I’m annoyed with the weather. Beautiful days and then back down to the 60’s. All I ask is for 75°+ always. It’s not too much to ask for.

    Are you in LA cuz...yeah!

IBS is majorly f***ing with my stomach, so my road trip tomorrow that I’ve been planning for over a month may not happen 😭

I’m tired of my stomach issues completely ruling my life but I can’t get any control of my symptoms. Everything I try, the relief is extremely short-lived, and nothing works on a consistent basis. I hate this disease so much.

I'm an American living in Rome, Italy. To be honest, I don't know anyone here with IBS. I had to look it up. However, a friend on MFP asked me to get what information I could to help someone she knows. Throw me a challenge and I become a pitbull.

I just returned from a trip to the States. I stayed with friends and their daughter is a doctor specializing in IBS. I asked for information. This is what she gave me:

    Treatments with diet

--Avoid dairy for 4 weeks, if things get better continue.
--IBGuard is an over-the-counter supplement that can be taken 30 min before meals.
    --Meditate 30 min a day.
--Low FODMAPS Diet (IBS diet for diarrea)

Then I had a chat with my BIL. He has suffered with severe IBS for 8 years. He says he's pretty much got it under control. He told me the game changer was meditation. He started with 5 min a day. He couldn't believe it, but said stress in a huge trigger. He now does 10 min a day.

I hope there's something here you can try. I know you're suffering. Good luck.

That I have to scroll past a half page of MFP announcement posts before getting to the first real thread on the "Recent Discussions" page. 🤣

Just leave me the **** alone.

You're in the wrong place for that 😂

Ya know, I don’t have a problem talking/being friends with married guys but they need to be honest and up front with their situation.
Talking isn’t always flirting but it’s going down the wrong path when they are hiding it, only talking on the weekdays at work but not admitting that’s the situation.
Don’t get me started when they want to exchange emails.
Sure, have your wife send a permission email. 😂

Was about to make my kids sandwiches for lunch, only to discover the bread I bought just a few days ago was already moldy. Now I need to go back to the supermarket (where I picked up cold cuts earlier, but didn’t buy bread because I knew I had rolls at home.)

After about half an hour of play, a monsoon blew in, and we didn’t get to finish our tennis match this evening.

No idea what to get my Dad for Father’s Day. And dealing with some health stuff so it’s going to be hard to go out and find something anyway.

And when I ask him outright what he wants he just makes some joke answer. But he gets pissy if other people in the family don’t drop hints about what they want for Christmas/birthdays/whatever.

A 10-minute outpatient procedure comes with a $1,100 bill. If I didn’t have insurance it would have been almost twice that. I have the savings built up to be able to cover it, but the healthcare system in America really needs a makeover.

I guess I should feel lucky instead of irked because I can afford it?

    I’m irked for my son.
Their house is only 2yrs old and yesterday afternoon his AC quit working.

I am not woke enough to let a teenage girl, identifying as a boy, get into a boxing ring with biological boys that will hurt her. Not to mention this trangender boy has not enough boxing experience to even warrant being in sparring situations yet. No matter, i got fired from my longtime boxing coach gig. I have no remorse, i have never let a kid get hurt under my watch and politics will not change that.

I have nothing but complete respect for you and what you just said. Their loss totally!
