@tiabirdie56 Thanks. I do calorie cycle, mostly because I’m not being consistent for more than 3 days, but when I was, I always put in a higher calorie day every 7-10 days.

    β€œToday….I am choosing Me”

    MY STATS:

    Current New Goals:
    Weight:
Short Term Goal: To weigh less at the end of this round than I did at the end of the last round.
Final goal: 145-155. We’ll see how I look & feel when I get there.
Exercise: Move 30 minutes per day rotating activity.

Mini challenge: My monthly goal is always about 5 pounds per month. HOWEVER, I never seem to make that. So, Between Independence Day Holiday (July 4th) and Labor Day Holiday (Sept 4th) I will weigh somewhere, ANYWHERE in the 180’s. I don’t care if it’s on the brim. I’ve got to start getting further away from the 200’s again! Starting Weight on 7/4 is 195.4.

07/20 …..196.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND

    07/21 -194.4- (Trend weight 197.0)

    07/22 -195.6- (Trend weight 197.0)

    07/23 -195.2- (Trend weight 196.8)

    07/24 -193.8- (Trend weight 196.5)

07/25 -194.0- (Trend weight 196.2) I Typed my weight in black because I knew it was a perfect on-point day with both diet and exercise so this is just an overnight fluctuation. I am happy with my progress so far this round, including my trend weight. Not traveling has helped. I may have to go out of town on Thursday, however. I need to do some grocery shopping and it is supposed to be 93 degrees that day. With no air conditioning here, I would look forward to the air in the car and in the stores. Trying to be strategic.

07/26 -193.8- (Trend weight 196.0) I drank 100 oz of water yesterday which wasn’t as hard to do as I thought. I just set time limits for myself. 24 by noon. 24 by 4:00-4:30, 24 by 9:00 and 24 by 1:00 am (I stay of late). I keep a little to sip at night by the bed too. Thinking of it in smaller increments helped. Also, I walked down the driveway to the mailbox and just kept walking without having planned it. I had on my squirrel shoes (the one’s I jump into to go out and feed the squirrels and birds), not my walking shoes but I walked for about 12 minutes up and down the hills of my neighborhood. A short walk but better than nothing. I think I can do that more often but not today as there are severe thunderstorms coming any minute. Sad to see my weight still isn’t moving. I stuck to my diet plan and snacking plan. I’m really looking forward to the 180’s because I know how much my glucose improves and how much better I feel.

@jafso_1 I don’t know how to merge your workout reports but think it would be a setting in one of the apps or perhaps on Apple health if you have an Apple device. I’m 73 and don’t do tech. LOL I have a Garmin Vivofit 3 and Polar chest strap and only use MFP for this message board. Some of these share to MFP but the food tracking app I use (Senza) doesn’t.

Hi Everyone – Looking forward to my 6th challenge.
Female, 5’4”, 57 years of age
    HW: 210 (May, 2022)
    CW: 147.4
GW: still don’t know… it will be a journey… first stop, β€œhealthy BMI,” second stop, β€œlook good in mirror.” I sincerely hope I get there.

Goals: Continue working on same goals from previous rounds
Cardio: 8/10 days (only days I struggle with this are Sunday and Wednesday due to lack of time)
Bodyweight Train: 3/10 days <- The biggest struggle of mine currently. Really need to do this!
Logging Food: 10/10 days (using a food scale every time!)
I will be away for the end of this challenge at a family wedding… which doesn’t bode well for me at the end. I also will not be weighing in for those last few days. I am very anxious about being able to stay on track… with obvious indulgences because it’s a wedding… there will be cake… and champagne… 2 things I thoroughly enjoy. Also, no structured work out schedule. It took me from 2/27/23 until 6/15/23 to get out of the 150’s and I really don’t want to have to do that again.

    SW RND 230 – 147.4
    7/21: 147.5
7/22: 147.2 - Early morning Zumba put a smile on my face today! Youngest DS birthday lunch tomorrow (he turned 25 yesterday), and I just baked a cake. Ugh - it smells really good. Might have a little slice tomorrow, we'll see. Gonna make a beef tenderloin and roasted potatoes (I'll have a sweet potato). I feel good, strong, ready to take on the temptation.
7/23: 147.5 Lots of work to do to get ready for lunch today. I haven't had beef in so long.... probably 2 months, I hope I don't overcook it. My middle DS, who is 28, has CP and what that means for him is he is physically totally dependent on help (quadriplegic) and cognitively he is scattered anywhere from a 5 year old to about 12 year old with thoughts, ideas, speech, etc. He was up around 2 am to let us know that he was keeping an eye on the cake overnight so that nobody would steal it! I'll be drinking lots of coffee today - LOL!
7/24: 147.6 - Back at work, feeling frenetic trying to get things accomplished before Thursday, let alone thinking about what I need to pack, etc.
    7/25: 147.5
7/26: 147.7 - Had Zumba last night after work and twisted my ankle... but it's not terrible, just reminding me that I did it. Not swollen, just tender. Oy... I suppose I need to slow down. :) Thanks @itladyee for the well wishes. Also agree with you regarding the change in tastes... I did have a small slice of my DS birthday cake on Sunday, and I did not care for it... kind of makes me happy a little bit that there's no big temptation in it anymore. I plan to be mindful while I am away, and write down what I eat, if not the weight, etc of it all. Have a great couple of weeks and I'll "see" you when I am back!

@SheilaBoneham, I understand. As for myself, calorie cycling, carb cycling, IF; I really just decided to eat when I'm hungry and according to my hunger. Some days have been over 2000 calories, some over 1700-1800 calories, some 1100-1400 calories and some days I don't break 900 calories. I don't really think about the calories anymore. You'll figure it out for yourself. ❀

@quiltinjaine, I haven't had a craving in a long time, but last night at dinner I ate the heck out of some pretzel rods.πŸ˜‚ 9 of them! I was out and about in the heat yesterday and needed electrolytes. The saltiness tasted so good.

    65 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 230 (my 161st). Thank you @quiltingjaine for the new round.
Goal this round is yet again the same as last; to get back under and stay under 139. Holiday to Menorca is now in 52 days, I still need to crack on & lose a few pounds I’ll be needing to purchase a bigger size in holiday clothes, and I do not want to do that. So, 52 days, 5 rounds at a pound per round should easily get me to where I want to be, only I can do it, I’ve done it before so I can do it again if I knuckle down!! Really try to stay on track. After all I am what I eat in more ways than one, my whole demeanour is totally different when I am happy with myself!!
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

7/21 139.2 - No structured walking as childminding little DGS, so 168 calories over, but no binge, in fact 6 days binge free, let’s keep it that way.
7/22 139.2 - no structured walking as raining in-between running errands πŸ₯². Managed to just about break even with calories, but carbs 18 over.
7/23 139.2 - 5.22 miles walked yesterday, it was cut short by the rain - again ! Calories 391 over; it was a strange afternoon, went to a living wake bbq for lunch/dinner, so choice of low calorie food was limited and he had brought a large box of cider for us all to drink, I did indulge in half a pint to have a drink with him; it was all about our friend.
7/24 139.6 – no structured walking, with rain (again!), travelling back from Aylesbury and Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues orchestra concert , with guest Pauline Black from Selecta – a brilliant show! Stayed within calorie limits.
7/25 138.4 – 8.24 miles walked, 20% exercise calories eaten back. At last a drop!
