These pictures are a great motivation and inspiration to me
@stacie_gourlay_1993 good news it only took me 8kgs/18lbs to reverse my fatty liver. It can totally be done and a few hard months of work and you’ll be healthier for it!

Here’s my 3 year progress. I looked in the mirror one day and decided I needed change. So far I’ve kept it off and still building new muscle, even after 40.

Okay, here I am first time poster. Started my weight loss and health journey on June 14th. 65 days ago. I am 41 years old and I have two teens and a toddler. I found myself relatively active, but never really noticed how much weight I had put on. This last summer I needed to shop for a new swimsuit. I think that's the moment when I realized how bad it was. Then I saw a few pictures of myself in said bathing suit. Catalyst moment right there. I was always so busy taking care of the kids, pets, my husband, and aging/ill parents and grandparents, and I never really took more than 3 minutes to look at myself in the mirror and just keep going. I hit the scales at 240 pounds. I needed change. I began to make myself a priority. I think it slowly packed on with my age, stress, new baby, covid etc. I changed my diet, found a gym that I like and I started with three days a week. Overtime I just kept adding more visits. I hated going in the beginning. I couldn't understand how people could enjoy doing something alone, especially workout. It's not my style but I found a groove and I love going now. Currently I'm up to 6 days a week. 3 days a week I go once a day, and 3 days a week I go twice a day. I've hit multiple little mini milestones but this is my first major milestone. I keep track of everything I eat, all my exercises and here I am hitting my first major milestone of 20 lb weight loss! 20 pounds y'all! I have many more milestones to go and a lot more weight to lose I'm looking forward to watching the progress into a healthier lifestyle.

Wow, @jennmyerswillams, that 20 pounds (enhanced by the exercise, I'll bet) has made a very visible difference in your face/neck!12

@AnnPT77 right? It's such a significant difference. It definitely came down to better diet and solid exercising.8

@amandahowls Awesome transformation! Congratulations!2

Thank you! Still not at goal weight after all this time but have experienced lots of great changes thanks to improved eating and increased exercise that don't show up on the scale. Tracking on this site is a big part of that - it's helped me shift focus from destination to journey - a bit out of sync with the usual logic of diets, but works for me.6
