08/14-194.2-(Trend Weight: 195.1)- Prep cooking and pre-logging helped. But I know I could have done even better. I saw a lower drop than an increase back up to this. I must not give into temptations and I need to remember that all those foods will still be available when I’ve reached my goal. Hopefully then, better habits will be in place, less cravings, more control, better working body in regards to diabetes fat storage etc. etc. Yes, it will all still be available later, I don’t need to eat it right now. I don’t expect a worldwide famine anytime soon.
08/21-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Yesterday was a huge birthday party for my DGD age 3. Pizza, chips, cake, ice cream was the menu. Soda too, but I stuck to water. Everything feels tight around the waist and I know that it’s more than just water retention, even if that is a part of it. I think I’ll hold off from weighing until all my flurry of back-to-back-to-back events are over. Too depressing. And I don’t need the scale numbers to tell me to watch my choices and portions! Today is a day at home with the handymen but tomorrow I travel 4 hours each way for my mammogram and oncology appointment at the University Hospital. Lunch and dinner will be at restaurants. So I go on the 22nd, am home but will skip the following morning weigh-in on the 23rd, give myself a buffer day on the 24th (have an appointment but it’s semi-local so no restaurant necessary). I’ll weigh in on the 25th after one buffer day and see what all the travel, birthday celebrations, festivals and County Fair has yielded. In the meantime, I am going to tweak my MFP goals (again). It really is necessary. What I am doing is not sustainable even if it sounds good on paper.

08/21-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- Yesterday was a huge birthday party for my DGD age 3. Pizza, chips, cake, ice cream was the menu. Soda too, but I stuck to water. Everything feels tight around the waist and I know that it’s more than just water retention, even if that is a part of it. I think I’ll hold off from weighing until all my flurry of back-to-back-to-back events are over. Too depressing. And I don’t need the scale numbers to tell me to watch my choices and portions! Today is a day at home with the handymen but tomorrow I travel 4 hours each way for my mammogram and oncology appointment at the University Hospital. Lunch and dinner will be at restaurants. So I go on the 22nd, am home but will skip the following morning weigh-in on the 23rd, give myself a buffer day on the 24th (have an appointment but it’s semi-local so no restaurant necessary). I’ll weigh in on the 25th after one buffer day and see what all the travel, birthday celebrations, festivals and County Fair has yielded. In the meantime, I am going to tweak my MFP goals (again). It really is necessary. What I am doing is not sustainable even if it sounds good on paper.
08/28-193.6-(Trend Weight: 196.4)- I laid around all weekend babying myself. No exercise. I didn’t even get dressed. Just not feeling the greatest. Day 4 of no TMI. I just wasn’t as hungry with no tummy relief. Lower tummy still feeling like it’s full of steel Perry marbles. My meals were normal but no desire to snack so my night time snacks were skipped. Maybe I can learn a lesson here? Anyway, Metamucil, here I come. You are my last real hope!

I have turned in to the hungry caterpillar.
I eat semi healthy during the week and then the weekend just snowballs. I am flirting with 80 again. Which is a threshold I would rather not cross again.
I know I would sleep better and feel better if I excerzised but I feel to tired to start. I walk the puppy every other day. But it's is not supposed to walk long walks yet. But I need to go on my elliptical the days It's not my turn to walk the dog.

@deepwoodslady . Well aren’t you sweet. Thank you! I’d be happy to share with you what I’ve been doing. It’s extreme and I know it, but with a bum thyroid, there’s no other way (for me anyway). I forego breakfast for a walk. I track 8000 steps on my fitness tracker. At 12:30PM, I have an Organic plant based protein shake. At 5:30, I eat a sensible dinner. I will have a vegetable or salad with usually either chicken or fish and eat red meat sparingly. I keep my calories between 1000-1100. If I eat fruit, I opt for berries since they are lower in sugar. After dinner, I walk another 8000 steps. The hardest part of my day is night time. If I sit in front of the TV, I’ll snack. So, I distract myself with chores or laundry or a project of some kind. Sometimes, I’ll call a friend I haven’t spoken with in awhile, anything to keep my hands busy. It’s challenging with a full time job. Oftentimes, I’m meal prepping when I should be sleeping. I guess you can say the switch flipped for me. I just want to get healthy now. So, it’s hard, but so is being overweight. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.3
