It's a great system up there. You get good care, and it's affordable. I wonder if I'll still be alive when the USA ever joins you as a First World country and provides health care to everyone the way every other modern country does. It's something we don't have right yet. Some states are getting closer. I may end up with Universal Health Care through the state before it's something that we do as a country. I can dream though.3 -
Getting under 300. Dr. told me at my last check up, that I have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and Crohn's. Started the Specific Carbohydrate Diet to try and bring the Crohn's into remission, and hopefully heal my liver as well. A nice side effect is that I'm losing weight! (Started at 342, 328 now)11

Getting rid of that last bit of cellulite on my thighs. Have seen so much go away, there is like a small lump left and I can see it shrink over time.9

To reach the 70's for the first time since Uni. Weighed in at 86 kg/189.6 lbs yesterday.9

Need to lose 20+ lbs to get back to my pre covid weight. I have a torn meniscus, torn in 2 places, this happened 8 yrs ago. When I am not overweight it doesn't hurt me much and sometimes not at all. After becoming inactive during covid and gaining this weight, the knee became pretty painful. So I'm working on getting back to where I was.
This is me. I fell on my knee in 2018 and did a lot of damage, but I lost weight and it didn't bother me. Lost 65 lbs, but now have regained 25 (well, 30, but I have lost 5 again). I had to stop running and see the doc. I'm so grateful--he gave me a steroid shot in the knee and it worked. I started jogging again. Being unable to jog is one of my worst nightmares; it's so important to my mental health. I'm in this with you!5 -

I want to get my February Challenge award on my Apple Watch. I need to meet my daily MOVE goal 24 times... a tall order in a month that only has 29 days So far I have reached the goal 10 days, and today being the 14th, that means I can only miss one more day this month. I guess I better get moving8

To get under 300Lbs. Was 303 this a.m.10

My first mini goal is 199, which is a 31lb total loss. I've got 12lbs left to go. I'm hoping to reach it by Easter.11

HItting a 315lb deadlift PR. That seems the closest.6

1. Seeing the weight loss trend keep going down over the past 2-3 months (I try not to care about small ups & downs, just the overall trend).
2. staying at or under the amount of calories each day. that being said, today I let myself go 79 over....but I know I have 2 long-ish walks ahead of me carrying my 30 pound daughter, so I will probably be only 29 calories over.
3. a bigger goal: being able to fit into my size 6-8 jeans. eventually, I want to get back into my size 4 jeans, but I don't expect that for a while.5 -
To hit 195 in 2-3 weeks at 199.1 now. Was at 209. Goal is 182 which is what I weighed 2 yrs ago. Was 307 to start. It was kreeping up again and have to nip it in the bud.7

I'm 69 years old and until I hit menopause in my late 40s I had weighed between 120 and 125 since my teens. Then I got up to 175 and managed to whittle my way down to 150 or so. Last summer I couldn't wear a lot of cute clothes that I had because I went up to 160. And my 5 year old granddaughter told me I had a fat butt (she's so cute that I didn't mind it coming from her!). So in mid-August I came back to MyFitnessPal and now weigh 143 and hope for 139. I don't think I'll ever see 125 again but that's OK.10

Can't find my previous post (or rather, I'm too lazy to find it), but I was talking about going swimming again... Which I have been doing! Really enjoying it, and it's even helping a little with my back/neck pain (along with daily walks), so I'm excited to keep it going. The last few weeks I've really been noticing my stamina increasing as well, which is very motivating. My next mini-goal will probably be to drop into the "overweight" range, my BMI is around 31 now, so just a couple kg to go.5

⚖️ Weekly Weigh-in ⚖️
Still feeling weak and tired, slightly nauseous, and short of breath with any exertion. (Issues I was having before I started my diet from liver problems) So no exercise yet.
But at least I'm not experiencing the aching/sharp pains in my liver area any more, and my belly swelling is going down. So my low carb, no sugar diet is working. 🥳
February SW: 322
February GW: 317
UGW: 170
February 11: 322
February 18: 319 (-3lbs)
April in Indiana

@ATnowornever You're off to a good start! I also got amazing results from cutting out sugar, and eating low-carb in general. I like this lifestyle so much better than what I was doing before! I look forward to seeing your progress as the year goes on.3
