    Ultimate goal 70 kg
    Day 1 Thursday June 15 Already the 15th on my side of the world. 79 kg. I am at 25 BMI but my ethnicity calls for a lower BMI to get in a healthy weight range. Went for a 3 hour walk. went 1 cal over my net limit.
    Day 2 Friday June 16 79 kg. No loss but maintaining is better than gaining. Didn't do much today as I'm coming down with a cold.

    Day 3 Saturday June 17 78.8 kg
    Day 4 Sunday June 18 78.4 kg. still coughing quite badly and food doesn't taste great, so keeping the calories down.
    Day 5 Monday June 19 78 kg. 1 kilo in 5 days? Holy cow! I feel I'm eating enough. remind self that weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. Prob this rate won't continue

    Day 7 Wednesday June 21 78.1 kg. Every day it isn't raining I go for at least a 60 min walk. While walking I look out for dropped coins. So far I have found 90 cents (US 54 cents) I plan to save it all and buy myself a non food treat at the end of the Challenge.
    Day 8 Thursday June 22 78 kg. Keeping the salt down - but it's fat I want to lose, not water.
    Day 9 Friday June 23 77.8 kg. Found $2 (US1.27) while walking. This week has def gone well.

    2nd week actual weight: 77.9 kg. Wow. Just wow. Don't know if this rate will continue, but I'll take the loss so far.

    Day 11 Sunday June 25 78kg. Going in the wrong direction! So what did I do? Spent the day eating buttered toast and honey.
    Day 12 Monday June 26 77.8 kg. Feeling lazy today so bought some potato salad for lunch. The spuds were undercooked and the mayo so sweet my teeth almost fell out. Maybe my tastebuds are becoming accustomed to less sugar? I am trying to avoid sauces and dressings and just using herbs and spices in cooking.
    Day 13 Tuesday June 27 77.9 kg. Eating too much bread.
    Day 14 Wednesday June 28 77.5 kg. Raining today so didn't walk. Drinking a load of black coffee which acts as an appetite suppressant for me.
    Day 15 Thursday June 29 77.6 kg. Tried on a size 16D bra, was a little loose. Tried on an old 14C, was a bit too tight. How uncomfortable do I want to be until I lose a little more weight?

    Day 18 – Sunday July 02 76.8 kg. BMI 24.5. 2 more kilos to lose and I will be in the healthy range for my ethnicity. Hint - if you calculate BMI, use a calculator that takes into account age, gender and ethnicity, not just weight and height.

    Day 20 – Tuesday July 04 76.5 kg - have lost a total of 9 kg (19.8 lbs) since starting MFP
    Day 21 – Wednesday July 05 76.7 kg
    Day 22 – Thursday July 06 76.8 kg. I am 65 today! Celebrated retirement by going to an Indian restaurant. Mmmm .... buttered naan bread ....
    Day 23 – Friday July 07 76.4 kg. Today is Day 100 of tracking my food and exercise on MFP. I have lost 9.1 kg altogether (20 lbs). Jeans getting rather loose.

    Day 29 – Thursday July 13 76 kg. Tonight we celebrated Matariki, the Rising of the Seven Sisters (the Pleiades). I was very restrained at the feast, only a small portion of roast pork and sweet potato, no potato bread, and just one scoop of ice cream. Part of the invite required a contribution to the food pantry, so I found a box of cereal, a jar of honey, some other sweet stuff and a can of coconut milk to donate - I hope someone needs to put on weight!
    Day 30 – Friday July 14 75.5 kg! 3.5 kg lost in 30 days! Wow!

    Day 43 – Thursday July 27 75 kg. Think I may be missing recording some calories somewhere. Need to be more vigilant.
    Day 44 – Friday July 28 74.3 kg. Before MFP I weighed 100 kg (220 lbs) but managed to lose a fair bit of it even without tracking. Now I've lost over 25 kg (55 lbs) I tried on a cardigan I knitted for myself back then - and now it's enormous! I feel like the Saggy, Baggy Elephant wearing it. Off to the thrift store with it! I'll knit myself a new one after I've kept the weight off for a while.

    7th week goal weight: Setting weekly goals doesn't do much for me, I find - just keeping my eye on the overall goal and celebrating various milestones as they occur.

