That’s pipe busting weather, sucks.
I’m looking into finally getting a generator because when we lose power, we also lose water and heat.
Ouch - yeah maybe time to. It’s the bullet on the generator. Hopefully you don’t lose it again1 -
Huge rainstorm washed all the snow away0

Many people here have generators,
my ex, my mom, not me 🤨.
We don’t get a lot of snow but ice normally takes the power out.
I’m praying my screeching heater holds on through the winter.🤞
If you can manage it, you should get one, those suckers are expensive.
Hope you don’t have any outages! 🙏

Unfortunately, we have many outages. The good generators cost an arm and a leg but I’m looking for something that will at least just keep the water flowing. Cross your fingers my research yields something good.3 -
Having to take FMLA & PTO concurrently.2

It's barely snowing here and my patient's are cancelling and no showing appointments. Also my provider just left to go home too.1

Well water I assume..
8k watt gen should be plenty. Have one for decades.
Note.. higher wattage = cost more to run.1 -

How the hours spent with your favorite human feel like minutes instead of hours.
....And the cold wind thats dropping the temperatures fast. It was 52 ° at 11 am. Its supposed to be 35 by 2 pm 😢 Not looking forward to the negative temps this weekend.3 -
Ugh. Was hoping to leave for (and return from) the grocery store before the snow started, but got delayed dealing with a demanding new client 😑
My own fault. I should've just said no1 -
I feel like I have an extra shadow,
or maybe a stalker.
I can’t begin to explain how irritated it makes me.2 -
When my son decides to start for home just as the wind and snow are picking up again and he’s driving down from a ski mountain3

Relief
When road condition & visibility got bad he pulled over and waited for a more experienced driver with a better car to come get him. They switched vehicles and crawled home. And then it stopped snowing

Bitter cold is here and I procrastinated as usual so now I have no goose down to wear.3

So gross 😖3 -

Walking the half mile from the parking lot to my office in the snow and wind chills approaching -25F (-32C).2

I will not complain about the weather today. It's 52 F here in Charlotte and only 11 F back home.2

My car accumulating snow

That’s a long walk. I did that for a couple of weeks a few years ago for a temp job. Cold, icy, windy, miserable. Even worse than the brutalist architecture was the brutal weather1 -
I forgot my snow boots at the office last week had to shovel my car out in heels and get myself to work without my boots. But on the bright side the snow is sooooo pretty.2

Aside from not getting paid today...nothing really.1

Not irked. Pissed. I more or less just got my car back in pristine shape from a car accident a few months ago and was dropping off a bag from my sneaky grocery shopping trip and saw there's white paint and a dent on my car. On the side where I had all the other damage and the body shop took care of older mishaps.
I'm pretty sure this is from the person who parks next to me that doesn't know how to stay within the lines. I'm gonna check to see if my car's paint is on theirs and then....well, not sure. But I am SO pissed right now.2
