From 285 starting down to about 225 in these pics. Goal is 205 and I'm fighting some self sabotage right now. There's always ups and downs in this, it's never linear like we want it to be. Gonna keep fighting through until I see what I wanna see

Epic transformation!!!!!!!!
Not treading on your feet, but what do you hope to accomplish at 205? Muscle is denser and heavier than fat.
If you’re trying to look badass and fit, you’re already there. But yours is the only opinion that matters, of course.
I had to add back 15 myself to accommodate muscle, and I’m a 61 year old woman who is not in your league at all. When I got close to the goal I thought I ought to be at, I lost muscle, even though still lifting, and looked like a sickly stick figure. Now, I’m much heavier than I look, but fitter and healthier, and get to eat more. 👍🏻
Even though I chose to add the 15 back, my size didn’t change.
Consider reevaluating your goal as you get closer?
All props to you, young man (hahahah! 😂 I get to say “young man” 😂😂😂).15 -

First off thanks for the kind words and your personal experience. Reevaluating is definitely on the table as I get closer to my goal, but right now I've still get some problem areas. My arms and legs kinda throw people off 😅
I still hold onto some fat in my torso, particularly the love handle and man side boob area. I'm guesstimating that 205lbs will be the weight where these should disappear, but I'm not gonna complain if that happens at 210lbs either lol
I also don't have visible abs at the moment, well unless you squint really hard in the right lighting. I don't necessarily want a 6 pack, but I won't complain about getting a 2 pack12 -

Ain’t nobody as hard on us as we are on ourselves. We magnify “flaws” and often fail to see gains.
Don’t forget, some of that is extra skin and not fat. Even old as dirt like myself, the extra skin has receded considerably, which I credit to keeping up with exercise, particularly the lifting and vigorous yoga. I still have a flubbery Michelin Man ring which others don’t see, which plagues me, but it shrinks a little more every year. 🤷🏻♀️
You’re young enough (and didn’t abuse your body for decades, like moi!) that it should be much faster for you if you’re diligent with the process.
Stick to it. And remember, muscles, like those beauties you’ve earned, need to be fed.
I hope you look yourself in the mirror every morning and thank yourself for the gift you’ve given yourself.
Hugs to ya!11 -

Amazing transformation!26 -
I have chronic migraine, so dieting was out of the question, I started Botox for migraine in 2018 & on the 1 January 2019 I started walking on my treadmill, at first it was 10 minutes at a very slow pace with no incline, over the year I slowly increased the time, by the beginning of 2020 I could walk quickly again for an hour, then I found Zwift & started jogging, by October 2020 I’d gone from 95kgs to 59kgs, I then started adding weights & sit-ups as I had no muscles at all, I now weight 64kgs, I’ve gone from size 18/20 to a size 14 in tops, I have wide shoulders and size 10 in bottoms. For me routine is vital, before I got to bed I set out my workout gear so that as soon as I’m outta bed workout gear goes on & I go work out for at least 30 minutes, usually more, I still eat treats but I now known that’s gonna involve more moving to compensate for it.

@TGG1804 Congrats on your achievement!2

@karlschaeffer Thanks.1

@TGG1804 : Nice progress! I hope all the exercise and weight loss has helped your migraines! My lifelong migraines faded away when I hit my 60's, mystery but welcomed. I would wish that for you!
Thank you I'm 53, through menopause and theyre still here, but I now do Ajovy injections once a month and that has been amazing! I was really glad the botox helped get the ball rolling, in my 30s I was very fit indeed from working in London and walking everywhere when possible. Then the migraine got way way worse and I was on a lot of medication (that didnt really work) but I was too ill to exercise never mind walk and all the weight piled on. I am very thankful to have been given the opportunity of botox and now Ajovy.3 -

On the left, waiting to receive my gold belt in 2019. Just starting this journey. Overweight at 245 lbs. and generally unhealthy. On the right, last night (oct 26, 2023) wearing the same gi, waiting to receive my black belt. Over 4 years into this journey and weighing 176 lbs. Three years straight of healthy habits and 2 years straight of healthy bloodwork. None of this would have been possible without the support of my family, teammates and teachers. No prescription medicine involved, just focus, diet, vitamins, and exercise. Willpower is the most powerful medicine and tool to overcome many health challenges we face today. Every day is another chance to start down the road of self control, self accountability and self love. You waste more energy making excuses why you can’t do it, than the energy it would take to get started. It’s not easy and the road is rocky and bumpy and tiresome at times. When you see the intermediate and long term goals in the distance, the dividends start paying off and you feel the difference in your life. Don’t stop there. Keep going. The momentum just keeps building and building and you start to accomplish amazing things.65 -