    Day 46 – Sunday July 30 75.1 kg. I made a start on decluttering today, after watching youtube videos. Two shopping bags of size 18 clothes donated - I swear on Peter Rabbit's lettuce I will never let myself get that big again. Size 14 now - would like to get back to 12.

    Day 48 – Tuesday August 01 74.5 kg. Sometimes I weigh myself with a towel on. Sometimes I don't.
    Day 49 – Wednesday August 02 74.2 kg.
    Day 50 – Thursday August 03 74 kg. Yay! Halfway through the Challenge and I have lost 5 kg (11 lbs). Another 50 days left to lose the last 4 kg and I will beat goal!

    Day 53 – Sunday August 06 73.9 kg Got a lot of exercise today doing a massive declutter and clean. I can now pretty well fit all my clothes into one closet and one set of drawers. The bedroom looks way neater and I'm thinking of repainting the walls. I learned from You Tube about "depression rooms" - that's what I was living in.

    Day 56 – Wednesday August 09 74 kg. A little off track over the last 2 days as I was on a noho marae (overnight stay at the tribal meeting place) and it is famous for kai moana (seafood). I ate a lot! Also I learned to weave a bag for collecting shellfish, so I think I'm going to be eating more ...

    Day 58 – Friday August 11 73.9 kg. ....and when the weight was up, it was up. and when it was down, it was down. and when the number was the same at the end of the week - it was neither up nor down!

    Day 70 – Wednesday August 23 73 kg - think I need to step up the walking more. On these cold winter mornings I've been catching the bus more frequently - especially since I received my Senior Card which gives me a discount on public transport.

    Day 72 – Friday August 25 73 kg. I have been on a thrift store diet for 30 days - except someone gave me some very nice gray yarn, but that doesn't count, right? .... I have also convinced myself that free calories don't count .... wonder why I'm stuck on this plateau?

    Day 73 – Saturday August 26 72.9 Only 26 days to go .... think I'll make it to 72, which was my original goal, maybe not to 70 ....
    Day 74 – Sunday August 27 72.9. Poured with rain all day so missed my daily walk for the first time in quite a few weeks. Spent the day knitted and didn't snack at all - I didn't want to get greasy, sticky fingers on my yarn.
    Day 75 – Monday August 28 72.8 kg. I think I figured out the problem. I wanted to lose 0.5 kg a week, which is 550 cal a day below my TDEE. Initially MFP set my limit at 1280 cal a day. As I lost weight I needed less cal, so my limit gradually went down to 1210. However, MFP doesn't allow less than 1200 cal, so I've been sitting on 1210 for a while, BUT, as my weight has continued to go down, my TDEE has likewise gone down, and the gap between allowed calories and needed calories has narrowed to the point where I'm basically eating at maintenance. So my weight is remaining the same. The solution is either to lower the limit further (which MFP won't allow and it wouldn't be healthy for me anyway) OR increase my TDEE by increasing exercise, and NOT eat all the extra calories allowed - as I have been doing. I think I'll look around for second hand equipment, like a stationary bicycle, which I can use at home on cold mornings when I don't want to do a long walk.
    Day 76 – Tuesday August 29 73 kg. I have found another reason for the weight .... inaccuracies! Thanx to other people also using the bathroom, the scale is liable to move position. And it shows different weights at different parts of the floor - I guess the floor is uneven. So I have to make sure it's always at the same point.... the question is: do I put it where it shows me my highest weight or my lowest?!! Also I need to visit the doctor soon, so will get weighed there and take that number as the most accurate (it's always higher there because I have clothes on, but better to over calculate than under)
    Day 77 – Wednesday August 30 DNW. Got up late and had breakfast and coffee before remembering I hadn't weighed.... think this only the second day I've missed, so not too bad.... being very careful with intake as I feel tomorrow's weigh will reflect two days of eating.
    Day 78 – Thursday August 31 72.5 kg. Yes! feel yesterday's self denial was worthwhile.
    Day 79 – Friday September 01 72.6 kg.

