My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 63 years old and from the Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

08/01-193.6-(Trend Weight 195.2)- I’ve changed my goals to 4 pounds per month instead of 5. That is one even pound per week with the half week being allowed for normal fluctuations or special occasions or travel. Seems easier and more realistic. Tomorrow I travel to the hospital for a CT scan of my lungs. They are still watching me for the nodule they found there a few years ago. My oncology appt at the University Hospital is closer to the end of the month and they want the information ahead of time. They keep checking it for behaviors of cancer, growth and signs to the breast cancer I had metastasizing. Hopefully it will all go okay. Well, my friends, good luck to you all. Let's make August count!

08/02-194.6-(Trend Weight 195.2)- I was absolutely FLOORED when I stepped on the scale all 5 times during this earlier than usual weigh-in before travel. Up a FULL pound? I was under 1000 calories for the day yesterday, no exercise because of no time but a good elimination for TMI. Why oh Why? I can only figure that it was no sleep and up early today for the travel to CT scan? I dunno. We’ll see what happens in the next couple of days after travel and the dust settles.

Well hello August! Summer seems to be flying by!
I am Amanda, I am from Michigan. I lost 50 pounds last year but have been stuck at pretty much the same weight for about 7 months. This month I would like to put a dent in that number! Hooray for willpower!

    SW: 250
    UGW: 150
    7/31: 199.9
    8/31 GW: 195

    8/1: 199.4
    8/2: 199.9
    8/3: 199.9
Ultrasound was painful but results were clear thankfully. Everyone’s thoughts and prayers must have worked! I need to figure out a reason for this swelling though.

As of 5:00 today I am on VACATION! ☀️🏖️

Welcome, welcome, welcome to all our newcomers! 🦋

08/03-196.8-(Trend Weight 195.3)- I was gone yesterday in my travels to the CT scan for about 12 hours. We had two meals out. While I watched my portions, we all know about hidden sodium in restaurant food. I was up all night going pee as my lower legs, ankles and abdomen hold this badly. Less pain in the ankles today. No TMI today so that doesn’t help. I have to continue to push water today to get rid of the contrast dye. My arm from the elbow all the way down to the hand is black and blue. Because I can’t use the right side (previous breast cancer/lymph removal) I can only use the left and they kept hitting scar tissue inside my veins from so much use. It took 4 tries and 3 techs but they finally got the I.V. in. Today I feel like an old lady who is falling apart instead of a middle-aged woman with lots of life and vitality left. I’m going to be extra careful with my diet today to mitigate the damage from the restaurant food. I’ll also be elevating my feet several times today. Gonna fit in a little fitness too I hope.

@deepwoodslady You got this, the sodium is the worst - keep drinking those liquids! Rest and take care of yourself today.
