    @pezhed and @lisapower123 I wanted to update you both. So I bought the travel scale that Pezhed mentioned in round 223. As you may of may not know, I am pretty nuts in my scales. I own three identical (one at each residence), that have been checked against each other, and years ago I verified them against the uber expensive scales used in the numerous WW centers I worked in.

    That said, I put the Renpho travel scale through its paces. First out of the box, of course I did not read instructions. I put the batteries in and stepped on it. Yes, it was off. Well, if I read the instructions, it tells you to calibrate (very easy) any time it is moved. Anyhow, scale then was an exact match. I used for a few days, and then took it to Maine and used there (verified against that scale), and then brought it back to Mass last night. It is very well matched, and easy to use. I am excited. I will have to be smart on my packing for Scotland so that I make sure I fit it in my suitcase. :)

    I am also having fun with its other data which you can only get if you sync the app. Not fully sure what I think of that data, and will be doing some research on this. I do have my Dexafit data from a month ago, when I was nominally higher in weight, and there are differences. I'll be looking into the significance. I just put up a post seeing what insights the MFP community might have for me. If you are curious, or even have opinions, here is my very new post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10892602/dexascan-and-renpho-what-do-i-trust/p1?new=1

    I had two nice walks with the pup yesterday, plus 2 hours weeding. I don’t use chemicals in my garden and I’m starting to wonder why! Anyway…our favorite traveling smoked chicken guy will be near us today, so that’s lunch/dinner around 1 o’clock. I have leftover salad for my evening snack. Should work well. Enjoy your Sunday!

    6/12 - 183
    I had a good day yesterday, but woke up feeling yucky. I should go out and work on another part of the garden, but I think I’m going to go back to bed for a while instead. Maybe another hour of sleep will help. You all have a great day!

    6/13 - 183
    Deja vu all over again! I did go back to bed for an hour yesterday morning—and slept 3.5 hours! Then I pretty much did nothing the rest of the day….read, knitted a couple of swatches for gauge for new projects, took Booker for a nice walk, had several 5-10 minute training sessions with him. I needed a do-nothing day, so all good.

    6/14 - 183.2
    Salty lunch yesterday, feeling puffy.

    6/15 -
    6/16 -
    6/17 -

    @bringit2023 Yes, that shot was not fun. Last year Hubby and I did a number of shots. Shingles in July, then Late Sept covid (again), two weeks later flu shot, the two weeks later Shingles 2nd. BTW pharmacist claimed shingles two would be worse. Neither hubby or I found that to be the case.

    @Huango Lovely photo!

    @Itladyee On my post I am getting responses, but as yet, not the info I am seeking. We shall see. But that little travel Renpho is awesome. So glad Pezhed found it. Gotta "donate" my old one.

    @SModa61 my home scale is a renpho scale. I actually trust the navy fat method for determining body fat. Oddly is also shows that my subcutaneous fat percentage as the amount that the navy fat calculates. Day to day there are too many variations for it to be 100% accurate. I also bought the travel scale and will use it (maybe) when I vacation. I have rethought it a bit and a vacation might just be a vacation

    @itladyee i never would have thought that I would be dealing with this knowledge. Maybe if my mother had prepared me I would have thought twice about doing the DNA tests. Probably not though, I am a data, scientific kinda person so the outcome would have been the same. I just was not/am not prepared for the heaviness of the information. It changes nothing & everything. Crazy.

    @SModa61 I use Renpho at home. I didn't read the directions but I do tap my toe on it about 2 times each side to zero it out each time before I step on. Does that calibrate it or do I need to do something different? Thanks for the info.