    Day 87 – Saturday September 09 72.5 kg. ...slow down, you're gaining fast, gotta make the weight loss last, looking for fun and feelin' groovy...
    Day 88 – Sunday September 10 72.5 kg. too much bread
    Day 89 – Monday September 11 72.4 kg. Today for the first time, someone asked me if I've lost weight .... Why, yes I have, thank you for noticing. A total of 13 kg (28.6 lb) over 6 months since I began using MFP. Now I am inspired to continue.
    Day 90 – Tuesday September 12 72 kg. Walked across the campus today .... there had obviously been a whale of a party. Among a pile of empties I spotted .... a full can of beer! I haven't had a beer in over 3 years, so I snaffled it.... I'll drink it on a day when I've had plenty of exercise and I'm below my calorie limit.... I found a dollar a bit further on.
    Day 91 – Wednesday September 13 72 kg. Dances With Scales.
    Day 92 – Thursday September 14 71.9 kg. Can I drop to 71.5 over the next 8 days? That would be a total of 7.5 kg (16.5 lb) lost over 100 days .... already planning to drop to 67 kg in the next round....
    Day 93 – Friday September 15 71.8 kg.

    Day 94 – Saturday September 16 71.5 kg! ....anybody here seen my excess kilos? Can you tell me where they've gone? .... thought I saw them waddling over the hill.... I just looked around and they were gone.

    Yes, Robin. It goes to show, in spite of everything, a persistent calorie deficit will always prevail.
    Day 96 – Monday September 18 71.7 kg. .....slip sliding away .... the nearer your destination the more you're slip sliding away ...
    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 71.8 kg. Haaalllppp! It's going in but not coming out.
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 72 kg. I heard weight loss being compared to playing with a yoyo while walking up a mountain. The yoyo goes up and down but the overall progress is upward. Just took a look at my weight loss graph in Reports - the line is a squiggle but the trend is definitely going down.
    Day 99 – Thursday September 21 I am averaging just under 1600 cal a day, with a 2 hour daily walk.....sooooo.... around 500 cal deficit. That is approx 1 lb or .5 kg a week which is what I've lost over the last 14 weeks.

    Hi All! I'm Jenny from the Bronx, NY (not THAT Jenny from the Bronx ha ha) and I'm in for the upcoming 100 day challenge, hope you don't mind if I hop on for the last week of this one too! I'm determined to get back on track STARTING TODAY!! I was down 25 pounds at the end of July, then let vacations and summer fun derail me yet again. Enough is enough!!

    Day 96 – Monday September 18 - 214.6. Just did a 30 min workout & stretch. Starting off right!!
    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 - 212.6. Gotta love the first week water whoosh...got up early and got a pool workout in with the hubby. I recently started back up at my job after having about six weeks off (the perils of being freelance) and it is SO much easier to stay on track when I don't have so much free time. ;)
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 - 212.2. Did a low impact youtube workout and a nice yoga stretch. Day 3 is usually the day it gets much easier to stick to plan, and this time is no different. Feeling good!
    Day 99 – Thursday September 21 - 211.6. Keep that first week water whoosh going! Just did a 30 minute Youtube video - am loving "BurpeeGirl" videos, where she specifies "knee friendly" - break a sweat without hurting myself! Then a yoga stretch. Feeling strong & solid!

    I generally do Fitness Marshall each day as many on this forum know. I am addicted to them and when I don't do at least 2 or 3 songs my day doesn't go well.

IF you were feeling especially adventurous and decided to join us for a paddle I could bring an extra kayak, paddle etc etc.

    We're meeting at 11 but not launching until about 12noon ( unloading then having lunch first), so, if you did decide to join us, there'd be time for you to drive up.

    We'd only paddle about 1 1/2 hrs, easy paddling. Afterwards, your choice, because coming back to my place is only about an hour away. Have a spare room etc downstairs.

    I won't be making the trip up there however, the following day I will be making my 8 hour drive back toward home.
    Actually my plan for Friday is to lay in the sun and read. Thinking Mara Lake beach, which is 4-5 minutes drive from here.
    I will leave the Motel early on Saturday morning. My last name is Burns, so I will get my money's worth of paying for lodging : - )

    I am Dawn. 5'2", 63 years old as of September 20th.
    My BMI and stuff like that shows my optimum healthy weight should be between 110 and 118.

