My bathrobe used to gape open at the bottom when I tied it. No more -- the two sides now overlap21

Was on a trip, been eating anything I wanted. Had spent the previous day at a baking class making these beauties, and ate my fill of them for breakfast.
Was feeling bloated and swollen, heavy footed and ginormous.
Walked in to check out a well known workout gear place based in that city and when the girl asked to help, told her I wasn’t sure of the size. Reached for a medium. She politely told me,”I think you can wear an XS” and swapped what I had in my hand.
The second part of this NSV is, I wore those XS to yoga this morning. As sick as I was before we left to come home, and as run down and wombly as I’ve been feeling, I immediately fell right back into logging, weighing and workout out on my regular schedule.
Now, if only I could work out the pet sitting issues with the High-Anxiety Cat-Traumatizing Dog.
I got 16,000 steps in yesterday simply trying to clean up the carnage inside the house and I’m not done yet. Wtf?!!!! By all indications someone (or two…or three) in this house should be totally bald by now. There is thick fur on every surface, high and low.
*sigh*23 -
Dr. Appointment last Friday. Blood pressure = perfect. Everything good.21

I paddled in my first-ever dragon boat race today. It was fun!28

On Saturday, we went out to see my fiancé's buddy play in his band. I decided to join in the dancing when they played Cotton Eye Joe, Cha Cha Slide, and Cupid Shuffle during the intermission. Made it through all three dances with energy to spare!25

I had rolled oats for dinner instead of the fish and chips everyone else was eating.18

My wife and I went on a wandering road trip over the weekend for our anniversary. Drive time has always been snack time for me. I made a small bag of pretzels last the whole weekend AND I recorded them. :-)20

Starting to see some definition in my stomach! (is that spelt right?)12

Bought 4 more pair. Wearing a pair now. Hope I can still wear them next summer.17 -
Was able to do up my bra with no extender20

Wanted a chocolate bar and a sandwich. Went to the supermarket and brought a single banana and am making clean peanut butter cups at home.15

I’ve started doing up my bra behind my back instead of having to do it in front and then twist it around. Surely that’s some sort of progress.
I remember years ago when I went to see a GP about a shoulder problem and she mentioned that I should come back if it progressed so I couldn’t do up my bra for example. She herself was quite skinny - I don’t think she realised not everyone can do it up in the back regardless of shoulder injuries.17 -

I agree this is progress!! I can now zip up my own dresses in the back.... .something I took for granted back in the day. Flexible shoulders is an extremely exciting NSV! 😉 CONGRATULATIONS13 -
My mini victory is now j have lost 12 lbs I can fit back into my favourite cargo pants. I couldn’t get them over my thighs earlier this year 😭20

I attended a party this evening, where they served delicious food and wine. I really had to psych myself up to go, because I knew it would be a calorie challenge. Stuck to 1/2 glass of wine, and only raw veggies from the food table! This was a HUGE win for me, as the food they served was some of my favorites. Yay me!29

One of my walks seems much shorter!16

Today I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Bad sleep, bad mood, felt bloated/old/blah, etc....One of those days you want to hide and can't. Thankfully it's going better now thanks to these NSVs:
1.) I made myself go to the gym anyway.
2.) I discovered a GREAT workout to do on days like this.
First I did the 30-minute beginner express circuit that uses light weights and high reps. The machines are simple to use, and there's a traffic light that tells you when to stop and start.
After that, I walked on the treadmill at a slow pace with the incline cranked up. The incline got my heart rate up without the mental stress of running, so it suited my mood perfectly.
I tend to judge myself harshly if I'm not challenging myself every time, but you know what? Some days I'm just not mentally up for that, and that's OK. Now I have an effective yet "braindead" routine that will let me suceed even when nothing else seems doable. Yay!

I really need this inspiration today! I'm going back to the gym this afternoon after a week hiatus. I slept like crap, I snacked too much yesterday, dinner was too heavy on my stomach and unfortunately lunch is left overs. I have no desire to cook. Im bored. Hopefully I can share in your NSV!9 -
I bought one of those weighted hoop things and it was for a 47 inch waist- I figured I’d have to buy an extension. It fit!! I’ve apparently lost inches off my waist without the scale moving.10

I have a piece of paper beside my bed with three weights. 115kg, 110kg and 105kg. 115 took a while to tick off, and yesterday I was able to tick off 110kg after struggling for months. My weight is now sitting at 107.5kg, so I'm unlikely to go above 110kg again unless I ditch my lifestyle change.
Soon I'll be able to make a new piece of paper with 100kg, 95kg and 90kg. Woohoo! Honestly, it felt like it was never going to happen.
Once I get below 105kg, I'll be able to ride my scooter again. I'm excited for that. It was my goal to hit 105kg by my birthday and it finally looks possible. My weightloss stalled because I went on holiday for a week and was eating really indulgent meals and then I was sick for several weeks (I'm still sick, but doing ok).14 -
After 12 weeks and -20 lbs, I’m finally to the point of noticing some cool changes. The most recent happened last week. I was riding my bike and noticed I was faster. But what surprised me was my shirt was flapping in the wind! Something I didn’t know I missed, but noticed when it suddenly appeared again. It was great!18

A beautiful hike through the woods then around the park!

My dad said my stomach looks leaner, which it didn't to me, until I looked down and could see my feet more easily!17
-
Borrowed my partner’s running jacket and it fit over my hips with no issues.16

Clothes are starting to hang on me. Also walked 2 miles today (having needed a wheelchair for a while and going through multiple rounds of PT, the fact that I was able to start walking again at all was a huge blessing, but 2 miles is the longest I've walked in 1 shot without a break in a long time).27
