Hello Everyone!
……58 year old, 5'4" GG from TN
I've had a disappointing month of May as far as weight loss goes ending my month weighing the same as I started. I even increased my work outs for weeks in May-not doing as much now. I didn't track daily and mom stayed with me for 2 weeks, Extra holidays as well....graduation, mothers day, graduation, memorial day family gathering out of state....ITS sooo freaking hard to loose weight and so VERY easy to gain. Bummed right now as I had hoped to weigh at least 5 pounds less than I currently do for my birthday (beginning of June....but here I am). I'm also not excited about being another year older and still weighing as much as I do. UG.
BUT on the positive side......Glad I have this group that keeps me looking ahead, it helps with accountability and comradery and it lets me know I'm not the only one out there dealing with this struggle....
Continue:
*no desserts/0 to minimal sugar after dark
*close activity rings every day
*build up to walking 3 miles by end of month for vacation and do upper body strengthening.
*track food daily

So, I did not really start trying to lose weight until May 23, 2023. I am trying to weigh myself weekly, but I am a part of other challenges where we weigh each day.

Went kayaking in the evening yesterday… did 45-60 minutes against the current, then turned around and drifted downstream! I love the peacefulness of water!
I started back to weighing on May 25th at 148.3 and ended May at 145.9. I’ll take that as a win! Have a few too many bumps in my schedule during June, but I’m shooting to be down 4 more pounds (that will be tough, but life will go on even if I don’t make it!)!!!
Let’s all keep moving…we can do this!

It’s supposed to be high-tech with the reclining seats and food trays. I can’t wait to see both the theater and the movie! I gotta watch that popcorn though!

This week's goals:
Eat more veggies- 2 different ones per day- one raw
Light dinner- even a bowl of cereal (which is my mom's secret to maintaining her present weight)
Arm weights
Stomach crunches/bicycles
Important goal: Get on my bicycle, ride outside, for 6 min. per day. And then after that increase one minute per day. Psychical therapist says not to go too hard. Just trying to loosen up my ankle after torn ligaments and broken leg.
Today's win: I went to a foot spa. It was delightful. The person did reflexology on my feet. 30 min. foot and leg massage and then 30 min. of body massage. Beautiful music playing... it was so soothing.8 -

Actually had fun yesterday, planning what to pack, trying on different outfits BECAUSE I’m fitting back into my skinnier clothes again! I have a lot of great clothes that I never wear because I couldn’t fit into them!

06/06-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I didn’t weigh this morning because I can feel the bloat and tightness after my all day travel yesterday and my Thai food for lunch and leftovers for a late dinner. I know I am up from last week, I have been weighing in all week and it has been nothing to brag about. I’ve got to do better. Clothing is feeling tight.

I’ve made it through the first road bump of visiting some friends and older family members. This meant more than I usually eat and lots of wine all 4 days. So, although I am up, it’s not as bad as it could be. 146.7 this morning. Next road bump is this weekend.

Hi everyone! I'm jumping back into this inspirational group this cycle. I started keeping track of calories, etc. more consistently for the last few weeks. This group worked so well for me last year, but now the weight is going back up and it's a struggle. I've gained back 10 pounds. That's a red line. I'm in my early 70s and try to stay active and my favorite activities are dancing (aerobic) and weights. I live in the rainy Northwest. Good luck everyone!