    I have made a decision to limit restaurant food to 6 times per year since I seem to gain a few pounds each time which could take 3-6 months to get back off from one visit.
    Rolling total so far: 3 4 out of the 6

    1st week goal weight: 143.4 (ambitious?)
    1st week actual weight: 144.4 - Started the week (and the 100) at 144.4, so no change

    2nd week goal weight: Less than the beginning of the week, 142.2
    2nd week actual weight: 142.6, so gained 0.4

    3rd week goal weight: 141.4
    3rd week actual weight: 144.6 - Started the week at 142.4, so 1.8 pound gain this week

    4th week goal weight: 143.6
    4th week actual weight: 145.0 - Started the week at 144.6, so gained 0.4 this week

    5th week goal weight: 142.6
    5th week actual weight: 143.2 - Started the week at 143.6, so lost 0.4

    Day 94 – Saturday September 16 - 144.2 - Ow!! Up 2 pounds? : - ( Had my steroid shot in the morning in my ankle and then went to work with it frozen. 4 hour shift, so the freezing was just coming out as I finished. 36 hours after the injection "flares" are expected. Supposed to take it easy. I did not even get Fitness Marshall in yesterday, although lots of steps, 500 calories worth. A friend came in to town to help me get my peppers and tomatoes covered before my upcoming trip. Taking today off altogether (worked 32 straight without a day off), leave for work at 7am tomorrow and at 3:30 I will be officially on holiday. Departing Monday morning. No aerobics or anything today, doc's orders. I really would like to get my grass cut though, and clean my house.
    Day 95 – Sunday September 17 - 143.4 - It could even be less since it was a 4:30 weigh in. I did get my grass cut yesterday. Going to add a couple of more pieces of thick clear plastic to a couple of gaps in my veggie coverings this afternoon after work, it looks like the temps are really going to dip while I am away.
    Day 96 – Monday September 18 - 142.6 - Departing today. I am going to have a good breakfast before I go and take rice cakes with Almond butter in my small cooler for snacks along the way. I still need to load my big cooler for the trip, I have a full kitchenette in my Motel, even though I probably only need a fridge and microwave.
    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 - I don't know what to say here. I brought my travel scale with me. The first weight was 139.5, I thought that was a bit extreme so stepped off and back on, 148.7!! This was like @Lynn_W. I moved it to a different spot in the motel, 149.8, got off and back on...157.0...no. Moved it again to a different spot, 147.8, stepped off and back on, 137.6. Sooo, I feel like I am not going to get an accurate weigh on my birthday tomorrow. This is important to me, but with a very uneven floor I don't think that it will work. I have had 2 coffees and a water and am fully dressed, but thinking of taking it outside to the concrete...4 different weights there. Oh well. Quite cold out, I go outside of the door to smoke. I notice that there is a basketball net! I will try that. Going to head out to some sort of trail today, only 7 degrees C here right now, only expected to go up to 11 with a chance of rain. Ankle is feeling so-so. However, I will be doing some Fitness Marshall this morning, sat in a car all day yesterday. Beautiful drive.
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 - 144.1 - Wonky scale, but possible that this is close considering my fluctuations throughout these 100 days. I got Chinese food last night, first time in ... 10+ years? It will last me 3 days I think. Black bean chicken, Curry beef, steamed rice. I am only going to count that as one restaurant meal, so 4 out of my 6 for the year. On the menu for today (my birthday) in the afternoon will be Prosecco and Camembert. Very cold here this morning, I got up at 4:30am. It went from 39c to 7c in a day, but it supposed to warm back up to 25c for tomorrow and the next day. I can only guess that the past few days of careful eating and extra commitment to exercise caught up with me. However, yesterday was travel day and I ate at a Chinese food buffet which was a real rare treat. Of course, I overate and also had some sugary desserts afterward. All of those really good habits I thought I had were out the window at a buffet. So I must learn to work on that or stay away from them altogether. So the next scale reading “catching up with me” might not be so good in a day or two based on yesterday, but I will stick to plan, pre-log my meals, drink extra water and make sure I push myself to exercise each night. If that bloat and weight shows up at my doorstep, I’ll be ready for it! I’m happy and grateful today though.

    Day 99-09/21-187.6-(Trend weight 191.2) I got the “7” in there today at 187. I’m so happy that it is all paying off. My handymen left early enough that it allowed me to get to the school in time for walking the hallways again yesterday. They require that I come at 4:30 otherwise I am locked out. I got in over 100 minutes of walking. I got a bit hungry late last night. Bingeing was a possibility but I managed to stick to my guns. I grabbed a small hand full of nuts as an unplanned snack. I knew that it would add a bit over 100 calories to my day but I also knew it was healthy and that it would stave off any uncontrollable hunger. I worked. I’m so glad I didn’t give in to those snacky night-time, TV time monsters. When I’ve stayed in the 187’s (or less) a day or two longer I will cross off my 190’s with confidence.

