The hardest part for me has been when I'm watching TV and the characters drink on the show. It seems to be pretty prevalent in most shows.
I still think I can make it through February since I have nothing planned this month. I'm not sure what my goal should be for next month but the first 2 weekends of March will be tough with some events. The longer I go in February without alcohol the more stressed I get about March since I'll be breaking what is becoming a longer and longer streak.
It's crazy how much you notice when others are drinking when you're trying to stop or cutback. I believe it's a mental connection that we make over time but it also impacts like WHAT I feel like drinking based on the show...totally feel this one and it's usually one of the reasons I go over on the weekends. It's not out partying, it's the easy glass of wine that turns into 2 during a show/movie.
Excellent work on February! You might be surprised how you approach it once you get back to the point of drinking in March!5 -
Friday accountability check-in:
Congrats to those who are working hard on their LA goals, and sending encouragement to those who need it.
I’ve been exercising and feeling really good about that, but had wine two nights in a row and now I’m not too happy with myself. Those were my planned AF days. 😖
I need to find a better way to cope with some very stressful extended family stuff going on.
Stay strong everyone (advice I need to give to
myself)!

Hello dear L.A. group
Been a bit MIA here(sorry).
Still a ^&$% show at my work. They had yearly performance reviews this past week. I had to laugh....I have more work years in excellence under my belt then that damn kid reviewing my work performance.
OK so Valentines Day I had 1.5 stemmed flue of bubbles. My hubby wanted me to have another and that is when I popped the top off my fever tree non-alcoholic drink and poured it in the stemmed glass.
So far this month accountability is
3.5 standard drinks
VERY HAPPY with this.
Gotta run. have a grand weekend!12 -
Two drinks last night with dinner, glad I didn’t go over. Also I stayed in my calories, so that’s a huge bonus!
How you all have a great weekend.

Weighed in at 145.6, 1.4lbs down from beginning of the month. I'll take it. Total 11.5 lbs lost since Thanksgiving, thanks to the 99% AF plan!
For me, I know it's the AF lifestyle that is driving my weight loss. I am making healthy choices and I feel really good. I did however have planned champagne for Valentine's day and but I went right back to my "normal" fruit juice nightcap drink the following day and will keep up "my new normal" to make it to month-end.
My motivation now is to get to 144 by month end. AF all the way

Goals for February
Kinda Dry February
Limit drinking to weekends and special occasions
Drink Friday or Saturday, None on Sunday (exception Superbowl)Weekend 2/2Current Streak - AF = 0
Anniversary Dinner 2/7
Weekend 2/9 ~ Superbowl
Weekend 2/16
Weekend 2/23
Goal AF = 23 +
Longest Streak - AF = 16
If I continue the AF during the week and maybe a bit on the weekend...I'll be good. It took 3 days of being almost perfect (AF + hitting macros) for the scale to go down. One day of "fun" and then back to it. Will give up my rest day on Sunday and get a decent walk in...
@foldinthecheese
Wishing you success for the rest of the month. It is hard!
@Michieb125
I think exercise is a key..When you do have wine (or your choice, mine is wine) ..when you've been exercising and know that you will continue to do so...it helps you set your limits) . Exercising with a hangover is not fun!
I get the stress stuff...and I'm still working on that as well
@Missmay and @Womona
Looks like you both are in your groove. Sorry you're still dealing with a "show" at work @Missmay. but a bit of Bubbles is ok but you kept it at a bit.
@womona ~ Stopping at two... <insert Aplause!> Not easy.
@globalhiker ~ kudos to you. While I know it's 100% true... I'm still struggling that AF will drive weight loss. I went an entire year trying to "balance" it and still have weight loss #fail. This year.. I'm doing much better but still "allowing" but very restrictive and I see the difference...as painful as it might be .. I enjoy my wine!

My car is on its last legs so there's been a lot of walking to a client's.
I've been walking 20,000 or more this past week.
I walk there anyway,but I've been doing this every morning I have her and I'm likeing it.
My left calf is telling me something different, especially when going up hill.8 -
Admittedly, I had a really rough week with some family issues. My anxiety skyrocketed a handful of days and I know I had wine to try to relax. Did it work? Sort of. Is it helpful? No, because it’s counterproductive to reach my Health and wellness goals. Things started to settle down yesterday and I am going to give it all I got to make up several AF days in a row this week.

My AF weekend didn't happen and trying not to beat myself up about it.
I had one glass of wine on Friday which is kind of a win because I stopped with one glass, not a bottle.
On Saturday I had two drinks in the afternoon (anyone else want to drink a beer while house cleaning with the music on?) and two glasses of wine with dinner. Yesterday (Sunday) I pretty much polished off a bottle of red. I was so disapointed in myself when I woke up. I dumped what was left down the drain.
Sometimes I don't even think about drinking and it's so easy and other times it's all I want to do. Ugh.

Get ready to hit the “hug” button for me!
I’ve been trying to shake off asthma symptoms from a prior cold (with meds). Instead, I got a new cold (or perhaps a relapse of the prior one).
I made the fateful decision to go to my spin class on Thursday and I feel like that set me back a week: I’ve felt sick ever since and have spent a fair amount of time on my back. This has now gone on and off for more than two weeks total. Doctors everywhere shrug their shoulders and say it’s very common to be sick for 14 days. Well, it still sucks!
Anyway, I’ve not touched a drop of CH3CH2OH since last weekend. I’m dizzy enough as it is!

Best resolve to everyone. Enjoy your good health while you have it!

@OllyBooBoo - I want to ‘encourage you to stay your course, because I think we have ALL been in your shoes so to speak! Each day is a new beginning, yesterday is past!7

Decided I wanted a productive Sunday after 2 glasses of red wine on Saturday night. Washed beloved Labrador and all the bedding in the house, then vacuumed large area rugs and cleaned the refrigerator. Oh and cleaned the shower floor, always fun lol. When the house is in order I tend to feel more in order.
No wine last night!

Omg, yes! I didn't realize it until you said it but when watching some shows I get cravings for beers, when watching others I get cravings for scotch.4 -

It was easy being AF yesterday because of a slight hangover. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.3 -

I hope the family issues get resolved soon. I admire your ability to get right back on the horse.3
