    Hello Everyone!

……58 year old, 5'4" GG from TN

I've had a disappointing month of May as far as weight loss goes ending my month weighing the same as I started. I even increased my work outs for weeks in May-not doing as much now. I didn't track daily and mom stayed with me for 2 weeks, Extra holidays as well....graduation, mothers day, graduation, memorial day family gathering out of state....ITS sooo freaking hard to loose weight and so VERY easy to gain. Bummed right now as I had hoped to weigh at least 5 pounds less than I currently do for my birthday (beginning of June....but here I am). I'm also not excited about being another year older and still weighing as much as I do. UG.
BUT on the positive side......Glad I have this group that keeps me looking ahead, it helps with accountability and comradery and it lets me know I'm not the only one out there dealing with this struggle....

    Continue:
*no desserts/0 to minimal sugar after dark
    *close activity rings every day
*build up to walking 3 miles by end of month for vacation and do upper body strengthening.
    *track food daily

So, I did not really start trying to lose weight until May 23, 2023. I am trying to weigh myself weekly, but I am a part of other challenges where we weigh each day.

Anyways, here are my current stats as I join you all for next two months:

    Starting Weight: 196.4 lbs
    Current Weight: 195.0 lbs
Goal Weight (for this challenge): 180 lbs
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 135 lbs

    Hi,
    I'm Amanda in Massachusetts.
    50yrs old,
could use an active weight loss buddy.
    I'm a shortie 4’11”, looking to lose 4-6# for my 1st goal by 6/12.

    Wow: it's June tomorrow!

    5/1: 122.6
    5/8: 121.2 ⬇️
    5/15: 119.4 ⬇️
Didn’t overeat at the Mother’s Day lunch yesterday.
Great WO: 3 separate pull-ups this morning! Felt great/less bloated.

    5/22: 118.6 ⬇️
    Staying focused!
I’m much better when I have a hard deadline with a set goal to achieve by then.

    5/29: 117.8 ⬇️
I’m staying on track, but all the yummy fruit (mango, watermelon, bananas, etc) are calling my name, and I just want to eat a **HUGE** bowl of them!!!

Went kayaking in the evening yesterday… did 45-60 minutes against the current, then turned around and drifted downstream! I love the peacefulness of water!

I started back to weighing on May 25th at 148.3 and ended May at 145.9. I’ll take that as a win! Have a few too many bumps in my schedule during June, but I’m shooting to be down 4 more pounds (that will be tough, but life will go on even if I don’t make it!)!!!

Let’s all keep moving…we can do this!

    💕Bobbi

    59y/o 5'5"
    Highest weight: 131.6 (Feb 2022)
    Goal weight: 120

    5/3 128.9
    5/8 128.4 (-0.5 lbs)
    5/16 128.3 (-0.1 lbs)
    5/24 128 (-0.3 lbs)
    5/31 127.2 (-0.8 lbs)

I changed to HIIT instead of steady state cardio two weeks ago and think that may have started things moving again (fingers crossed). Will stay the course and hope to see some further losses.

05/31-194.8-(Trend Weight: 194.8)- Calories under, Carbs over. May was a foodie month filled with many celebrations and some travel. June should be better! I’m traveling about 70 miles each way to a new movie theater today to see The Little Mermaid. It’s much closer than where we usually need to go to see a movie. It’s supposed to be high-tech with the reclining seats and food trays. I can’t wait to see both the theater and the movie! I gotta watch that popcorn though!

    May Goal: 187.6
    May Actual: 194.8
    May Loss/Gain: 2.2 lbs. GAINED.
Cumulative Weight Loss so Far: 2.2 GAINED

06/01-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- The movie was great (The Little Mermaid). The new theater was wonderful. It was a 75 mile drive to the theater each way. Lots of sitting and lots of food. Three full meals and a snack. None of the food was within plan. My pants are tight and I don’t want to know until tomorrow.

I am a 5'3" retiree living in upstate NY.
I started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is between 135-145.

Starting weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs

    Apr 28: 159.6
    May 5: 158.2
    May 12: 158.4
    May 19: 158.6
    May 26: 158.4
    June 2: 159.3

    Challenge Goal: 5 lbs (154.6)
    Challenge Actual: .3 (159.3)

Stayed virtually the same for May. My body seems to like this weight. I'm okay with maintaining for a bit while my body adjusts but still hoping to drop 5 lbs this round.

    Have a great week!