    Strength Training Mini Challenge Round 5:
    I will continue to work on batwing arms and flabby thighs. I will also try to engage in some floor/standing/chair exercising to tighten stomach area especially. I will try to add in some aerobic exercise like walking or dancing or the exercise bike AT LEAST 5 days a week. This is not my dream, it is my pledge to myself.


    Day 01 - Sept 18 – 8 min with 5 lb weights, 25 min of aerobic dance, 75 min of walking in the school halls track, 15 min of regular floor exercises.
    Day 02 - Sept 19 – 5 min with 5 lb weights. Travel day for dental cleanings. Shopping day too. Not as many steps as I had hoped though.

    Ultimate goal 70 kg
    Day 1 Thursday June 15 Already the 15th on my side of the world. 79 kg. I am at 25 BMI but my ethnicity calls for a lower BMI to get in a healthy weight range. Went for a 3 hour walk. went 1 cal over my net limit.
    Day 2 Friday June 16 79 kg. No loss but maintaining is better than gaining. Didn't do much today as I'm coming down with a cold.

    Day 3 Saturday June 17 78.8 kg
    Day 4 Sunday June 18 78.4 kg. still coughing quite badly and food doesn't taste great, so keeping the calories down.
    Day 5 Monday June 19 78 kg. 1 kilo in 5 days? Holy cow! I feel I'm eating enough. remind self that weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. Prob this rate won't continue

    Day 7 Wednesday June 21 78.1 kg. Every day it isn't raining I go for at least a 60 min walk. While walking I look out for dropped coins. So far I have found 90 cents (US 54 cents) I plan to save it all and buy myself a non food treat at the end of the Challenge.
    Day 8 Thursday June 22 78 kg. Keeping the salt down - but it's fat I want to lose, not water.
    Day 9 Friday June 23 77.8 kg. Found $2 (US1.27) while walking. This week has def gone well.

    2nd week actual weight: 77.9 kg. Wow. Just wow. Don't know if this rate will continue, but I'll take the loss so far.

    Day 11 Sunday June 25 78kg. Going in the wrong direction! So what did I do? Spent the day eating buttered toast and honey.
    Day 12 Monday June 26 77.8 kg. Feeling lazy today so bought some potato salad for lunch. The spuds were undercooked and the mayo so sweet my teeth almost fell out. Maybe my tastebuds are becoming accustomed to less sugar? I am trying to avoid sauces and dressings and just using herbs and spices in cooking.

    Day 14 Wednesday June 28 77.5 kg. Raining today so didn't walk. Drinking a load of black coffee which acts as an appetite suppressant for me.

Part of the invite required a contribution to the food pantry, so I found a box of cereal, a jar of honey, some other sweet stuff and a can of coconut milk to donate - I hope someone needs to put on weight!

    Day 44 – Friday July 28 74.3 kg. Before MFP I weighed 100 kg (220 lbs) but managed to lose a fair bit of it even without tracking. Now I've lost over 25 kg (55 lbs) I tried on a cardigan I knitted for myself back then - and now it's enormous! I feel like the Saggy, Baggy Elephant wearing it. Off to the thrift store with it! I'll knit myself a new one after I've kept the weight off for a while.

    7th week goal weight: Setting weekly goals doesn't do much for me, I find - just keeping my eye on the overall goal and celebrating various milestones as they occur.

