8/20 - 155.2 - I have been logging all my food and this gain must be from sodium.
    8/21 - 154.9
8/22 - 155.2 - Not enough water yesterday. I have lunch with a friend today, so I'll have to watch what I order.

Hi all, I'm Amanda, late joining this round but need this group! I am so stalled 10 lbs above my original goal weight. I don't know if I necessarily want to weigh 120 but I would like to shed a few for sure!

    SW Round 233: 129.0 on 8/19

    8/20: 130.0

8/21: 130.2 Hmpf! Hoping my body is holding on to water from pizza and wings for dinner, plus achy muscles after running 9 miles yesterday. I have 3 more full training weeks before the half-marathon on September 17th and I feel like I can definitely do it (albeit slowly)! I joined this RunDot program that has a customized training plan based on my own thresholds and it helps me not bonk when I'm running. It gives me pretty slow target paces but TBH I think that's really the best thing for me to avoid injury or burning out. It estimates that my pace will be 11:30 per mile which is okay with me! Anyway, today I'm just going to take my dog for a walk and do some strength training via Peloton. My dog Pancake returned from a 2-week board and train on Saturday and we haven't had a chance to practice a lot of her skills yet. So the walk will be less of a workout for me and more of a mental workout for her. She pulls on her leash really badly so it takes a lot of effort to keep her focused! Hoping one day she can just know that's the expectation. My other dog is at training now, and he isn't showing his trainer any of his issues which is super annoying. He usually lunges for cars and squirrels and such and I guess he just isn't doing it. His training may be the biggest financial mistake I've made in a while. Whoops.

8/22: 132!! I don't understand what's going on. Well, actually I do. I am eating too much. Yesterday I was so hungry during the day. I think a lot of it is due to my running and strength training, but I'm not finding the correct fuel for my body. Yesterday I had a binge session of sourdough toast with butter. 3 slices in sequence. 1 slice, break, 1 slice, break, and yet another slice. I really haven't been prone to binge snacking until recently. I also got a silly Starbucks coffee. Whyyy?? On the plus side, I finally got a good night's sleep last night!! My 2-year-old slept through. He's been waking up each night and climbing into my bed. I'm sure it won't happen again any time soon, but for today, I feel pretty good. Maybe that will help me with the snack choices.

WOW! Thanks for all of the acronyms! I will admit that I was just trying to think of ones that pertain to this message board but I still had missed many! I’ve added them all to my document so I will post it at the beginning of next round.

TMI - too much information - a euphemism for bowel movement ! :D

    My Daily Notes ✶233✶
8/20 ✶ I’m thrilled to have found this challenge. This is not my first ‘rodeo’ so to speak, but to be quite honest the older I get the less motivated I get to try again. I know HOW to lose weight but I just haven’t figured up how to KEEP IT OFF. I’ll lose upwards of 20, 30 and even 50+ lbs with any gven attempt but then, all of a sudden, and for no apparent reason, I find myself going back to my old eating habits and sedentery lifestyle. Before I know it i’m right back to square one again. It’s depressing to stand on that scale after an extended hiatus only to see all of your hard work and accomplishments have reverted back to zero or worse yet, your even heavier than before. I am finding it especially hard this time to get myself motivated as my mind is not in a good place. I’ve starting thinking that perhaps I am doomed to be ‘morbidely obese’ (it’s in my DNA or something) and I should just give up the good fight...BUT I am quickly reminded of the general aches and pains, and that overall bloatness that I experience each day as a result of being almost 300 lbs and how much better I feel, both physically, and emotionally, when I have lost weight in the past. Reminding myself of that ‘feeling’ is really the only thing keeping me afloat these days.
I’m hanging on for dear life. I need to get myself out of this rut…
10 days is just what I need to get my butt back on track!! ((HUGS))

8/21 ✶ No weigh-in today as we are away from home. Going to swing by Walmart before heading to the hotel (comfort suites) so I can pick up stuff to make salads. Perhaps a rotisserie chicken if they have one. Living out of a suitcase 4 days a week is challenging, especially when it comes to meals. The room fridges are pretty small and sometimes it's just as easy to grab a pizza or burger for hubby and me. Hubby works out of town on weekdays and I usually accompany him. This week I'm going to try making our meals in the room (salads ect) and see if that makes a difference. There is no kitchenette but we do have a microwave.

8/22 ✶ At the hotel, no weigh-in and I am sick as a dog today. 🥵 My nose is running, I have this big *kitten* cold sore pop up on my lip that hurts like hell, my entire body hurts all over, I have a massive throbbing headache 🤧😫 and up until an hour or so ago I had severe chills, 🥶🥵no doubt a fever. I took some Aleve which seems to have knocked down the fever and it's helping with the aches. I felt it coming on last night and my nose has been running like a faucet for a couple of days. Hopefully this 'bug' will pass quickly. The good news, the salad I made yesterday for me and hubby was delicious. I stayed on track with my eating goals. I'm going back to bed now...hubby is working so I'm going to snuggle up to my little weenie dog (Bitsy). She always makes me feel better...oh yeah, mental note, PACK COFFEE POT next week. The coffee in this hotel is horrible.

I had had to have someone explain that one to me, as I know the standard TMI use. Had not made sense in the posts for the longest time. :P
