjusted to switch from an external to an internal view. There are little yellow pins all over the graphic that link to descriptions of various parts of the heart. You can control whether or not the heart is beating, whether or not the blood flow is shown, whether the pins are shown. You can learn more what various heart tests are, and which parts of the heart they target.
I was beyond enthralled with this app. I studied it a long while and concluded: "Wow. The. Heart. Is. Amazing." And: "Well worth my taking better care of mine." I know in the abstract about the importance of lowering weight & cholestral, good diet, and exercise, for maintaining heart health. This app really brought home to me in graphic terms how incredible this organ is and how important it is to do more to protect the health of mine. This experience inspired me to get a grip and get back on track with my weight loss and overall improved health goals.
(P.S. I am editing this post to make clear that I am NOT advertising this app and have absolutely NO connection with its developers. In fact, I am mystified about its appearance on my ipad; must have been something I downloaded thinking I'd check it out later, then forgot about in the midst of all my work and family stress of late .)
Everyone, Good luck with this challenge ! .

I am 29, 5'11, and 170 lbs. Live in the Northwest. I gained a lot after having kids and having a few major injuries all in the last few years. My highest weight was about 200 pounds. I dropped to 170 over the winter when I started having gallbladder issues. I would like to improve in 3 parts in the next few months.
1) When I had big gallbladder issues, I cut back on fat intake, caffeine intake, soda, and alcohol, and it helped a lot. The issue is it is a hard lifestyle for me to maintain, it cut out so many of my normal food bases, and the rest of my family still had normal diets, so eventually I went back to old habits. I have plateaued at 170 for a couple months now, and have decided its time to go back to a healthier diet and continue to my goal of 150 lbs. I am going to do my best to go back to how I was eating before.
2) I stay fairly active between caring for property, livestock, kids, pets, household, and working evenings as a janitor job. I can be doing more in each of those areas each day though. I am hoping to create better habits for me and my kids going into this better weather(seasonal depression is also an issue for me).
3) I also have issues sleeping which isn't helping. Between what I consume, my evening habits, and general pain from old injuries, I have a very hard time getting to and staying asleep.
If I can find healthier habits in all these areas I know I can reach my goals, one step at a time!

64 year old female. 5 ft 2 in. I need to get back on track. I've been pretty lazy about my diet for the past couple years and it shows.
Current weight 146.6
Goal weight 132
I ran a 5k last Saturday and try to get at least 3 runs of 3-10 miles per week. Sometimes I go all out for a 13.1 half. But my diet has been bad. Back on track to get back in to my normal wardrobe.6 -

I am a 5'3" retiree living in upstate NY.
I started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is between 135-145.
Starting weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs
Apr 28: 159.6
May 5: 158.2
Challenge Goal: 7 lbs (152.6)
Challenge Actual: 1.4 (158.2)
When I stepped on the scale this morning for my weekly weigh-in and was very surprised to have lost 1.4 lbs. I didn't expect to lose that much since I had lost a full pound last week and lately it's been taking about a month for me to lose 2.5 lbs. In addition we went out for BBQ on Monday in rememberance of my late son's birthday, though I did manage to stay within my calories for the day.
Plugged my new weight into MFP this morning and it told me I'm 75% of the way to goal. Woo hoo!
Have a great week everyone!