    Day 73 – Saturday August 26 72.9 Only 26 days to go .... think I'll make it to 72, which was my original goal, maybe not to 70 ....
    Day 74 – Sunday August 27 72.9. Poured with rain all day so missed my daily walk for the first time in quite a few weeks. Spent the day knitted and didn't snack at all - I didn't want to get greasy, sticky fingers on my yarn.
    Day 75 – Monday August 28 72.8 kg. I think I figured out the problem. I wanted to lose 0.5 kg a week, which is 550 cal a day below my TDEE. Initially MFP set my limit at 1280 cal a day. As I lost weight I needed less cal, so my limit gradually went down to 1210. However, MFP doesn't allow less than 1200 cal, so I've been sitting on 1210 for a while, BUT, as my weight has continued to go down, my TDEE has likewise gone down, and the gap between allowed calories and needed calories has narrowed to the point where I'm basically eating at maintenance. So my weight is remaining the same. The solution is either to lower the limit further (which MFP won't allow and it wouldn't be healthy for me anyway) OR increase my TDEE by increasing exercise, and NOT eat all the extra calories allowed - as I have been doing. I think I'll look around for second hand equipment, like a stationary bicycle, which I can use at home on cold mornings when I don't want to do a long walk.
    Day 76 – Tuesday August 29 73 kg. I have found another reason for the weight .... inaccuracies! Thanx to other people also using the bathroom, the scale is liable to move position. And it shows different weights at different parts of the floor - I guess the floor is uneven. So I have to make sure it's always at the same point.... the question is: do I put it where it shows me my highest weight or my lowest?!! Also I need to visit the doctor soon, so will get weighed there and take that number as the most accurate (it's always higher there because I have clothes on, but better to over calculate than under)
    Day 77 – Wednesday August 30 DNW. Got up late and had breakfast and coffee before remembering I hadn't weighed.... think this only the second day I've missed, so not too bad.... being very careful with intake as I feel tomorrow's weigh will reflect two days of eating.
    Day 78 – Thursday August 31 72.5 kg. Yes! feel yesterday's self denial was worthwhile.
    Day 79 – Friday September 01 72.6 kg.

    Day 90 – Tuesday September 12 72 kg. Walked across the campus today .... there had obviously been a whale of a party. Among a pile of empties I spotted .... a full can of beer! I haven't had a beer in over 3 years, so I snaffled it.... I'll drink it on a day when I've had plenty of exercise and I'm below my calorie limit.... I found a dollar a bit further on.
    Day 91 – Wednesday September 13 72 kg. Dances With Scales.
    Day 92 – Thursday September 14 71.9 kg. Can I drop to 71.5 over the next 8 days? That would be a total of 7.5 kg (16.5 lb) lost over 100 days .... already planning to drop to 67 kg in the next round....

    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 71.8 kg. Haaalllppp! It's going in but not coming out.
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 72 kg. I heard weight loss being compared to playing with a yoyo while walking up a mountain. The yoyo goes up and down but the overall progress is upward. Just took a look at my weight loss graph in Reports - the line is a squiggle but the trend is definitely going down.
    Day 99 – Thursday September 21 I am averaging just under 1600 cal a day, with a 2 hour daily walk.....sooooo.... around 500 cal deficit. That is approx 1 lb or .5 kg a week which is what I've lost over the last 14 weeks.
    Day 100 – Friday September 22 71.5 kg. I found a total of $NZ23.10 (USD13.69) in dropped coins on my daily walks. I intend to keep saving through the next Challenge until the end of the year and buy myself something nice in the January sales.

    I generally do Fitness Marshall each day as many on this forum know. I am addicted to them and when I don't do at least 2 or 3 songs my day doesn't go well.

    I checked him out - he's a trip!!! But way beyond my abilities both in terms of knees and in terms of dancing - I seriously am the worst dancer on earth. I can't move in any dance-y way, and it just frustrates me to try tbh. But I can see how that would be a fun and energizing way to start your day!!!

    Hi All! I'm Jenny from the Bronx, NY (not THAT Jenny from the Bronx ha ha) and I'm in for the upcoming 100 day challenge, hope you don't mind if I hop on for the last week of this one too! I'm determined to get back on track STARTING TODAY!! I was down 25 pounds at the end of July, then let vacations and summer fun derail me yet again. Enough is enough!!

    Day 96 – Monday September 18 - 214.6. Just did a 30 min workout & stretch. Starting off right!!
    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 - 212.6. Gotta love the first week water whoosh...got up early and got a pool workout in with the hubby. I recently started back up at my job after having about six weeks off (the perils of being freelance) and it is SO much easier to stay on track when I don't have so much free time. ;)
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 - 212.2. Did a low impact youtube workout and a nice yoga stretch. Day 3 is usually the day it gets much easier to stick to plan, and this time is no different. Feeling good!
    Day 99 – Thursday September 21 - 211.6. Keep that first week water whoosh going! Just did a 30 minute Youtube video - am loving "BurpeeGirl" videos, where she specifies "knee friendly" - break a sweat without hurting myself! Then a yoga stretch. Feeling strong & solid!
    Day 100 – Friday September 22 - 211.6. No time for a workout today, had to do the grocery shopping before DH takes the car for the weekend. Boo! Though it's a beautiful day, I might try to steal away for a quick 15 min walk during the workday.

