    I've been completely out of the loop with this challenge. I had a total knee replacement on July 19. In Aug my special needs daughter developed a kidney stone which will be destroyed with lithotripsy on Oct. 9 and was in the ICU with sepsis for a day and hospital for three more days. Yesterday we went to the ER with a large blood clot in her thigh. Also I've had a lot of planned work on my house while dealing with unplanned health crises.

    @jedaschultz I'm sending UP prayers and sending OUT good vibes to you and for your entire family. Don't forget to take care of yourself too during these crisis'.

    Hi. I’ve been really busy with work and haven’t been able to devote as much time to food prepping and grocery shopping the way I normally do. I find it’s key to success. I have continued to keep up the walking however, and it’s so much more enjoyable now that a hint of Autumn is in the air. The weight loss has leveled off, and it’s getting more difficult to lose as much weight as I was during the summer. The scale is still moving in the right direction though, so I’ll take it. Good luck everyone as we head into the final week of this challenge.

    @Juslilly I'd say you're doing just fine! It's normal for the weight loss to level off, even if you keep doing the exact same thing, because your calorie deficit is getting smaller relative to your current weight. You know, eating x calories at 200 lbs gives you more of a calorie deficit than eating the same amount of calories at 175 lbs. All perfectly normal and good. I always love seeing your updates because you've made such nice steady progress over the summer.

    @jedaschultz & @zappa2017 Sorry to hear of your health issues (and your daughter's as well, Jeda). I hope you all feel better soon, so you can enjoy the fall and get back to your regular routine.

    @deepwoodslady You're SO CLOSE to green! I'm convinced you can get there this month. Go for it!

    @Cheery83 Your puppy's escapades have been making me smile for weeks. This too shall pass. Having a sense of humor certainly makes things easier, haha

    @denanowotny Congrats on your 9 months' sobriety, that is an awesome accomplishment. I highly recommend this book: Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Emotional Eating -- it has helped me solve my ice cream (and other sugar) problem once and for all. Hang in there, you got this!

    @takinitalloff I suppose that’s true. I just can’t see doing anything more than what I’ve been doing to move the numbers on the scale any faster. I am giving it my all, so it’s going to have to be enough. Thanks for the encouragement. Congratulations on reaching your Sept goal early. Heck of a job! Proud of you and the hard work you have put into it.

    Good Morning MFP Buddies,

    Here we are… the final weigh in of the challenge. I did really well this week even though I missed my challenge goal by 2.5 pounds. I’m pleased. This week, I increased my walking and decreased my caloric intake by 150 calories per day (which Was super difficult for me). I’ve lost 28.5 pounds over these last three months with your constant support and encouragement. I thank you all for keeping me focused and motivated. I intend to participate in Jeda’s next challenge which is a continuation of this one, and hope to see many of you there. A special thanks to Jeda. Good luck to you all on your fitness journey.

    09/18-190.4-(Trend Weight: 192.1)- It’s been a pretty good week of staying on track and getting in my exercise. However, I’m not exactly perfect so there’s that. I’m pretty happy with my overall progress which is pretty good for an old gal like me!

    09/25-188.8-(Trend Weight: 190.4)- I’ve done very well this week (not counting the ONE night of unplanned cookies!). Both the scale and the trend weight have been cooperating. I’m really working on some better habits. I always weigh in on the 1st and last day of every month for a full monthly view so I will be back on the 30th.

    What a blessing! At the beginning of the challenge, I remember thinking, “it would be so cool to get to 220 by the end of September,” and little did I know, I would be at 217! The power of consistency is so amazing! Thank you all for the accountability, whether you know it or not. This is more than posting an update on a message board. There is a mental element to it, and I am excited to see what we accomplish in the fall!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    I used the calculator that @Walela617 shared. So it calculated lowering my calories by 500 and my slightly active lifestyle, I could lose 13 lbs by October 5th. So I am going for it. My June 28th weight was 193lbs

    Then I have been chipping away at some weight till yesterday I was 78.2. But this morning I lost another kg overnight. Wich I am not sure where went. Might have to use my old scales and my current scales to see if there is something wrong with the current scales. The dog is currently sleeping with its head out the catdoor. Ending summer where I started. Will weigh in tomorrow to start the fall challenge. I sort of expect to see something between 78.2-77.2.