    I did a 25 minute workout of Burpee girl. Not for me, but if it is something that you like you will stick to it. I did 35 minutes of Fitness Marshall after that to open up my rib cage and stuff. I have one bad knee, but dancing doesn't hurt it, I just don't do any deep lunges.

    Fitness Marshall...it takes about 5-10 times of doing a song until we get the movements, he puts out a new one each week. I have learned dance moves for sure!

    Others on here have seen/tried these, but I will post again because they are my faves for opening up my body and lubricating the joints and lifting my spirits.

    I am Dawn. 5'2", 63 years old as of September 20th.
    My BMI and stuff like that shows my optimum healthy weight should be between 110 and 118.

    I have made a decision to limit restaurant food to 6 times per year since I seem to gain a few pounds each time which could take 3-6 months to get back off from one visit.

    Day 94 – Saturday September 16 - 144.2 - Ow!! Up 2 pounds? : - ( Had my steroid shot in the morning in my ankle and then went to work with it frozen. 4 hour shift, so the freezing was just coming out as I finished. 36 hours after the injection "flares" are expected. Supposed to take it easy. I did not even get Fitness Marshall in yesterday, although lots of steps, 500 calories worth. A friend came in to town to help me get my peppers and tomatoes covered before my upcoming trip. Taking today off altogether (worked 32 straight without a day off), leave for work at 7am tomorrow and at 3:30 I will be officially on holiday. Departing Monday morning. No aerobics or anything today, doc's orders. I really would like to get my grass cut though, and clean my house.
    Day 95 – Sunday September 17 - 143.4 - It could even be less since it was a 4:30 weigh in. I did get my grass cut yesterday. Going to add a couple of more pieces of thick clear plastic to a couple of gaps in my veggie coverings this afternoon after work, it looks like the temps are really going to dip while I am away.
    Day 96 – Monday September 18 - 142.6 - Departing today. I am going to have a good breakfast before I go and take rice cakes with Almond butter in my small cooler for snacks along the way. I still need to load my big cooler for the trip, I have a full kitchenette in my Motel, even though I probably only need a fridge and microwave.
    Day 97 – Tuesday September 19 - I don't know what to say here. I brought my travel scale with me. The first weight was 139.5, I thought that was a bit extreme so stepped off and back on, 148.7!! This was like @Lynn_W. I moved it to a different spot in the motel, 149.8, got off and back on...157.0...no. Moved it again to a different spot, 147.8, stepped off and back on, 137.6. Sooo, I feel like I am not going to get an accurate weigh on my birthday tomorrow. This is important to me, but with a very uneven floor I don't think that it will work. I have had 2 coffees and a water and am fully dressed, but thinking of taking it outside to the concrete...4 different weights there. Oh well. Quite cold out, I go outside of the door to smoke. I notice that there is a basketball net! I will try that. Going to head out to some sort of trail today, only 7 degrees C here right now, only expected to go up to 11 with a chance of rain. Ankle is feeling so-so. However, I will be doing some Fitness Marshall this morning, sat in a car all day yesterday. Beautiful drive.
    Day 98 – Wednesday September 20 - 144.1 - Wonky scale, but possible that this is close considering my fluctuations throughout these 100 days. I got Chinese food last night, first time in ... 10+ years? It will last me 3 days I think. Black bean chicken, Curry beef, steamed rice. I am only going to count that as one restaurant meal, so 4 out of my 6 for the year. On the menu for today (my birthday) in the afternoon will be Prosecco and Camembert. Very cold here this morning, I got up at 4:30am. It went from 39c to 7c in a day, but it supposed to warm back up to 25c for tomorrow and the next day. I am planning on a trip down to Salmon Arm this morning despite the cool temps. All of the sundresses, shorts, bathing suits that I brought...lol. It will be a hoodie, gloves, and coat this chilly morning : - )
    Day 99 – Thursday September 21 - 143.1 - Kept the scale in exactly the same spot. Enjoyed the trip down to Salmon Arm. Sticking closer to here today.
    Day 100 – Friday September 22 - 142.8 - Had such a lovely Riverfront Park trail walk in the morning. Flat, lots of benches along the way to stop and ponder, also to stretch. I went to a great thrift store, then Mara Lake beach in the afternoon ostensibly to read my book but there was a woman there (first time that I have see a person there) who wanted to talk about how the vaccine was a big conspiracy. Not the way that I wanted to spend my book reading time, but I had sat outside at a lovely cafe having a cappucino and reading for awhile prior to that. I plan to go back to Mara beach today (25c) , but have big headphones to put on in hopes of not engaging in talk if that woman comes there again. Leaving tomorrow morning : - ( I was finally just starting to relax and feel like I was having a vacation. What? I thought that tomorrow was the final day of the 100!

    Round 2: 11.75" start, 11.5" Even though my weight is higher, my batwings are getting smaller?
    I have a mole, so it is easy to measure in exactly the same place.
    Round 3: 11.5" - Wow, a whole inch off of my upper arm since beginning this!!
    Round 4: 11.0" start 11.5- So pleased!!

    Day 99-09/21-187.6-(Trend weight 191.2) I got the “7” in there today at 187. I’m so happy that it is all paying off. My handymen left early enough that it allowed me to get to the school in time for walking the hallways again yesterday. They require that I come at 4:30 otherwise I am locked out. I got in over 100 minutes of walking. I got a bit hungry late last night. Bingeing was a possibility but I managed to stick to my guns. I grabbed a small hand full of nuts as an unplanned snack. I knew that it would add a bit over 100 calories to my day but I also knew it was healthy and that it would stave off any uncontrollable hunger. I worked. I’m so glad I didn’t give in to those snacky night-time, TV time monsters. When I’ve stayed in the 187’s (or less) a day or two longer I will cross off my 190’s with confidence.

    Day 100-09/22…..(Final Weigh- In)-188.0-(trend weight 190.9) My uptick must be a big fluctuation as I was having a difficult time even eating enough calories yesterday. I actually had to add fake food I didn’t eat to my diary in order to get over 1000 cals so MFP would let me close out. I did an extra long session on the exercise bike too. Not really a TMI issue so it must be hormones or perhaps my food CHOICES. They were not as good as usual but not horribly bad choices either. I’ll aim for healthier today and will try hard to increase my calories to a larger number on my zig-zag experiment to see if that helps. I lost 6 pounds total this round. Somewhere along the weekly counts I added or subtracted wrong, but I went from 194 to 188 even. Most of the loss was at the end of the challenge. I noticed that in 2022 I did much better in the fall and winter than I did in the summer so this is not surprising. I am proud of everyone who showed up, even if things were not going perfectly. We all appreciate the support. I appreciate all the advice, the honesty and the willingness to share anything you could with all of us. I look forward to seeing you all in the next round. Congratulations to us all for our AMAZING journeys we are on!

    Strength Training Mini Challenge Round 5:
    I will continue to work on batwing arms and flabby thighs. I will also try to engage in some floor/standing/chair exercising to tighten stomach area especially. I will try to add in some aerobic exercise like walking or dancing or the exercise bike AT LEAST 5 days a week. This is not my dream, it is my pledge to myself.


    Day 01 - Sept 18 – 8 min with 5 lb weights, 25 min of aerobic dance, 75 min of walking in the school halls track, 15 min of regular floor exercises.
    Day 02 - Sept 19 – 5 min with 5 lb weights. Travel day for dental cleanings. Shopping day too. Not as many steps as I had hoped though.
    Day 03 - Sept 20 – 5 min with 5 lb weights. 115 min of walking at 2.5 mph. I closed all my circles on my fitbit easily (for once).
    Day 04 - Sept 21 – 5 min with 5 lb weights. 47 min on exercise bike including HIIT. Iso knee therapy x 3.

    Today after 100 days in this challenge
    ❤️❤️I lost 7.8 pounds! ❤️❤️
    Very happy about it!!

    Since my journey begin a few
    days before that, I lost 10.8 pounds.

    I didn’t know if this challenge was for me

    Going on the scale every single day!!!
    Usually I hear people say
    stay away from the scale bla bla bla
    But
    I decided to give it a try
    And I’m so happy I did!!!
    So…
